   Can not fault this restaurant in any aspect. From service, food and a comfy chair, everything was high quality. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious!!!! If we had more room in our belly's, we would have kept eating. Highly recommend!

   Booked a table with my children in a hour and a half slot before a meeting. Was brought menus and then ignored for 20min. Not given the opportunity to order or brought any table water. Staff were running around but probably understaffed. No interaction at all. It was like we were invisible. It became obvious we were not going to get our food in time to enjoy it. So we left without eating at all. This review did not allow me not to rate things I didn’t try L can’t speak on the food since we didn’t see any.

   Date of visit 25 March 2025. The review reflects my personal experience and honest opinion. It's available on both Google and Instagram (foodieguy81). While staying at Rydges, my friend and I decided to try the in-house restaurant, and wow, I was blown away. The service was exceptional. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. I especially appreciated being offered a taste of the wine before committing to a bottle. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were greeted with smiles and served promptly. We shared a charcuterie board to start, which featured dry-aged meats, grilled vegetables, marinated olives, semi-dried tomatoes, and freshly baked warm focaccia bread. It was the perfect way to begin the meal. The waiter even brought us a complimentary second bowl of warm focaccia, which was such a lovely touch. For my main, I ordered the special of the day: perfectly cooked salmon with a crispy skin, seasoned beautifully and served with garlic butter on a sweet potato purée, accompanied by roasted potatoes, asparagus, and whole cherry tomatoes. Every bite was full of flavour, a truly mouthwatering dish. We paired our meal with a bottle of Nick Spencer Pinot Gris, which was bright, aromatic, and incredibly smooth. It complemented the food perfectly. I would absolutely return for a special occasion. Everything was flawless, I couldn’t fault a single thing.    We were going to the Brisbane theatre magic show and had dinner beforehand. Wow, glad we did. Food, service, drink selection, and table we were seated at were excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend and plan to return with some friends soon. We wanted to check it out and very happy with our experience. Well done!

   We had a nice couples table at the window on Saturday night. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It took a little while to be approached for our order after being seated. We ordered mains only and received our steaks about 40 minutes after being seated however the side dishes we ordered took over 12 minutes to arrive after the steaks. The food was very good so we were happy with our meals but not the delay in the sides arriving - I'd almost finished my steak by then so it didn't go cold waiting. There seemed to be an issue coordinating all dishes for a course coming out together as I could see the serving staff were delivering food to tables as soon as it was put out by the chefs. The waitress was apologetic as was the manager when we spoke to him when paying our bill and he very nicely comp'd our 2 glasses of wine which was appreciated. I believe they were down a chef on their usual number so may have had someone less experienced helping out. We did enjoy our experience and the food so will give them another try if we're in that area in future.

   Obviously under staffed the night we booked No sign of food after 1 hour of ordering We had to be at another venue we had paid big$$ for so after asking twice about eta of our food we asked for fries as we were very hungry and running late. Staff acknowledged issue and offered on house fries which we then had as takeaway.

   We booked for the theatre of magic valentine day dinner. We have previously seen theatre of magic so knew that would be excellent - the restaurant is lovely, staff are excellent, we did find it a bit noisy however will know to ask for a table next to the window or in the booths next time. Food was great I felt it was a lot for two people however we are not big eaters, maybe when doing this again, have all the courses as shared. Could not fault the food though it was all very tasty and presented well. We will definitely come back for a meal.

    Absolutely spectacular meal. We came here for a Christmas buffet lunch and were gobsmacked at how every single element was cooked perfectly. The prawns, salads, baked fish, ham… all so tasty. We concluded that the chefs here must be so experienced, they’ve mastered every dish. The service was also top notch, warm and polite. And just as my 4 year old started to lose patience, out came Santa with personalised gifts for all the children! Her mood changed quickly haha. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially their Christmas lunch.
