Sitti Ratings and Reviews
We were seated quickly at a nice table for two. Service was a bit slow (10 minutes for us to get water). The noise was pretty standard for that type of night, minimum shout talking. I ordered a glass of red wine that never came. The lamb chops were tasty in a light sauce.
We were here to celebrate my and my daughter in law’s birthdays. Our food was quite tasty, especially loved the lamb chops. The Hors d’oeuvres we had ordered were wonderful. Our waitress was pretty tentative to us. We were over all pretty pleased with the food. The thing that we found a little surprising was we thought our waitress was being thoughtful, and brought us a pistachio cheesecake to celebrate our birthdays, we found a charge for it on the bill for seven dollars which surprised us when we really never ordered it. It was awkward to mention it to her so we left it as it was, probably our own fault for doing that. There was also an extra charge for our salads by a couple of dollars, which again we just let it go. This was my husband’s first visit here, and the extra charges on the bill had him question the service. I know it was only a few dollars, but didn’t think that it was correct. Unless, you do charge for the celebration of her birthday pistachio cheesecake. In that case she should’ve asked first. We still may go back, but it might be a while.
This was a special occasion, first not wanting to seat us since we thought we missed our reservation window... the visit turned around when I brought that up. Then they sent us the wrong appetizer and in the end tried to charge us for it (in addition to the appetizer we actually ordered). I indicated it was a special occasion and that wasn't acknowledged at all. That's the worst of it. The food is always good here.
Great time. We did a "sample" so to say of several dishes and shared. Did the three cold Mezze dish with the Mouhamra, Baba Ghanouj and Laban bi Khiar with vegtable tray. Don't skip the Mouhamra it's fantastic. We also had the mussels, which was a small bowl with about 8-9 mussels so be aware if you wanted to feast on them it will take a few orders. Then we also had the Beef & Lamb Shawarma. This was excellent and a very generous portion to share. Food was great, will go back. If it's just two of you expect to be seated right next to another couple and unfortunately have to listen to their conversations also
We were 15 minutes late for our 10 pm reservation because a prior theater performance ran overtime, but Sitti had no problem seating us and had run out of only 2 things on the menu. We ordered 4 small plates to share among 2 people, which was more than we needed. We also ordered 2 glasses of two different Lebanese wines--very good!
This was my first time at Sitti and it was a good experience. Our waiter was attentive, and we enjoyed most of the dishes. 2 of us ordered the lamb chops which were delicious but very very fatty so much so I wouldn’t order again. We are willing to return though and try something else as we enjoyed the flavors in all our meals
We've been coming to Sitti for a number of years and actually had our son's rehearsal dinner there around 5 years ago. We have noticed the last two visits that it is not up the the standards we were accustomed to experiencing.
I had the chicken with artichoke. It was just ok. I had 3 very small pieces of chicken and a scoop of rice. Not a good value for $16.
Will not be coming back.
We decided to be smart and make reservations for lunch after the Women's march because we knew it would be crowded. They gave us a booth which was great. Staff was very attentive and the everyone loved their food. Wine selection was very good. We had a fun time.
When weather is cold there is quite a draft when the door is open and makes for an uncomfortable dining experience if your anywhere near the door. I ask for my salmon to be cooked medium rare but it was well done and dry. Chicken swarma was delicious and juicy.
I would definitely consider a return visit.
Sitting is my go to "special occasion" restaurant. The atmosphere is vibrant and hip. The food is healthy, creative and consistently delicious. The staff is attentive, efficient, knowledgable and eager to accommodate the customers. I return to Sitti over and over, especially when I want a comfortable, easy evening out with my husband and/or with friends.
