I always love coming to Sitti and I try to recommend it to anyone who will listen.
Food was a little bland, although great flavors. Just needed to little more spice...
Food was good and reasonably priced. We had lamb shank, shrimp kabob, and falafel appetizer. The house bread was especially delicious.
Place was loud with conversation, having to speak louder for your own conversation. 2-top tables along wall too close, neighbor’s conversation is intrusive.
Took my girlfriend to Sitti for her birthday. She loves lamb, and they prepare lamb about as well as anyone in Raleigh, with three or four different choices of preparation styles. We each had a drink from the bar, which was tasty and prepared in the proper proportions. We split the Dip Trio, which was good, as always. As usual, I ate so much of the pita, prepared in house, I hardly had room for my main course. I had the mixed grill kebobs, which were well seasoned and tasty. Finished it all off by splitting a chocolate lava cake with butter pecan ice cream with my companion. A great go-to for a nice night out. Only downside was the ambient noise. We ate later in the evening (8:30 reservations) but found the large tables of younger patrons to almost drown out our conversation. I realize the restaurant is a converted retail space with metal ceilings, so noise echos, but it is definitely not a spot for cozy conversation.
If you are looking for a healthy night out, this is not the place. The menu is mostly meat and hummus. The noise level and ambiance is marginally acceptable. Style is a bit flat and tables are very close so it’s hard to talk without being in others conversations.
Very nice, great food, have been here before. Will go back.
Delicious as always!
Love this place.
Fantastic meal- the food was excellent and service was awesome!
Nice place to relax with many vegitarian options. Close to everything downtown Raleigh has to offer. Friendliness of waitress was a little lacking, but not horrible. Food was served promptly.
I usually love Sitti. However this visit was not so great. We were seated in the cellar. Not a fan of that area- it was cold. There was little air circulation and the amount of smoke-from either all the candles or something else- was uncomfortable. I actually had a hard time breathing by the end of the dinner. The appetizer was absolutely wonderful but I did not care for the entree.
My service was good. Wine and mixed drink was excellent.
I’ll come back as long as I never have to sit in the basement again.
Been here several times. Love the fact that the menu has lots of options -- there's always something for everyone in my party. Hot, cold, spicy... it doesn't matter. It can be loud in the middle of the restaurant but if you can get a seat in the windows, it's easy to carry a conversation.
Another celebration of a birthday. We added a person at the last minute and they were able to accommodate us. The food was wonderful and our waiter, Matt, did a great job.
Our favorite restaurant! Everything was excellent! We celebrated an early Valentines Day 2/12 at the restaurant!
Great food! Our server, Brian, was the best!
Cool atmosphere with upbeat vibe. Food is tasty with that unique something special that separates it from the pack. A bit noisy during the dinner rush, but can't keep people from talking.
Sitti never disappoints! The wine (a Lebanese red blend) was delicious; the food was perfect; and the service was great - we were seated quickly and were not left for long before our order was taken. The only thing that could have been better with our experience was that we ordered family style to share a little bit of everything and we were not given plates other than our bread plates so we were forced to cram all our portions on a tiny surface.
I am Lebanese and I thought the Kibbeh was terrific. We also loved the pita bread. Good experience
Great service from Andrew! Food and wine is always great!
First time dining here and the food was excellent. Service was a bit slow but improved when that was brought to their attention. Seated near the kitchen though, so the ambiance would have been better elsewhere in the restaurant.
My wife and I went downtown for restaurant week. We had a delightful dinner and shared multiple dishes. All delicious. We also had a delightful talk with Cashmere - owner. Will be going back to try more!
Wonderful flavors, generous portions and great service.
We went to Sitti for restaurant week, and while our food and server were both amazing, we were sitting fairly close to the door and froze to death the entire time. The door closes super slowly, so there’s just a horrible draft before it fully closes. On the plus side, their lamb dishes are some of the best I’ve ever had. Just go when it’s warm outside.
The only complaint I have about our dinner was that is was SUPER COLD outside and we were seated near the front door.... SO -it was COLD!!!! Suggestion... to close in that little entryway - between building opening and Front door. Especially since so many tables are near the front door.
Great service and delicious food!
We often dine here prior to concerts. Food I’d dependably fresh and consistent. Service is quick. They can accommodate large parties.
Lovely date night with the hubby. I tried the curried lamb stew this time and it was absolutely amazing. Overall very good service and we look forward to coming back in the future with friends.
Excellent wine list and options for vegetarians and vegans. The food and service were excellent. Our server was very helpful explaining the various dishes and making recommendations for wine and beer. Sitti is a great value.
Good food as usual. Very slow service.
Phenomenal food and excellent service!
Always good food!
Great food and service. I will return soon.
Wish that you would ask before bringing out plastic single-use cups, lids, and straws for the children automatically. More customers need to demand the change. And restaurants need to take responsibility to minimize this type of waste that will last hundreds of years, but only used once. Most children can handle a regular cup in a small size, and straws, for the most part are unnecessary. Not only would switching the practice be better for the planet, but also saves money for your business in reduced costs in buying plastics and in creating more waste (these types of plastics are NOT recyclable).
We had a nice evening with family visiting from out of town. Our server was okay but he looked like he would rather be somewhere else. We enjoyed the food although I must say it could have been warmer. The yogurt sauce on one of the appetizers was very stingy. We will return even though it seemed like an off night.
Sitti never disappoints. It’s my go to place for warm and lovely food, ambiance and service.
We had a lovely time here for New Year’s Eve! Our waiter was excellent and even though it was quite busy everything came out hot and in a timely fashion!
New Years Eve family dinner with one gluten-free diner, one pescatarian, and one skeptical teenager. And Sitti knocked it out of the park! We were seated in the basement, which was a calm escape from usual NYE merriment: we could actually talk with few distractions. Hummus sampler-amazing! Pumpkin hummus! Entrees were great: kafta, shrimp, steak kabobs, and okra stew. NYE so splurged for dessert: grownups got the baklava and creme brulee, kids licked each of their bowls of cookies/ice cream and berry sorbet. We ate enough for all of 2020! One of the best dinners out in recent memory for this lucky family!
I grew up on and have enjoyed Mediterranean food all of my life but Sitti’s menu always leaves me in awe of how masterfully the menu items combine traditional influences with modern flair. The food is completely amazing and always a culinary treat! Combined with excellent service and teamwork visible at every table, Sitti is always at the top of our list.
Vegan tasting platter was delicious but too expensive for the amount of food, and for a single person’s lunch.
