   We had an amazing dinner celebrating our anniversary at sister. All the staff was so attentive. Best service we have had anywhere in a long time. Our waitress Taylor was the high point. From menu suggestions to A+ service from start to finish she was the best. I would tell anyone to ask for her. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. Especially enjoyed the octopus appetizer.

   Was some of the best food we’ve ever eaten! Matty was an amazing server and the ambience was so great!

   The service was excellent, truly. The martini was great. The clams Vongole was the best pasta dish I’ve had in Dallas. However, the food overall was hit or miss. The octopus had a weird flavor that almost tasted like taco seasoning instead of an Italian or Mediterranean flavor which is what the menu was described to us as. The texture and tenderness was fine. But it was overpriced for only 4 bites of a an octopus that was not good, at all. Same issue on the seasoning with the carrots. We sent them back. However they did make up for it by comping the carrots and adding a free desert. We would back but only stick to the pasta dishes. 3.5 stars.

   The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the pesto, the arugula salad, the meatballs, and the red fish. All very flavorful and delicious. The food came out hot and the drinks were amazing. The only drawback is that the large dishes were explained as shareable. So we expected to have enough for at least 2 people, but they are just one serving. For example, the red fish is only 1 filet. There were 4 people in our party. So to explain that the red fish with one filet of fish (which we weren’t told) is sufficient for 4 people isn’t what yo would expect if you’re told it’s shareable. Nevertheless, it was still a great experience.

   I adore coming to Sister. The food, atmosphere, cocktails, and general vibe are pitch perfect. I brought a friend tonight and was hoping she would enjoy it as much as I do and she was happily impressed. The Z’atar focaccia with olive tapenade was a surprise and a delight. Our server could have been a bit more attentive, and while delicious, we felt the dessert was a little lacking in its presentation. But all in all, a delightful meal.
