About Siroc Restaurant
Chef Martin Lackovic, formerly of Galileo, I Matti, and The Caucus Room opened Siroc Restaurant on McPherson Square with brothers Keram and Mehdi Dris who run the front of the house. Siroc's seasonal menu features cooking inspired by Italy and the Mediterranean with housemade pastas, charcuterie, salads, and entrées. The new restaurant takes its name from a wind that blows from northern Africa to Italy and the Mediterranean.

Siroc Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Tasty food in an elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere. I met a friend for lunch and we were both pleased with our very tasty dishes and the helpful, friendly service. I had the delicious squid ink pasta with lobster, shrimp, and calamari, while my friend had the tenderloin steak, which I tasted, too. It was equally appealing. It was easy to have a nice conversation, excellent food and friendly service.
Unexpected after-Theatre Delight
Three of us walked up to Siroc after a matinee at the National Theatre. The food was varied - each of us ordered a different entree and shared two different salads -- and we enjoyed them immensely. The black (pepper) spaghetti carbonara was new for me - -the addition of black pepper to the pasta was subtle, yet just enough edge to liven up a traditional carbonara pairing. Try it -- you'll like it!
Food was excellent and service was very good. Only negative was there were two very large parties the evening I went. That made it loud and detracted from the service some. It is a fairly small restaurant. Would be better to limit large parties to only one at the same time. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend it and definitely would go back.
What a delight to dine in such a cozy setting! The charming and professional Paulina anticipated every wish. We chose the evening's special, pasta with a vodka sauce and shrimp, preceded by bread made in Heaven. Generous servings of both -- my husband was thrilled with my take-home. We started early and it was blissfully quiet -- by the end of the meal, several large groups increased the noise level
What a nice experience. Our server Marina knows her way around the menu and wine list. Three words... split... pasta... order. It gives you more tasting options and you’ll want to try everything on the menu. Portions are more than enough, but save room for dessert! This was our second visit and there are more on the horizon.
One of my favorite moderately priced places in downtown WDC, though prices there are creeping up. Food is reliably good, service is attentive without being intrusive, and dishes arrive in a timely manner. Excellent salads and pastas, and tasty entrees. Better desserts than most Italian-themed restaurants.
This is an outstanding restaurant. The food is delicious, the portion sizes are just right. The owners are each wonderful people and one of them is always on site. You should ask to meet them. The service is excellent. I cannot say enough great things about Siroc. I highly recommend it!
Siroc is the most underrated restaurant in Washington. The food (Italian) is delicious, the portions are generous, the prices are reasonable and the service staff is unbeatable. Great chef. See his background in the restaurant website. Martin has cooked at some well respected restaurants. Plus he is an interesting person. I take lots of clients to his place and everyone of them finds reasons to return. Love the place.
