Dinner: Monday - Saturday: 5:30pm - 10:30pm Sunday: 5pm - 9:30pm
Another delightful evening at Siroc. Our meal was scrumptious and Eva and her service were wonderful. Thank you.
Siroc is terrific, except... The food is creative and delicious (very very creative and very very delicious) and the service good (although we did have to send someone for our waiter, but then he got back on track). The price was very reasonable. The "except" is the noise level. We got the little alcove in the back - about 60% shielded by the walls - but it was still almost impossible for the 4 of us to talk across the table. I heard every word of from the man sitting directly behind my left ear, and I'm sure someone else heard parts of ours because raising our voices was the only option, but talking to each other that way was truly uncomfortable - not to mention public.
The staff was very accommodating to our small group and made us feel welcome. The option of half-portion entrees gives the option to taste other flavors from the appetizers and desserts. Yum, spiced pear and ice cream - a seasonal treat!
Excellent service and very good food. Decent wine list overall, and nice ambience. Two minor quibbles kept it from being Outstanding overall. First, the food was too salty. I've noticed this increasingly in restaurants these days: chefs are adding salt to enhance the flavor. But the best chefs don't have to do that, and later on one is feeling parched and having to drink a lot of water. This is not a fast food or a bar food milieu: one shouldn't have that experience in a restaurant of this caliber. Second, the wine list should be updated, or the staff should be trained to tell the customer that the wine being brought to the table is a later vintage from the one presented on the wine list, explain to the customer that they have run out of the listed vintage, and also bring the wine list along in case the customer would like to make another selection.. The customer shouldn't have to figure all this out on his own. One doesn't need a trained sommelier: It's just common sense and good customer relations to do this.
I've been to Siroc in the past, and have always had outstanding food and service. I plan to return in the future, and look forward to it.
Siroc is without question, one of the best restaurants in DC, I eat there monthly and highly recommend it to anyone that loves pasta and other Italian food.
Great experience!!! Top-notch service, ambiance was intimate & cozy, and the food was delish!!! The Chef was very generous to my boyfriend with a complimentary dessert for his birthday...
Great food, ambience and service
The food was phenomenal! The portions were perfect sizes and the service was incredible. Our waitress provided some of the best service we’ve had in a long time. Great intimate spot for a date or special occasion. I can’t wait to go back again!
We frequent Siroc’s many times during the year and have never been disappointed. Excellent cuisine and service!
We had a lovely time at Siroc. We ordered several dishes and shared them. The stuffed squid was very good. Squid ink pasta was delicious. Their pasta special of seafood in pesto sauce with sun dried tomatoes was very good. And the grilled branzino was perfect. The service was great, and the restaurant is beautiful.
Love this place. Great Italian food in a warm, cozy, quiet environment. A rarity these days.
I made an 11:30 am lunch reservation and we were the first ones in the restaurant. Once more tables were seated, it appeared there was only one server and one helper for the whole place. I felt the service could have been better and there should have been at least two servers. The food was good and I would definitely return.
Great food and service. We were very welcome at the restaurant. Delicious pasta and fish. Highly recommended.
They were great helping with a surprise bday!! Food was absolutely delicious.
We enjoyed our dinner - the pasta was fresh as could be and the seafood was prepared perfectly. The staff was very friendly and at tentative. Not too noisy but not too quiet in the restaurant. Overall we’d recommend this for sure.
Great restaurant! The pasta was absolutely delicious and the service was great!
We had an “amuse bouche” sent out by the chef to enjoy with our cocktail as we waited for our order. Unfortunately it was a cold overly buttered ravioli- probably delicious if warm. The next course was lukewarm & mediocre- so I asked our waitress to please make sure my pasta was hot- which she did- and it was absolutely delicious!!!! I’ve eaten here before and it’s usually delicious & reliable. The waiters are lovely though the hostess seemed bored by her job.
Once again a great place...took the entire family and had a nice dinner! Great service and good quality food!!
Everything about this restaurant is wonderful! Very welcoming atmosphere!
I have recently had the opportunity to host two important business meetings at Siroc, one with foreign visitors. In each instance the food has been superb, the service extremely good, and the setting perfect for important discussions. Would recommend the restaurant highly for business lunches as well as their outstanding dinner menu. John Cruden
Sorry we were late! Really enjoyed lunch. Thanks!
We loved this restaurant and wish we had been sometime before! Excellent food, beautiful dining room and wonderful thoughtful service. This was part 2 of my birthday celebration -- first Italian restaurant we tried earlier in the week had disappointed us and this was 200% better!! Under-the-radar gem with great fresh pasta, excellent seafood and the best kind of staff: leaving us alone when we wanted and available at just the right moment when needed.
Visiting DC fir vacation and stopped in for dinner.
This is a great venue for a quick business lunch. It is quiet, efficient, friendly, and the food is great!
Best Italian meal we've ever had! Homemade pasta, creative dishes, wonderful friendly & knowledgeable Staff, nice ambiance, and a great location.
Good food and service. Good value and great location. Totally gets the job done!
Very cozy Italian place with great service
Not on the menu but you can order half a salad and half a pasta. Caesar with salmon and fettuccine bolognese was fabulous, as was the cabernet by the glass.
Food and service was great. Will definitely go back.
The food is always wonderful, but the service is what keeps me coming back. We work within a few blocks, and this is the absolutely perfect spot for a business lunch.
The waitress (Lana) was very nice and accommodated our late arrival even though the kitchen was about to close..
Second time there and i will be back everytime imbin dc. Love the food and service.
I have been going to Siroc monthly for the past decade and the quality, freshness and flavor of their entire menu is incredible. Every meal I have had there is excellent and the prices are very good as well. The pasta is very nicely prepared and you can order two different options and get 1/2 size order of each which is great because you can get a favorite dish, mine is the gnocchi, and can try something else. Siroc is one of the best restaurants in DC. I look forward to returning many times.
My only hesitation about recommending this restaurant is that it will get too crowded. Excellent food, service, location, and quiet enough to hear your dining companions. Hard to beat that.
Server (Marina) never smiled. Downtrodden attitude set the tone for the meal. Veggie pasta dish was too spicy.
We enjoyed our lunch. The only thing I will note is that there were a lot of people having business lunches there, and yet, the pace of service was a bit slow - I think most people leave an hour for a work lunch, and it definitely took 3 people 90 minutes to get in and out. Not a big deal - we enjoyed the ambiance, food, and friendliness, but it did take a little longer than we thought. I would especially recommend the spicy lamb and red pepper gnocchi. I was fabulous.
My favorite DC restaurant, impeccable service amazing cuisine!
2nd time dining here and the food was perfect. Great service too.
