Love Siroc but they should advise people that sitting outside during lunch might be noisy right now due to street construction
As always, dinner at Siroc was delightful. If we lived in D. C., we’d eat here often. Since we live on the other side of the country, we come whenever we can. The service is excellent, the menu is varied, and the specials are always worth trying. Excellent wine list, too. We’ll definitely be back!
Ordered the ravioli recommended by our waitress. It was maybe the best meal I've ever eaten. Delicate, lovely food.
Ever time I am in the DC area, this is the one restaurant I put on my calendar. The service is fast and the food is always great.
A hidden DC gem. The weathered awning outside is misleading. Homemade pasta, homemade sauces, always fresh fish dishes, and plenty of great imported wines. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. I went two nights in a row, introducing friends and colleagues.
Always consistently good. Nice atmosphere. Quiet for DC but comfortable and the food is always inventive yet not out there. The nightly specials are always the best dishes but I have my go to favorites. Nice wine list as well and the staff are solicitous but not overwhelming which is such a relief. Thanks Siroc. We’ll be back
Beyond excellent! Service is second to none. The chef is magnificent. Best food and price you’ll ever have.
Hadn't been in several years but still enjoyed the food. It was quiet and pleasant and the waitress was nice and efficient.
We were pleasantly surprised that their dishes were prepared very well. The restaurant was not as busy considering their food was very good.
This wonderful place continues to be one of our favorite spots in the DC area. The staff is warm, inviting and wonderful. The service is always incredible. The food is fresh, perfectly prepared and delightful. Food and service is always consistently excellent. I can not say enough wonderful things about this lovely restaurant.
On a cool August Saturday evening, this was our first outdoor dinner at Shiroc overlooking the quiet, peaceful McPherson Square: it was hard to image we were only three blocks from the White House! The service was even more personable and professional than we normally enjoy at Shiroc and the food -- especially the lamb shank -- and wine were outstanding. Shiroc is one of Washington's best kept secrets.
Very nice evening. Quiet dining room and superb service - nicely paced but not intrusive. Excellent food. Pasta was outstanding. Housemade burrata was very good. Tiramisu was excellent. Our first time here, and we will be returning. A nice discovery in a very convenient location.
I always love going to Siroc but my pasta this time was merely good, not great. Fortunately, service was excellent, and tho it was absolutely full and noisy it was remarkably easy to have a conversation. And the bread and olive oil is a wonderful way to start the meal. So, Siroc will still be a favorite, especially considering the options within a few blocks in every direction, which tend to be overpriced and not great.
Always a wonderful experience I have only dined for lunch at this point. Service from the moment you enter the door is top notch as is the quality of the food. It is definitely worthy of a visit or two!
The food was good, but the service was a bit odd. Slow service, and the wine ordering was extremely weird - we ordered bottle A, and the waitstaff brought out bottle B, saying that it had replaced bottle A on the menu and was very similar. The blend was very different, but we accepted the substitution anyway. We should have just asked for the wine menu again to order something else - it felt almost like we were being "sold" on the alternate wine. Shame, the food was very good, but we probably won't be returning
Very accommodating. We had a vegetarian diner with us and they were very good in meeting her desires. Food was very good and the wait staff was very professional. Will go back.
Excellent service and food! All of the staff worked together to anticipate each guest's needs. Food was brought out in perfect intervals and tasted superb. I especially enjoyed seeing the Manager helping out his staff, performing quick cleaning tasks, and asking guests about their experience in a non-intrusive or awkward demeanor.
Waiter was a complete condescending snob during DC Restaurant Week 2019, if you are young diners capitalizing on the affordability and value of Restaurant Week prepare to be judged and looked down upon by staff.
Outstanding food with ever-friendly and responsive service makes this a regular spot for me. I use Siroc for business meals as well as get-togethers with close friends. Also an excellent date spot. Spring and fall also offer an amazing patio.
A friend and I dined at Siroc during restaurant week. Upon seating, we were asked about water (we chose tap). It then took 15+ minutes before we were offered drinks! The wine we both ordered had turned. When reported, the waitress said she would open a new bottle, which she did - no argument.
The restaurant week menu has four courses, three choices each. We were told - and this is at 630pm, meaning early - that the burrata was out. How can 1 of 3 appetizer be out of stock so early?
Once we ordered, the food came out at good intervals and service was much better.
I enjoyed 3 of the 4 courses more than I expected. The chocolate dessert was only so-so.
So appetizers and entrees highly recommended, service may be slow to start.
Best Indian my family and I have had in a long time. Service was excellent. Noise level was horrible.
Great for group dinners. Good food, homemade pasta.
Terrific pastas and salads. Terrific pastas and salads.
We went for a friend’s reunion on a Friday night and chose Siroc based on location and decent reviews. Service was prompt. Bread was good. We skipped appetizers and went right to main courses. One ordered ravioli crab special; one ordered salmon; one ordered branzino; one pasta. All reported food as “good/okay.” Portions were good. Wine bottle was reasonable by DC standards. Desserts were good. No one ever attempted to refill water. (One had a bottle of sparkling water so shared after table glasses of water were emptied. ) but we were there for 3 hours. And the restaurant never filled up. Overall it was a good experience but DC has so many choices for restaurants which means we will not return.
Three of us had a great lunch with well prepared food. The starter salads were beautifully presented and perfectly dressed. I had the Branzino which was delicious. The other guests mentioned they enjoyed the chicken panino and scallops with pasta.
Post-trial get together. Very accommodating for a group paying with separate checks.
A consistent gem of a spot for a nice business lunch. I had not been in a while, and this visit reminded me of how nice this restaurant is.
Has been an outstanding restaurant for years. Yesterday the wait staff was very inflexible with my request for a simple modification on my dish.
One of the best most enjoyable consistently high quality dining experiences in D.C. Siroc never disappoints.
Everything was delicious! Great value for the price.
Our going away staff lunch for Fred Watts was a wonderful experience! We will definitely return in the very near future! Thank you very much, Roger
Siroc is always a treat. Great food and service. And it's a rare bit of calm and quiet in the noisy DC scene. Thanks to Mehdi and staff!
Dinner was wonderful! Arrived just at opening time for dinner, and the rest of the experience was excellent. Reasonably priced with excellent customer service, quiet ambience, and pampered care. The chef did pay attention to the balance of flavors. Please check out the "sharable starters or the Lamb shank and Squid ink -- they are outstanding. Overall a very satisfying meal experience worth repeating
Extraordinary as always. Great food, the chef is unparalleled, the staff is eclectic and exceptional. If you like Italian food you can’t go wrong here!
Once again, Siroc was everything we hoped for. Great food, excellent service and a wonderful experience. Branzino was prepared perfectly. My companions pasta looked and smelled excellent. I did sneak a taste. :)
Service was outstanding. Food was good but not great. A little too heavy on the salt. Overall a good experience.
Staff was very polite and attentive. Food was delicious!
Lobster pasta excellent - salad wonderful. Wine selection was quite nice. Wait staff very proficient and not chummy.
Always excellent food and superb service. We have been many times and plan to visit many more!!!
