One of the few excellent Italian eateries in the city! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed both of our meals. The wine selection was also on point! The chef provided us complimentary appetizers which were delicious! And the specials were both delicious and creative!
Overall, service, food, and price were all fantastic!
Very delicious, wonderful fresh bread, simple menu, relaxing ambiance, fantastic desert: very solid experience overall. Squid in pasta is the best!
Excellent experience! Great service and the food was incredible!
Siroc is one of my favorite restaurants - I don't know why it doesn't seem to get noticed as a top Italian restaurant location in DC by the newspapers and other restaurant reviews. Delicious homemade pastas, cozy ambience, friendly service, nice selection of wines, and good people-watching - never know when a White House or Treasury political official will be sitting right next to you.
My husband and 15 yr old vegetarian daughter were visiting DC and looking for a place to eat. My daughter loves american style italian food so we decided on Siroc; however, we never looked at the menu before we went. When we got there and were seated we looked at the menu and realized it was all pretty authentic food. In fact, we didn't even recognize anything on the menu. When the waitress came to our table we apologized because we felt awful that there wasn't anything we would eat (being super picky eaters that also don't eat seafood). The waitress asked us what we would like and my daughter said either fettuccini Alfredo or spaghetti with marinara sauce and they actually made it especially for us! The service was amazing and the food was delicious! And dessert... oh my gosh!!! Wow!!!
Service and food are always reliable. Best place for a delicious business meal!
This was a business mean and I asked that consideration be given to assigning a table of to the side in a location suitable for business discussions. That is exactly what I was given. The food was excellent and the prices reasonable.
My husband and I found this spot while visiting DC recently. The service and food was impeccable. Always a plus to find a restaurant serving veal osso bucco...only improvement would be presentation with a marrow spoon (as the marrow is always my favorite part)! We loved it and would recommend to anyone wanting a lovely Italian dinner with friends or a loved one. Not super kid friendly, although if you’re kids have more adult and refined tastes, they would also fare well.
Had pasta dish for lunch - penne with a light cream sauce and a few sprinkles of pancetta. A few veggies would have improved the dish considerably. Will give it a second try but the first outing wasn’t very impressive.
Siroc continues to excel at the business of providing a first-rate culinary experience with excellent service and at prices that deliver great value. It is clearly a favorite gathering spot of the K Street crowd, and also draws from the journalism-think tank ranks. Chef Martin Lackovic and his partners, Mehdi and Keram Kris, have created one of DC's finest. It's always a pleasure to be there . . . and to come back. Looking forward to good weather so we can enjoy the outdoor setting at Siroc.
We had a great time. Wonderful food, pleasant and attentive service, and great overall ambiance. This is among my favorite resaurants.
Siroc is one of my all time favorite restaurants. Great Italian food and good service. The service is always exceptional and timely. The Chef Martin always develops an inventive menu.
Affordable cuisine in a friendly, uncomplicated setting. Wonderful!
Siroc never fails to delight. Food and service were impeccable. Scallop appetizer was AMAZING!!! Can't wait to return.
A really enjoyable evening. Siroc was crowded, but the waitress and other servers made us feel special -- they were focused on meeting our every need. My daughter had pasta and it was excellent. My osso buco was among the best that I have ever tasted. The scallops were perfectly cooked.
As usual, the pasta was so fresh and flavorful. I had the buckwheat paparradelle with duck ragout and mushroom and a unique sauce that was so tasty. The 'buckwheat' is not a typical wheat pasta - frankly I could hardly taste any difference it was so delicious. The frisee fennel salad also wonderful. My colleagues had the nicoise salad with salmon. Service was friendly and quick, especially considering the crowd. I've never seen Siroc full and it was indeed full to capacity for lunch! Usually it's quiet, but it was a bit noisy for lunch, but we could still talk fine. I never understood why Siroc seems to not get noticed in the top Italian restaurant reviews - many of the pastas are homemade, the sauces fresh and delicious, many staff are Italian - it's wonderful! And my colleagues agree is an unnoticed gem - as do my best friends.
Excellent service. We had the smoked salmon appetizer which was unique and tasty. Entrees came out quickly and were incredible. It's a small restaurant but wasn't crowded on a Wednesday evening. Definitely recommend for tasty, authentic Italian dishes.
Very good experience- great food and attentive service. Perfect for a business dinner.
It was great for a big group and was pretty quiet.
Overall good experience and consistent. I’ve been there many times, but no one acknowledges me unless I’m with my friend Chris S.
We had a group of 4 and everyone was very happy with their dinner and I felt it was reasonably priced. We all said we would go back if provided the opportunity.
Siroc is one of the best restaurants in the White House/McPherson Square area. Always reliable.
Menu is interesting but not crazy-trendy. An excellent place to take small parties of business clients or friends for lunch or dinner.
As always, the food and service was excellent. Siroc never disappoints - would gladly eat there every week!
Limited menu which was very different than the online menu which they claimed was not looked at for a very long time.. Duh. What's the point?
The taste was OK, although some of the seafood in the pasta tasted bitter and like those from frozen packs.. Prices are moderate but it makes you wonder whether it was a good choice. For me it wasn't.
Went for the Valentine's Day prix fixe menu. Overall, not a satisfying experience. The food was only "ok", not what I would expect for this $$ of a restaurant. The food wasn't distinctive, and lacked any "wow" factor. Unfortunately, I was really unsatisfied with what was an important night.
Siroc's downtown location makes it convenient for my wife and me to meet for lunch but we took this week's Valentine's Day for an outstanding dinner. The atmosphere in the evening is even more cozy and pleasant than at lunch and the evening sound level was just as conversation-supporting as it is at lunch. The service is equally professional and friendly. Each plate was creatively and beautifully presented, wonderfully flesh and flavorful, and healthy. The wine pairing was excellent. Overall, this was an outstanding and good value experience. We will definitely return for dinner again, soon.
I hadn't heard of this place but a friend recommended it and it had excellent reviews online. The food was spectacular (especially the beef tenderloin) and perfectly cooked. The service was very hospitable but not overbearing - in fact, our server was quite friendly. We even saw an engagement! I highly recommend this place.
A lovely restaurant -- nice and quiet, yet suitable for romantic date or for dinner with friends. The menu was the perfect size and selection of different dishes. The service staff was also well-mannered, checking in without hovering.
While I have not been in about a year ( been out of town ) ....I was happy to return to Siroc. Table for 2 for lunch on a Friday was roomy and the restaurant is quiet enough that you can actually have a normal conversation. Burrata with roasted tomatoes for a starter was nice size and tasty. Special fish was black bass with asparagus.......perfectly cooked with a somewhat smoky flavor. Dinners are just as good with daily specials which do not disappoint. Martin, the chef/owner came out and we chatted for quite a while..........and took his suggestions on the bass. He buys/cooks with whatever may be local and fresh.
Lovely service, as usual, and delicious food! Brought a couple friends who hadn’t been here before. They loved it too. Thank you, Marina (our server) and all at Siroc who make this such a welcoming place to truly dine.
We went to Siroc for our anniversary dinner. We had a nice quiet table in a corner, as requested. All the food was very well prepared, and the service was very good. The tab was very reasonable considering the quality of what we ate and drank.
Recomendable
Everything was wonderful!
Excellent restaurant, good bang for the buck! Gourmet food. Definitely a go-to repeatedly place!
I have had the pleasure of dining at Siroc several times a year. The food, presentation, atmosphere, and service are perfect. It is my favorite special restaurant in DC.
Great restaurant. Generous portions for restaurant week. Great value and foods were delicious .
Great Restaurant Week Experience !!! 4 course meal for $35 and everything tasted amazing. We did have to wait for our table but other than the food and service was stellar
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The service, food, etc are always excellent. The servers and manager always are pleasant and treat us well. Reservations are a must.
The appetizer was extremely good.
Great food, good wines all at a great price as it was restaurant week.
