This was our first time dining at Sirena. Everything was amazing! Patrick was our server and he was funny, kind and made our experience extra special. Also we were accommodated by being moved from outdoor dining to indoor dining with no difficulty. The food was excellent, and the the instrumental music was PERFECT! Sirena Ristorante is my new favorite, go-to restaurant!
It was our first time at Sirena's. Thumbs-up for entire experience! The food was excellent; we ordered from the specials menu and wow, it was great! Service was attentive right from the start. I HIGHLY recommend enjoying the day in Long Branch and visiting Sirena's Restorante.
While the food is excellent, the service and attention to detail is so poor I would never return. The waiter confused the order. The pork chop came cold and then it was over 30 minutes to get another. The chicken order came as a completely different dish. The fish came with out the potatoes.
The manager knew there was problems but when I repeatedly went to get her, she was standing around laughing with a waiter or with the hostess.
One of the other waiters explained that our waiter was young and inexperienced-if the manger knew that, why wasn’t she in the room overseeing the short wait staff?
She said later-sorry for the couple of “hiccups” I haven’t experienced that poor a service experience in many years.
Summary: the staff have given up caring, they didn’t want to hear it, could care less about our experience This is a take out only place. Just check the bag before you leave.
Food was delicious. Finally ate inside
Sunday 8:30PM reservation. Initial drink service took 15 minutes and remainder of the meal was super rushed. Entrees were bought out when both appetizers were only half eaten and left even though we said that we weren’t ready. Second server ‘took over’ for first server and Patrick was much better than Caroline. She would not let us place our appetizer orders unless we placed our entree orders at the same time??? We were not planning to stay beyond 10:00PM and apparently neither was the staff. Not cool.
The food , as always, was excellent (osso boca, pastas)! We were with Manhattan foodies who exclaimed the ossa boca the best! And the hostesses were serene even thought we postponed our arrival three times, from 5, to6 and finally 6:45! An above average experience every time!!!!
We had a reservation but still had a little wait. It was extremely noisy from 8-9:30 and it was raining so there was no outdoor seating. Waiter snd food were quite good. We will be back
Very good service by David our server
Having to wait twenty minutes for a table after having a reservation is inexcusable. Than getting the worse table there when five other empty tables with better views were available. Than waiting twenty five minutes for water and bread. I’m gluten intolerant and it’s mentioned in my request. Another ten minutes I had to get the manger and asked what’s the problem. She got our drinks. Finally after another fifteen minutes the waitress came by took the order never asked if we wanted more drinks. Never saw her again. Food arrives and it’s not even what we ordered was for the other table behind us. Once our food did come it was good as it always is thank God they have a decent chef we had the Bronzino and pizza and then it was time for dessert but by the time I got the waitresses attention it was another ten minutes and she asked us if we wanted dessert and I was like I don’t think so I’m not gonna wait another half an hour for that. I understand it’s post Covid and they’re short staffed but as being customers at least make mention that you’re shortstaffed overbooked at least give us the seat that I requested don’t bring bread to my table when are these the same gluten intolerant all these things can be overlooked. The biggest concern I have is that they knew we were unhappy and I was probably going to write a review but to my surprise the next morning when I was going to write the review I noticed my reservation was canceled which was canceled on their part fortunately I was able to go to Open Table to have them give me my points because basically they were taking that money out of my pocket and I was able to get my review so other diners know what’s going on. I only hope the next time we visit since we are local that the experience will be better.
Last chance to have an outdoor by the sea moment before weather gets too cold. Beautiful table outside on the railing, attentive service despite staff shortages. Excellent fritto misto and salad appetizer. Chicken Scapariello was absolutely amazing, one of the best I ever had. This restaurant is a gem.
Service was awful. Food was good.
One of our favorite restaurants but not quite what it was. Still worth going, but food slipped slightly. All else great, so my hope is they will come back post-pandemic
We ate outdoors on the boardwalk, letting the breaking ocean waves wash us in serene sound. The food was superb. We both loved our meals. My wife had the spaghetti and I had the swordfish. We weren't rushed. It was her birthday so I wanted it to be special, and it was. She said it was her best birthday ever. Even though it was a two hour drive to get there, we agreed to visit frequently. Thanks.
Prompt pleasant and efficient service. Wonderful location. Food was perfectly prepared
Food was mediocre - poor service
I usually love the food but tonight the salad had a potent onion taster the tomatoes were bland and my pizza was over cooked salmon was delicious
We had a beautiful table outside, overlooking the beach. A great way to enjoy a surprise sunny day! Food and service were amazing.
Halibut and pork chose were outstanding... went above and beyond for me on a special bday night
Our Son’s 21st birthday.
Our waitress forgot to bring the Caesar salad and I think we paid for it.
The setting was great, the food was great but the service was poor.
It took about 45 minutes to come and give us water and bread the food didn’t come for two hours we were going to get up and leave but it’s a shame because we go there all the time and the service was just terrible this time
Great menu, good wine list, friendly atmosphere. WE dine there often.
We have been going to Sirena for Friday date night (among other nights) for 14 years. We keep coming back because it never disappoints. The food and the ambiance are amazing, but Freddy, our fantastic waiter all these years, truly makes the experience five-star worthy every time ❤️.
We had a nice dinner at Sirena for our anniversary. It was a little cool to sit outside so they found us a window seat with a beach and ocean view. Started with glasses of wine and appetizers of cesear salad and a small plate of meatballs. Both were very good. For dinner I opted for Pork Chop Diavlo and my wife a nice fish dish. The pork chop took some extra time to cook but it was excellent The peppers on the dish were very, very hot so beware if you don't like high heat. For dessert we had flowerless chocolate cake and I a raspberry sorbet. Both great. Overall a nspecial night out. We will be back.
Waitress was nice and helpful recommending great meals. I had their Italian chicken dish which was awesome and my wife had a scallops special dish that she said was great.
The restaurant was extremely busy, which is great to see. We went to the bar since we were early for our reservation, the bartender was really sweet and helped us right away - our martinis were perfect.
The bar was really, really loud.
We were sat 5 minutes past our reservation time, which is not an issue at all for us. We sat indoors, on the upper level - loved, loved that area - will request it for future visits.
All the food we had was fabulous, wine list is perfect, our server- very attentive and friendly.
Looking very forward to the next visit!
The service was absolutely atrocious but the food was very good.
Wonderful food & service.
Ocean view is great!
Our second time & it was very good.
All was great. The noise level however was unusually high because the restaurant was adding an outside awning near out table.
The food was good as always, the service is suffering and needs attention to details, however due to the noise level from a large private party could not wait to finish and leave. The restaurant is ill equipped to host large rambunctious groups, they large party is within the dining area with not separation for noise control. If you wish to enjoy a nice quiet dinner this may not be the place especially when hosting large parties.
Sad to watch the decline of this restaurant. From service including the hostess whose cold welcome started things off on a sour note to the drinks, food quality and even the torn upholstery on the banquettes, this former gem needs some polishing.
We enjoyed an appetizer of mussels and for dinner one had the veal chop parmigiana which was tender and delicious and the red snapper dinner was prepared very well. The service was good and the ambiance was nice. The menu has limited choices and no substitutions and the prices are a bit high.
Red snapper and halibut delicious. Also had eggplant appetizer very good. The restaurant has a romantic cozy setting.
