Excellent food and service, and worthy of its Michelin Star!
Food was lackluster for price, actually provided feedback online and never heard back. Service was not that of a Michelin Star Restaurant.
Valentine’s Night. They accommodated is being one hour late due to traffic; we thought we’d have to settle for a counter seat but they still found a table for two for us. They only offered a fixed menu due to Valentine’s night. All dishes were superb such that my wife and I definitely want to go back to try dishes from their regular menu.
Just discovered this jewel and alas, they are moving from current location with new location not yet announced. Whenever Siren returns, you must try. Truly outstanding fish dishes.
Terrific meal and experience
Osterer caviar, Mediterranean Bream was outstanding. Great value and service was great.
Good food, good service, we would recommend to a friend. That being said, we're foodies and like trying out new restaurants and creative chefs. While the food was good, it was nothing unique which we had not tasted before. So, overall a good place but nothing cutting edge. Suprised they are Michelin rated.
My first time in Siren was an amazing experience. The service (thanks Ralph!) was impeccable. The food was lovely and the suggested wine pairings really added to the meal. We did have an early reservation so the restaurant was relatively quiet and great for easy conversation. I would absolutely recommend to friends.
The food was creative, delicious and very carefully prepared. Service was exceptional. Not much else to say except that when Siren relocates, we'd prefer a dining room that's a little less heavy feeling and brighter in color. Otherwise, a lovely dining experience.
We decided to check out Siren for a birthday dinner, and overall, it was a good experience. The service with great-with one exception-no one EVER refilled our wine glasses. Not a big deal but kind of weird! The food was average-good. I was not blown away but the dishes, nor do I understand why Siren has a Michelin Star over other restaurants in the area. Check it out if you want something new but don't expect anything mind blowing. The food is fine, and the ambiance is cute.
My boyfriend and I have been to at least 10 Michelin star restaurants and Siren is the worst one we've been to so far. We ordered 5 different dishes. They are pretty but taste terrible. Mostly are very salty. We didn't finish any of them since they were too salty and numb our tongues after few bites. The server was ok. I assumed he was too busy to come by to check about the foods so we did get a chance to say anything to him. Only the food runner came to drop foods at the table after our server took order from us at the beginning. Overall, I don't recommend this place since it's overprice compare to the food and service we received.
Awesome seafood; pricey but worth it. Loved the ambiance; it was so quiet and so great for talking.
Excellent food! We were pleasantly surprised by the wine list - lots of quality wines. The service was also very good>
Food presentation was superb Flavors very good. Service was excellent, and wine choices adequate.
The restaurant is beautifully appointed. Valet service for parking not apparent as you must go to the hotel Darcy next door.
I was disappointed given the 1 Michelin Star rating of Siren. Food was definitely the strong point - unique tasty flavors and presentations. However, the ambience and service were not Michelin quality. Our server was attentive and polite, but behind me there was a waiter with dirty dishes on a tray almost hitting my head, someone took my bread plate before the bread came, our table was a long rectangle shape for 2 people, no table cloth, and odd when someone from kitchen came out to just show us the dover sole in the skillet. All of this sounds snobby i'm sure, but i have been to almost every MIchelin restaurant in DC now, and several in NYC, Chicago and San Francisco, and Siren is simply not in the same category.
Everything was perfect. Only 2 things could be a little bit improved:
Sitting - the table height tend to be slightly too high compared to the seats.
Food - starters and main courses are really interesting. Wonderfully researched ingredients, composition, seasoning and presentation. Dessert menu could be a little bit improved. What we ordered gave us a sense that the chef is more a main course than a dessert kind of person.
Great meal great service. The sunchoke brulee is a must get. Fantastic meal !!
Super delicious seafood and flavors all around. The service was very attentive at first however slowed down a bit as we continued to order and eat however still gave a four as we were happy with the pace of the meal and knowledge of our server! All in all a very nice spot.
Gorgeous presentation and interesting menu. Delicious. Service was fine but not spectacular.
Definitely acknowledged our anniversary dinner. Attentive staff. Great presentation and plating.
The ambience was spectacular. The service was also top shelf… The portions (as we say in Boston) were wicked small. Everything broke down to two bights per person. These were incredible bites… But there were only two… 3 to4 would have been ideal. The presentation was lovely, and my wife appreciated minimal saucing with additional sauce to add as needed. All in all it was a spectacular evening, excellent wine selection and recommendations by the staff.
Fantastic food, beautiful ambiance, impeccable service.
The entire staff was superlative inn attentiveness, knowledge and professionalism. Best service ever and the food was incredible
Amazing food, chic ambiance and great service, perfect for seafood lovers and foodies. Live music was a nice touch and not overwhelmingly loud.
My wife and I enjoyed our first date of 2019. The food, live music and staff were all exceptional. Having been to many top rated restaurants I can say Siren is near the top of my list. My wife is still talking about the Caviar!
Go for the seafood platter! WORTH-EVERY-PENNY! Cocktails are also delightful & the fish dishes were impressive.
The service was impeccable. Our meal was exquisite. We asked for off menu cocktails based on flavor profile and were pleasantly surprised. Overall an extraordinary meal.
We had New Year’s Eve dinner at Siren, and it was outstanding! We have rarely had a better meal in DC, with every course of the price fixe meal a gourmet dining experience. Service matched the food, and made the evening simply perfect.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Never dining at a R.W. Restaurant ever again. Marcel sucked for my husband’s birthday a few years ago and NYE with them just sucked even more. The food at Siren was delicious, but the service was horrendous. No bread. 45 minute wait between the second and third course. Had to ask for silverware for three of the five courses. How the F does this restaurant have a Michelin star?
The food was outstanding and beautifully served. The coatcheck experience was less than professionally done and we ended up hanging and picking up our own coats. I was also not thrilled with the lighting in the restaurant. Half of our table was in the dark, the other half had piercing overhead ceiling lights shining down on us. Overall, I think this is a great restaurant - I'm happy to recommend it and I think the issues are compeltely solvable.
Very surprised...went for New Years 3-course early meal. While most of the food was delicious (app and dessert were great!) the main courses lacked flavor (the duck was not cooked to medium as requested and the snapper was dry and lackluster). The service was very far from being a Michelin star level - I would not recommend for the cost/service. Had to wait over 25 minutes between first and second course while seeing others served - something was wrong in the back. Have eaten at many MS places and have never had a poor or even moderate experience.
The whole dining experience was great. The food was delicious! My only complaint would be the cost for coffee and drinks overall. It is definitely my go to place for seafood and I have tried a lot of them, and they will not disappoint. The halibut melts in your mouth and everything we ate was so well prepared. I will recommend it to my friends, family, and anyone who wants an outstanding seafood meal served with great service! Our waiter was outstanding and the staff overall was professional and very nice.
It’s a great place for couples night out. The staffs are very friendly and attentive.
Amazing service. Amazing food. Such a pleasure
I insertions immersive experience. Great knowledgeable staff and wonderful complex flavors.
Everything was perfectly delicious, and a feast for the eyes, as well as one’s palate! While not inexpensive, well w
Food was very good but more of a lunch experience rather than an elegant dinner probably due to the Christmas menu. The salad bar and raw bar were great but the dessert bar was so bad we thought we were at Western Sizzlin’. The atmosphere wasn’t quite as elegant as depicted in the photos.
We went for Christmas Day dinner- a prix fix meal offering buffet style starters, choice of entree and choice of dessert. At $80/person the main entree options were slim- salmon, rockfish, rib eye steak, duck breast and one other item I can’t remember. No one at my table was impressed by their meal. The rib eye was actually cut from a prime rib roast which meant getting your steak made to preferred temperature was not achieved. Also a rib eye should have a nice seat all around which was not possible
We had Christmas dinner at The Siren. It was an all-inclusive dinner for $80. It included a vegetable and small raw/seafood bar, your choice of one of about 5-6 entrees, and a dessert bar. If the food was cooked well and the server was more attentive, I would have felt that this price was acceptable. However, 3 out of 3 of our rib eye steaks were overcooked to the point of being brown all the way through (when ordered to be medium or medium-rare). When the server asked how the steak was and we said/showed her that they were overcooked, she said she wanted to make sure it wasn't too rare for our liking but she did nothing to correct this. Since she only came back to the table about 20 minutes after the food was served, it would have been difficult for her to correct it anyway. The dessert bar was abundant and the brussel sprouts on the salad bar were some of the best I ever tasted.
$15 for valet parking
PROS: quiet corner table, vegetable bar, dessert bar, ambiance
CONS: pricey for the quality of the entrees, steaks very overcooked, server was very scarce - could not correct overcooked food
