Friendly staff. Food was good .
We have been twice in the last week, and we would like to go again this weekend!
My family was visiting from out of town, and I wanted to take them some place new. We all loved it! This was the first place to ever take my temperature during COVID (at least in NC). Service was a little slow, and it took awhile for the food to come out, but it was with the wait!
Delicious dinner- we will be back for more drinks!
Great service! The food was pricey but very good!
Very nice place. A little pricey, but the the quality and level of food was well worth it. The waiter that we had went above and beyond with service and explaining everything. Can not wait to go back.
We loved the outdoor dining experience as a part of Winston-Salem’s downtown ‘Streatery’ initiative during COVID. The service was excellent and the menu had something for everyone in the party. Be sure to take in one of the specialty cocktails!
great atmosphere. creative chef with awesome dishes. highly recommend the brussel sprout tacos and moravian mule
Good food, great drinks, top notch service. Our server was phenomenal with knowledge of food and drink. Perfect price point, and great outdoor dining.
Even with a limited menu, the food was outstanding. Steak done perfectly, shrimp and grits not too spicy. Our server, Chris, was attentive but not overbearing. We had a wonderful and will be back again most definitely!
We were the only ones there on a Sunday morning. We sat outside. They were still making the menu when we got there at opening; it looked to be the exact same as any Sunday menu I found online, so not sure what that was about. The service was slow as expected, but not excruciatingly so. We order two of the done up bloody marrys, a coffee with cream, the savory grits, and the French toast - all devine. Came out to ~$70. It's a cool place although a tad expensive. We'd go back for a fancy date night or special occasion.
Love the food! Nice atmosphere
It was Father’s Day brunch, and every aspect was great. We had eaten there previously, and it was awesome again!!
The food was great, but I paid $32 for a steak meal that came on plastic plates and had to use plastic silverware. I am aware of phase 2 roll outs that include dining in but a heads up would have been nice on the website. Also asking guest to have their temperature taken and wear a mask to the bathroom upon arrival was just overwhelming if not made aware beforehand.
They did a great job, given the restrictions. And the food was really good! The steak tips with mushrooms and onions were our fave, and the brussels sprouts were the best we've ever had!
Messed up drink and dinner orders. Slow to bring drinks to the table.
Try waiting 2 hours for your dinner when the restaurant isn’t full at all. Never seen anything like it. We walked out before our food came because 2 hours is beyond exhausting.
Very comfortable seating with really interesting tables! Service was good but the best thing about this restaurant is the food! Just really good food ! Chef 👨🍳 is from DC area and is really good with tasty meals! Try it you will like it
Service was slow. Food was pretty good. Drinks were the best part. Our server was friendly. I appreciated that the chef came out to talk to me about allergen options and what he could do for me. Would go back.
Good food and service but the food could have been warmer.
The restaurant was not crowded but the food took an extremely long time to come out. There was also an awful smell in the restaurant. The soup we ordered was inedible but the rest of the food was good
Good food, although when we booked the reservation we had no indication that the menu would be limited for Valentine’s Day. Yet even with that, choices were adequate. Bar service is slow- on 3 occasions now- but seems more disorganized than excessively busy. Overall good vibe. Will likely try again.
First time there. Lovely restaurant. Food was delicious. At first the music, although really good dining music was really loud. I asked one of the staff to turn it down a notch and they were most accomodating. Definitely will go back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Valentine's Day dinner at Sir Winston. The waiter was great. Food was amazing. The only downside to the night was they didn't offer their regular menu to go with the Valentine's day specials. We have been craving their NY strips, pork ribs and shrimp and grits all week. We are normally out of town for Valentine's so wasn't aware that there would be a change in menu and from see a few other teams get up and leave after seeing the menu I was expect their was others that wanted items off the normal menu
Very overpriced for what was served. Poor service : seemed to not care.
The food was excellent. They need to work on the service, but I would go back.
Valentine’s Day date. The menu was $150 per couple which was a shock, but we were able to purchase a la carte to cut costs down. It might be less costly during normal times. We were first seated in a dark area, and got some push back when we wanted to move to a lighter area, even though not all the tables were still not full, even when we left. Eventually, the manager agreed to move us. Our server was attentive.
While the food was decent, I feel as though it was overpriced compared to several other surrounding restaurants, with same great food if not better. I booked the reservation through OpenTable. I wasn't notified that they would be having a select menu nor that we couldn't get loft seating. I also advised that it was my husbands birthday on OpenTable and it was never addressed.
Very good dinner, loved the new restaurant, beautiful.
Fun place. We will go again. Appetizers were different and good.
Aha Tuna serving was possibly small, but I eat a lot...
Great service. Good beer and wine menu. Didn’t stay for desserts, but they looked good.
Very nice downtown restaurant. The atmosphere is very good. Great bar area. Good food, great service.
Farm to table with creative cooking ! Nice choices. Wine choices are very good also . Excellent value
The food was very good, but I was surprised that a bar would be out of sweet vermouth, and I was shocked that a wine bar would be out of 2 of the pinot noir selections from the wine list. I hope that they can improve on these service issues.
We visited the bar and had dinner on a Sun night and business was slow. The staff was very personable and attentive, service was great, and food and drinks were fabulous. Will definitely visit this establishment again!
Staffing was short (Christmas day) we knew because our waiter told us. :( He also told us that he was the bartender, and that’s why he had to go back and ask about everything we asked. Everyone that was working was hustling like crazy, but it just took away a bit from the enjoyment feeling like we were an imposition.
This was a very good resturant for our family on Christmas Eve after church! The food and the service was exceptional!
The food quality was good, but overpriced - like much of Winston-Salem. Great location and ambiance. Service was lacking for the price.
Enjoyed the food and experience was good also. We will go again.
Absolutely wonderful food and service. Brian provides excellent recommendations along with great service. We highly recommend Sir Winston’s Wine Loft and Restaurant!!!
Met my parents here for dinner and we enjoyed a delicious, three course meal with cocktails and wine. The sausage pimento dip appetizer is served with crackers and flatbread and the whole dish is delicious. My Aviation gin cocktail was perfectly crafted. Our server, AJ, was attentive, humorous and timely. We ordered the filet, scallops and cornish hen as entrees. The mashed potatoes were a little too smooth but we all have our preferences when it comes to potatoes. Steak was done perfectly, cornish hen was seasoned well, both were served in portions that were aligned with their value. But the standout dish was the scallops with risotto. Wow. Plump, huge scallops perfectly cooked with a creamy beet risotto. After entrees, we ordered the NY cheesecake and pecan pie. Cheesecake was exactly what you want: not too dense, not too fluffy. Pecan pie pairs well with decaf. The wine list is extensive and I was happy to see a decent selection of Bordeaux! The layout and atmosphere is great because you can go to Sir Winston for pretty much any occasion: dinner with the parents, business meeting, date night, friends happy hour. Recommend.
Thank you for the wonderful review! We greatly appreciate it! Thanks for sharing and hope to see you again soon!
