It was great service from the host to the waitress. The service was at the perfect pace and the food came out quickly and hot. It is a great place to meet with friends/family and everything is shareable. The Garlic Noodles were the top for everyone.

This is neither traditional dim sum nor non-traditional but tasty good. The fried rice was barely cooked and the other dim sum didn't come with dipping sauces. Not to mention all this was overpriced for the quality and taste.

I've always loved Sino. It was a part of my "stomping grounds" when I was in my early 20s. However, sitting through dinner with my husband this past weekend, I couldn't help but notice how they've headed downhill. I'll begin by saying that our server was awesome. I forget her name, but she was excellent and sweet and I have no complaints of the service.
The hostess who sat us, with the other hand, looked like, for lack of better description, a stripper. Young Asian girl, long black hair, was wearing a short, skimpy red dress that BARELY covered her butt and her breasts were spilling out of her top. I thought this was a fine dining restaurant? Maybe not anymore.
I love the food, but would not recommend the seafood risotto. It has no flavor And is misleading. It was plain sticky rice with 4 grilled shrimp on top- that's it. That is my only food complaint.
In terms of decor, the place just seems more run down than I remember it. The furniture is scuffed, red tape on the ground is a tacky way to indicate 'steps' and the curtains were bundled together by using black dining napkins. Even though my complaints are minor, I think that might have been my last attempt at a night out at Sino.

We reserved for eight but two were delayed in San Diego so we came as 6. This was a major problem for them. They tried to seat us at a table for 4 which was too small. We asked for a bigger one. The girl kept showing us other 4 people tables until I finally said “ you keep trying to put six people where they can’t fit. If you won’t get a bigger table just tell us”.
Next it was “well maybe I can talk to the manager”. So after waiting a wile they came back and said no we can’t give you another table because we have a party of 12 coming in” .
That didn’t even make sense. We were six. The place was 2/3 empty on a Thursday and our table for eight was sitting there empty. They couldn’t push two of their empty 4 tables together. They seemed to not realize that the 8 person table (all set up and waiting, was going empty and they were babbling away about how they couldn’t seat us at the 12 person table because we were only six. Huh? This was a bizarre experience. We walked out and went to the seafood place across the street which was excellent. It wasn’t a misunderstanding because they knew we were the reservation.

Never got a chance to try the food. Ambiance was dark and noisy. Not going back.

Valentine’s Day dinner is OK. Single rose for the lady’s was nice treat, but service was slow and the brown rice was so dry.

The service was consistently poor and was getting worst. Food came out randomly from the kitchen. Rice and Noodle dishes came out first, which should normally the last course in Chinese meals. It was impossible to get any services or waved down any wait staff. They don't make eye contacts. The only good thing is that if you are willing to settle for basic dim sum (not overly concerned of quality), it is a place that is easy to get reservation and no line in general.

Sino had an emergency so they were closed. No phone call, email, text message to let us know. We were quite shocked and annoyed when we arrived and had to hurry to make other plans during a dinner rush on a Friday night.

Came here on a Sunday evening and there was pretty loud club type music playing throughout the restaurant. The host and our server were very friendly, the latter checked on us often. The food was very mediocre, especially the $35 Sea Bass, which had very little flavor. I enjoyed the Kumquat Chicken, which was well cooked.

The quality and general upkeep of the restaurant has deteriorated a great deal in the past few years! We were a group of six and one of the women in our group happened to put her hand under the table to pull herself forward-there was food stuck under the table that got on her hands. The waiter cleaned that up but our experience with the un-clean setting didn't end here. The bathrooms had not been tidied up and were filthy with tampon applicators on the bathroom floor and this was at 7.30 pm, so a long time before the restaurant closes.
The tea pots that green tea was served in were missing the lid knobs too. So, even though the food that day was good, I will not be going to this restaurant or recommending it to anyone because it is now suffering from sloppy maintenance:(

Such a fun place to go with a group. So many choices of entrees, that dining with a large group is a great way to try everything !! Food is probably the best I've ever had. Fire Cracker Chicken and Crab Fried rice are a MUST have!

What happened to the cocktail menu? There were only a couple drinks now and the creative menus from before are gone. The food menu also seems to be more limited. The food was still excellent (awesome salt and pepper crab!), but it seems there have been some serious cutbacks since we were there last. And the place is still so noisy that you have to yell to hear each other.

We usually really like Sino's - but we are usually there during the summer where we can sit outside away from the pointless loud music. I call it 'pointless' because there isn't ever any dancing just a lot of people struggling to have a conversation over the loud music. Lots of energy which is good. On NYE our server was a bit of a challenge. She wasn't aware of the specials; instead of bringing back answers to questions she didn't know she just didn't come back. The $20 corkage fee is extreme considering we had one bottle of wine and ordered plenty of drinks to off set the charge. We felt like we were dealing with desperation to make a buck; when the buck is clearly being made. Might be more creative to have a drink minimum on top of a less significant 'corkage fee'. And when training new wait staff, be sure to have someone on hand with them to get the questions answered. The food was awesome as usual, it was delivered in a timely fashion and the group was happy with the food overall. I would not recommend for a birthday party or anything as it's too loud in there and we've now tried twice. I hope this review will help make some positive changes in the place that we really like. Chinese fusion in vibrant lounge seating. Prefer a quieter table? Just ask to be seated in the back main dining area. They offer outdoor seating, loud lounge seats, less noisy section, and dining between for those that like more music flowing through conversation. Kid friendly! I’ve seen folks part strollers near the ramps.

Valerie waited on us and was sweet, accommodating, and friendly. I recommend ordering the Emperor’s fried rice (chicken, shrimp, bits of bbq pork, edamame, green onion), Kung Pao fried chicken lollipops, lobster shrimp potstickers, Drunken seabass with summer squash (light soy sauce based), calamari and crunchy soft shell crab apps with jalapeño vinaigrette. So good!

Great for a night out with friends, family, a date, etc. Be sure to indicate which area you’d like to sit in.

When we arrived at the restaurant, they told us that they did not have a table reserved for us and seated us in the lounge. Later when we showed our OpenTable reservation, they relented an hour later and setup a table but by then my party was already done with appetizers and was well into the main course so we decided to stay in the lounge.

It would have been good if the restaurant had a table ready for us when we arrived.

My boyfriend and I loved this place. They had a table for us, but we wanted a booth, so to the bar we went to wait, so glad we did. The lounge area was great. Nice to have a drink and relax on the couches and talk to other people who were drinking or waiting for their table. We got seated next to a big party so it was loud, but since we sat next to each other in the booth, we could still talk. The food was excellent. We went for the dim sum and it was great. Appetizers were also delicious. I had a great time here and would definitely go back!

They increased price for dim sum by 50% or more. Some of the items were even doubled the price. It is not worth going to Sino anymore.

i like the service and the ambience. the halibut was good. im just not a fan of sweet meats like the chicken popsicle. i was not ready for that. overall it was a good dining experience
