Really good food, especially the Paneer and the seafood curry.
Service was at times a little surly, although not by all of the of the hospitality staff. We enjoyed the experience.
Imaginative food. Fish and meat precisely cooked.
We had the sampling menu which was great. Our 2nd time at Sindhu
Hoping for a different kind of Indian meal with accent on flavours and fine cuisine.
What we was served was standard Indian fare in quantity and taste.
Food was really good and setting on Thames is great.
Great food, service friendly but needs some polish. Tables need a tablecloth!
Good food. Very noisy. Service too quick. No relaxing atmosphere.
Have visited 3 years ago and will not return again.
I did not like the food at all
Very good service, would defiantly go again! Was great for a first date too
Food is a amazing, really enjoyable
Great flavours great choices and good surroundings
We had a set lunch menu and it was fantastic exceeded expectations. The Room in the Hotel is looking a little tired but the views across the weir are lovely.
Excellent meal and service in a really nice location
We had a lovely table with view on the river and the ambiance was really peaceful .
Very attentive staff and lovely food.
Nicely presented, nice space in the service and very tasted. Fab cocktails and portions were perfect. Enter than I remembered actually.
Would highly recommended it and will go back again.
Truly excellent food but slightly chilly with all the windows open. Quite understand that the staff have only recently stopped using masks so ventilation is important but this will become an increasing issue as the winter starts in earnest.
Helpful staff but very small portions of chutney
We had the 5 course tasting menu with paired wines. All food and wines were excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. All in all an thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Amazing food in a great place, anyone going won’t be disappointed
A fantastic meal yet again. From the moment you enter you are looked after by the friendly staff.
The food was outstanding both in taste and presentation.
A great location and fantastic food. The staff are very attentive without seeming in the way - a difficult balance!
We had a virgin experience 3 course lunch voucher, lots of choice and the food was outstanding! Would definitely recommend
Very nice 3course lunch we had with excellent service.
Only thing was that the air con was on and we got quite cold there.
Other than that it was all good.
I’ve been to Sindhu’s several times before but this has been the worse experience I’ve had with their service. There was very poor service and some urgency on us being rushed out. No attention or care given to our table. The food was rushed out and we had a 1 course meal in 40min. The waiters seemed keen and in a rush to get us out. Extremely disappointed and won’t be going back.
The Food was great and the service was very good. The only criticism was the meals came out very quickly one course after the other we would have preferred a bit of a gap between the Starters and Main Courses
The reviews I read, and the photos of the food, led me to expect a top class Indian meal in beautiful surroundings, but I felt that Sindhu fell short in a number of areas. The room was crowded and very noisy. The starters (chicken and prawn) were excellent if perhaps a bit large. The lamb curry was very disappointing, comprising chewy meat and a salty sauce. The naan was good, the dhal was a bit watery and the popadoms were poor. Coffee was fine. Service was pretty good. Sindhu was no better than the average high street Indian in my opinion.
We had the set menu with pairing wines and it was incredible, the food was lovely and the wines were perfect. Would highly recommend.
The menu we wanted was not usually available on Saturday nights but they were happy to oblige us. The food was delicious.
Amazing food and wine the service was outstanding we will definitely be back.
Stunning location and flavours of a highest quality, it was so memorable for a special occasion
Great food and friendly service. Great view of the water
Fantastic lunch, food is totally amazing. Best Indian spiced food I have ever tasted. Can’t wait to go again. Impressed with great service .
Absolutely excellent quality and service. You have not had an Indian meal until you have eaten here, worth every penny. Cannot wait to return
The tasting menu was really interesting and so tasty with all the Indian spices! Good value for a special occasion.
Very disappointed. Felt rushed when we arrived. Popadums dry and tasteless with not very interest dips. Waiters not really interested in recommending dishes to suit our preferred flavours. It would have been good to try taster menu but it was too expensive even though it was my 70 th Birthday treat. There was nothing subtle in the lamb curry - it was hot and sour when we asked for less heat and more spicy flavour. The meat was lovely and plenty of it. The rice was good. Bread basket was good but too much. Peshwari was nice. Even the cake they bought with a candle was dry. Our local takeaway serves better food. I would recommend descriptions of the dishes on the menu which is quite limited. This would have helped to choose something more subtle which is what I thought Indian food is all about.
Yet another delicious meal at one of my favourite restaurants. The sea bream was cooked perfectly and the baklava cheesecake was to die for!!
Very noisy, food choice very limited, very oily and low quality
High service charge not reflected in the service quality
Very over priced for the overall experience
My wife and I chose the tasting menu and the food was sublime, richly spiced but without fiery heat. Each dish has several components which complement each other perfectly and are presented beautifully.
The best Indian food we've ever eaten. We've been to Sindhu a few times before but still every time we go we're blown away by the flavours of the dishes that they serve. We went for my wife's birthday this time. The service was great and they gave my wife a little birthday treat at the end to celebrate which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend.
Food was exceptional. Wonderful flavours. Dahl a little salty for my taste. Dessert portion size was disappointing (tiny scoop of kulfi). Service has deteriorated since last time, plates passed across the table to guests and the petit fours arrived after the coffee.
Food wasn’t that great for the price!
Also had a hair in one of the starters
Birthday meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good venue, good food and good service.
Amazing food i would call this restaurant being a chef myself as fine indain cuisine the best i have ever had no dish competed with flavour and no grease or ghee on top
Just amazing flavours in fact the best indian i have ever eaten WELL DONE
