   Went for dinner with friends and had a pleasant experience. The octopus salad and tuna carpaccio were fresh and outstanding as well as the signature “alcapurrias” with a beautiful presentation. The cod served with rice and the steak with risotto made with seasonal products were cooked to perfection. We finished our dinner with a delicious dessert. The chef greeted us as well as the owner who is very hospitable and knowledgeable about their wine list. Cocktails wow, and the wine selection is great. Our server was very efficient making sure that everything arrived to the table as requested. The place itself is very welcoming and charming, you dont feel rushed at any time. Overall, a great local restaurant, very well priced, excellent food and spirits, great overall experience, definitely a place to visit!

   I have a moderate level of cullinary experience and frequently explore Puerto Rico's gastronomy. If you are well read or well traveled, you will know that Puerto Rico has a very vibrant and competitive scene with some of the world's best chefs. This restaurant is a gem. In fact, I have no doubt that Simposio is one of the best restaurants on the island. The service was impeccable. Friendly staff frequently made the rounds without being intrusive. All of them knew the menu by heart and could explain any individual items as well as give their recommendations when prompted. The lighting was comfortable, illuminating but still cozy and intimate. The music was present and gave the space life, without hampering our ability to talk casually. The table was sturdy and the chairs comfortable. The decor was perfect for the vibes the restaurant is going for: Casual and cozy, but unapologetically gourmet. The food... exceptional. Every dish, every bite was a new and profound experience. One item that really stood out to me was the fried pig ears in a soy, sugar, chile and mint sauce, having been previously boiled in aromatics. I had assumed the cartilege or the fat would be chewy, but no. The cartilege had become crispy and delicious, the meat tender, but the real shock was the fat. Somehow in the cooking process the fat had partially rendered, giving it a very unique and addictive creamy, smooth texture. It was like it oozed umami with each bite. The dessert was just as masterfully prepared. An iteration on corn bread that boggled my mind. Think of this: a crispy outer layer, lightly caramelized containing a creamy, sweet and salty interior. Buttery doesn't even begin to describe it. This corn bread is placed over a sweet, tequila sauce. Atop the corn bread, a home made scoop of ice cream made of dulce de leche in the Mexican style, set at an ideal temperature for your taste buds to taste every nuance. The chef is a master, no doubt. Science and artistry are in full display.

   We had a great experience! The food is creative and delicious. The portions are generous. The staff pleasant and efficient. The owner knows his wines and was present to welcome us…We will be back!

   Every plate was flavorful and colorful. We had the Smoked Salmon Galette, Mushroom Strata, Burrata Salad and Huevos Rotos; everything was delicious. The combination of flavors and textures was divine. The Mimosas were the best pairing for our food. Service was great.

   Excellent menu for Valentines. Exquisite langoustines and filet mignon. Always with a local touch. Friendly atmosphere and service. Great wines.

    Simposio always delivers! This time we tried one of the weekly specials: fish filet in "gandules" sauce and "guineito". Delicious. The cheese balls with local jam were a good way to start—great wines and cocktails in a casual ambiance.
