Simply Fondue - Dallas Ratings and Reviews
We went to simply fondue to celebrate our youngest daughter’s 18th birthday and the only request we had was an interactive server and they outdid themselves! They sat us with Davita and she made our experience magical! I can’t recommend Davita enough’ she was so vibrant it made the entire dining experience exceptional!!!
Cluster! Had reservations for 9:15, didn’t get seated till 10:15. Bar is right next to the door, so you can’t comfortably sit/stand for a drink while you wait as you dodging staff. What would have been nice is either be seated on time, or at the very least have been offered a drink while we wait. The restaurant isn’t well ventilated for the type of restaurant. There was a lot of smoke from the fondue that was thick enough to burn your eyes. Our waiter was great and enthusiastic.
Very disappointing experience. The Valentines price gouging, that was not advertised or communicated prior to arrival, was a big surprise as we had invited several people to join us. The portions were small and one of the burners did not heat well. We won't be back.
Everything was amazing! We love fondue and have been fans of The melting pot for quite some time, but this was our first time visiting Simply Fondue. The food was amazing and the flavors of the proteins were awesome. I didn't even have to use a dipping sauce for most of them. The service was outstanding. My phone was almost dead and the manager offered to charge it in the office while we ate and saved us because we were there from out of town and needed GPS to get home. Our server was awesome and super sweet. She even offered us complimentary champagne since we were celebrating Valentine's day, but we don't drink. It was a very kind gesture though.
Extremely disappointed with GroupOn/Simply Foundue on its advertisement.
The offer states dinner for four as being from $100 to $60. When I was going to pay, I got the surprise of $260 bill (not including any drink). Then comes the trick: the groupon offer was actually a voucher of $100 that would cost$60, ie, $40 off the total price. So instead of $260 the total price was $220. I would never pay more than $20 per person based on the quality and amount of food... The way the group on was written was for a fishing purpose.
I had never been to anything like this. I have heard of it. This was one of my best dining experiences ever. Our server was Johnny. He was very proficient with his service. He walked us through the entire process not once making us feel awkward for not knowing. His attitude and attentiveness are something all servers should strive for. When I return I will be sure to ask for his service.
I always enjoy my visit to Simply Fondue. But my most recent visit was EXCEPTIONAL. My best friend and I came in for dinner. We had the four course and it was AMAZING! But the best part of our visit was our server. Ethan was great! He was very funny, engaging and attentive. I will DEFINITELY ask for him next time I visit.
Had dinner this past Saturday for the first time. The experience, & food was great but our server Ethn was not so great. I felt that the explanations and details of our service was always rushed. Ethn seemed very distracted and not as welcoming as I'd like in a server especially when I'm visiting an establishment for the first time. We had to wait over 30 minutes before getting a glass of water. (He apologized over 4 times) Then we ordered a bottle of wine (had to wait another 30 minutes before getting it. It arrived after our food was on the table) Although, my food was good, I always remember how good/bad the service was before I decide to return.
We found this restaurant through a groupon and after reading reviews we thought we would give it try. We had never been to a fondue place and found it nice and relaxing and the food was excellent. The portions were huge I believe we could of shared. Our waiter seem to take extra time with us to be sure we knew what we were doing.
I don't think we could of made a better choice.
Simply Fondue is about the experience. The food was good, of course, we cooked it! Our server Ethan was a lot of fun. The price point is high, but am guessing this is because turning a table is difficult. My only recommendation is to make someone responsible for refilling tea, etc. beverages. We had to flag down someone each time. My 16 year old loves this place, the experience is fun.
This is our go-to spot for date night. My husband and I love that we can share and still somewhat order different things and we love trying the different cooking styles. The service is always impeccable and I think we try a new drink on the cocktail menu every time and have loved them all so far!
Visited from Arkansas. Our reservation was at 8:30, didn’t get seated til 9 (not the restaurants fault), but they made it up to us with free dessert 😍😍. It wasn’t necessary by any means, but appreciated.
We had a blast celebrating my daughters bday. All 3 girls had never been to fondue. And it’s really something if 3 11-year olds said the fondue dinner was their favorite part of our weekend trip, even over indoor sky diving!
Staff was very nice and accommodating, the area was very upscale and neat. The restaurant was cozy and clean. Although they closed at 10:00, we didn’t leave til 11:40 and we never felt rushed. We will definitely visit again when we are back in the area! Thanks for an amazing experience!
Ethan was a great server who was attentive to our special dietary needs (pescatarian, dairy sensitive). Loved the option of using a grill instead of cooking in oil or broth. The 3 course meal (with salad) is a lot of food but the best way to experience all the options.
Perfect for special occasions, very unique dining experience unlike any other restaurant I have dined at before. The experience is much longer than any other establishment, not because of poor service, but rather it is a full four course meal. It takes time but is a great setting for conversation. The cheese fondue and entree selections were very good, however, the dessert was the star of the show!!!!! I would recommend Simply Fondue just based on the chocolate alone. It was a great experience, friendly staff and management, Thanks for making my wife's birthday get-a-way perfect!!!
Food was good - bough they were out of mint for a Mint Julip and were also out of scallops. The wife and I both got the 4 course meal - cheddar appetizer, wedge and Caesar salads, beef, pork, and coconut shrimps, plus s’mores dessert. Everything tasted great! Quiet place, good ambiance. Felt private. Will definitely be back.
We love this place, have been back several times. The food was just slightly less high quality than in the past. It was still great, but we noticed, just things like the coconut shrimp fell apart. The atmosphere and service is great, and we will go back. Hopefully this was a one time thing with the food dropping down.
Wanted to experience a unique dining concept for our Family of 4 --Expect to spend a long evening (we were there 3 hrs on a Wednesday) -in retrospect, probably not a good idea for children. very cramped seating at a booth (especially if one is heavyset) - very little elbow room and had to reach over /through others personal space to reach foods. Cheese & chocolates were prepared by our server at our table and were awesome (could choose only 1 per table so everyone had to agree on on the flavor served). However, not enough breads/veggies/ fruits were served for 4 people. Huge downside for us: we had to cook our own meats. We chose 3 meat options (per 3 course meal option), it was brought out marinated/seasoned but we had to cook it (grill or deep fry) ourselves. With 4 people sharing a small fondue cooking pot, you can imagine how long it took to cook all of our food. Frying in a confined space meant, popping oil splatters/burns and we smelled like a fish fry house when we left. At long last, chocolate was prepared (again only 1 pot per table - I guess we could a have chosen a 2nd flavor to be prepared after that one was completed from the a la carte menu) . The chocolate was very good, just not enough fruit served, had to wait for more to be brought to the table. By the time chocolates were ready, the kids were bored with the experience after being there so long, that we, as parents, felt rushed and unable to enjoy the chocolate.
Price - expensive - bill was about $100 after using our groupon coupon.
Go again - definitely not with kids and only for dessert.
It was our first time here. Would have rated it a 5 star but, had reservations for 5:00 pm, once we arrived they couldn't find it, seems the seated someone else in my spot, how that happened is beyond me. Once we got seated, they told me they did not have my choice of beverage (ran out of it).
My fiance' and I had a wonderful time together here. Our waitress 'Jessica" was absolutely fantastic, she brought us each a glass of champagne (on the house)!!!
The food was magnificent, although it got noisy, we just talked a little louder. We both had the Fondue Classic, which was amazingly delicious.
Will recommend it to anyone that wants something different from the traditional order your food and be served.
Thank you for a great experience........
