Poor food. We will not return
Sam took care of us, and my two children, 16 and 9. He treated them with as much respect as us; took on their personalities and treated them that way. It was their father’s birthday and we were there for awhile yet were never rushed from our window table! Food was over the top!!!
Vince was super. Food excellent as always. My very favorite restaurant for view, service and place to sit and enjoy and never feeling hurried. Love love this place. And the valet service is great as well as the hostess.
Been coming for Sunday Brunch for many years. By far, the best value-for-money bargain in town. Lots of choices, all great, from the usual items to shrimp and crab legs. Very good service though the hostesses were less than qualified. Even with Open Table reservations a 25 minute wait is unreasonable. Worse so being members of Landry's Select Club. Why do restaurants often put the youngest and most inexperienced people at the front, the first (and last) customer contact is very important and in this case, meant that they hadn't handled the walk-ins against reservations well. Watched several other couples also have to wait.
We went to Simms Steakhouse for brunch for my son’s birthday. It was quiet and the staff was very attentive. The food was amazing. We will be returning!!
We dine here frequently and upon arrival we were treated horribly by the hostess. She told me that they had no tables available. I said that’s funny I checked Open table before I left and there was room to make a reservation every 15 minutes. She said sorry and sat us in the bar. I approached the manager who told me even if we made a reservation they would seat us in the bar. All the times I’ve been there I’ve never been seated there. I proceeded to make an online reservation and when we were seated in the dining area noticed several available seats. I will not be Coming back after this experience. I do not like Being treated as if I am an idiot (manager telling me they seat people in the bar when making reservations) and the rude hostess telling us there were no open seats.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is excellent, the steaks are some of the best I've ever had and the view is fantastic. I have always had excellent service and the restaurant itself is a very pleasing environment.
We were a party of four. Everyone but me ordered either beef or chicken. I foolishly ordered Chilean Sea Bass. It was not good. It had a fishy and oily taste to it. I am from South Florida and have had sea bass several times, which all were excellent. The portion was small and I still did not finish my entree. For the prices that Simm's charges, their food should be excellent. I will say that my husband loved his Ribeye steak and another guest really enjoyed the lamb. Also, the Men's restroom was out of order. That is unacceptable. I'm sorry to say that I would not return, nor would I recommend Simm's Steakhouse to anyone. I will also not order seafood in Colorado again. That's on me.
Our steaks were incredible and the wine list was good. The "smoked mac'n'cheese" as a side was nothing special. Our server was attentive and made good recommendations.
We used to love dining here. But on Easter Sunday our experience was extremely unsatisfactory.
We arrived at 1:35 pm. Our reservation was for 1:45 pm.
The food was over done and not replaced as it ran out for at least 15 minutes at a time. We were concerned about exactly that, due to our later reservation time-frame, but were assured when making our reservation that the food would not run out and would be fresh and continuously replenished.
We were sat directly in front of the bathroom and stairs leading to the bathroom. As we were led to our table, we passed a wonderful table for two, against the window which faced the East view. We were not given that table and for the duration of our visit , no one was ever seated there at that table.
We did not feel valued as a customer and this experience de-specialized this special occasion.
Our Landry's membership apparently meant absolutely nothing.
Disappointment does not begin to describe this unfortunate experience.
It is highly unlikely we shall ever return. We will be sharing this experience with our friends and family.
For the price, this experience was utterly not worth it.
We go for the Sunday Brunch - the staff is nice, the food is good. Holidays are a little pricey.
Our waiter, Andy was awesome!! This experience was the best we have had at Simms in quite some time!
So, my husband has been coming to Simms for decades, and I've been coming for over a decade ... and we were disappointed with our anniversary dinner. The food was just swimming in too much grease - sorry, no other way to describe it. Neither of us could finish our dinner. We had it wrapped and I'll try to salvage it in the re-heating.
We decided that we'll stick with sitting in the bar area .... the food there is always good and we like the ambiance. Last night was just not worth what we spent, and for a special occasion, too. Now that we're retired, we need to watch our budget a bot more, so happy hour it is! That has always been great.
Our server and food was excellent
Eggs were excellent
The food was very good and the service was amazing.
The brunch buffet was perfect for my family and was a great way to start my wife’s birthday. There was incredible variety with something for everyone’s taste. Restaurant staff was very friendly and attentive. We have been to brunch a few times and have not been disappointed. The next visit needs to be date night with my wife and a view of the city lights.
While our NY strip tasted delicious, the hummus presented like a pasty cake ball rather than flavorful and creamy. And, the homemade potato chips? Seems like a good idea, until they are cold, limp, and unseasoned. Meh. However, kudos to Heather our server for being attentive and patient, knowledgeable and accommodating. As for the view? Immeasurable.
First time there (New to the area). Made for a great Anniversary celebration. We will be back, before another year is up! Highly recommended.
I was very disappointed with the food. I had prime rib that appeared to be old and pan fried to reheat. I was hungry and eat most of the meal that I should have refused . Antonio made it right
sending me home with a cut of prime rib that was excellent.
Love the bread.....best in the world. Calamari was good, salads average, prime rib excellent but sea bass was not remarkable. Still a great dinner and place to dine with a view of Denver.
As usual, Simms is our favorite steakhouse in the Denver area. We have yet to have a bad experience and continue to visit over the years due to their consistent quality service and food. This visit was no exception - everything was great. We will continue to visit. And the view from the restaurant is great as well.
Pricey as ever but well worth it as ever! My favorite place for date night with my wife. And the view is the best in town.
Food tasted great. Loved the prime rib. I have to say though, I am getting suspicious. We come here pretty often, and love the place, but this was the second time I have gotten sick shortly after eating at Simms. The first time was after brunch several months ago, and then after a prime rib dinner two days ago. Bottom line is that I am a bit leery. I have a pretty strong stomach tolerance (Mexican food, Pizza, etc.) and I wouldn't expect too have prime rib or a nice brunch create a problem for me.
As always Great Food Great Staff Service
We went for my friends birthday. The food was wonderful and that sat us by the window as requested.
Excellent service & great food. Morgan was superb server.
Great place for date night. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Food was Ok, but prices too high for the quality.
Been going to this restaurant since 1976, and Landry's ownership has taken the experience down a notch.
This place never disappoints. The entire meal was delicious. And the Staff is excellent.
Our filet was the best I've had in a long time. The French onion soup was amazing. The chocolate cake we had for dessert was incredible! And of course the view is unmatched in the Denver area.
Steak was amazing, filet center cut. Creamed spinage, and brussel sprouts were wonderful.
Salmon pretty average, don't spend the money..
The service was ok, our waitress wasn't very friendly, a little snotty, but over all, I will go back!!
Vince was such a wonderful server. He made my birthday dinner so pleasant. I Will definitely be back!! Thank you!
The omelets were good, but the eggs benedict were cold and the prime rib was was so tough it was not edible.
We love coming here for dinner but really enjoy treating ourselves to the magnificent brunch on occasion. This was the purpose of our visit this last time around. The service was great until it started getting crowded. Then the waiters were busy elsewhere and we weren't getting waited on as quickly as when we first arrived. It took a while for me to get a coffee refill. Then I had to ask for the check when someone was passing by (we had plans afterward and were on a schedule). The food is always delicious and filling at Simm's. The staff is very friendly. I'll go back. I'll just make sure I can relax and enjoy myself in case it gets busy, rather than feeling rushed.
We thought the food was average, and quite over priced.
Excellent beef. Pricey, but great spot for the view and dining out for a special occasion. Lobster bisque could have been hotter, but delicious flavor. Prime rib was cooked exactly as ordered.
Food was average. The price for the steak and pork job was $45 per plate during Restaurant week. We will not be dinning here again.
Great food, a bit pretentious, but otherwise a good time. Seating is rather close, we could hear the couple next to us, weird...
It was a bummer to wait 20 minutes for a table when we made a reservation, but when we got the table, it was a very nice booth so that made up for it. Our server was very nice, I just think her section was too big. I know it was a buffet-style brunch but some things like coffee and crab crackers took a fair amount of time to get from her. Good variety and options for brunch. Great for the whole family. Decent Bloody Mary for $5.
