Service by Nicole was awesome! Friend dinner so lots of patience with us as we waited to order - food - not so fabulous. Chopped salad was a soup - way too much dressing. Chicken was dry and the rolls were not great. Just bummed. Normally love their food. Off night I guess.
Stephanie our server was exceptional. The only issue we had was the wine was a bit flat as if it had not been properly aired.
Great evening out for wife's birthday but really expensive.
Beautiful views and delicious food!
The seating between tables was comfortable (roomy compared to many restaurants) and we were able to talk with our friends without having to yell.
Simms is a classic steakhouse with well trained staff and fantastic service. Wednesday is a great night to visit because of their special "wine-down Wednesday" wine price reduction, which is a very welcome special considering some of their very pricey wines.
Sam Loree will take great care of you and you party!
The view is great! JFYI.......If you what to participate in the advertised happy hour, you have to sit in the lounge.
The food is poor to mediocre, had the prime rib, it wasn't anything to write home about and it was their special the night we were there. I think mine is better! I ordered their farmhouse pie and the crust was raw, seriously not cooked a bit raw. I sent it back, they made a big deal out of removing it from the bill, hmm, I would hope so since I didn't eat it and didn't get another. They offered a complimentary slice of cheesecake for the birthday buy, it was a sliver, no more than 3/4 of an inch wide. The bill was almost $150.00, for 3 people, 2 prime rib specials, one ribeye and one $7.00 glass of wine.
The service is poor, it took a good 5 minutes before I was greeted by the hostess and the place was basically empty. The waitress took a very long time to come around, water was empty for quite some time, again, it was basically empty.
I don't mind paying for good food and good service, I will absolutely pay more and tip very well more if it is great!
All things considered, I will not be back. There are too many GREAT restaurants in the area to settle for sub-par or poor anything. This was poor, all the way around.......very sad birthday dinner for our guest!
Went to dinner with our Aunt (a late holiday get together), she is very particular about her steak. She asked for an end cut of the prime rib and make sure there was no visible blood. The piece she received was about 1 1/2" thick and medium rare, too rare for her liking. They offered to cook it some more, the same piece was returned and still was not cooked as she requested. I ordered the Sazerac, which was made with entirely to much ice. A true to form Sazerac should be served with no ice. With the prices Simm's is charging, I feel they should be able to prepare a cut of meat to the customers request and know how to make a drink.
In all fairness, they did offer a free desert as compensation a twice cooked still wrong steak. I guess a place that advertises an award winning menu and renown chefs, feels that is customer service.
Not as good a meal as has in the past. After holidays so staff may have been winding down.
Good all-around, fine dining on the west side of town that boasts a killer view of downtown and the city. Go for dinner at night....very romantic. Food is of the standard steakhouse type, but not stellar or innovative. While the food was delicious, we had to send our steak back as we asked for medium and it was more medium-rare. Sides are large and can be shared. Best part of all (per my husband) - THE CHEESECAKE, which is homemade.
I choose Simms for many important celebrations in my family. Love the ambience, great food, interesting wine list, great service!
My significant other and I went to Simm's again this year for New Year's Eve. The place was buzzing! It just goes to show you how popular this place is for celebrating the holidays. We had Uber drive us to Simm's but could not get up to the front in a short period of time because the valet line was extremely long. I would hope that the next time they are a little better prepared for the masses. It was a bit frustrating to try and walk in heels up a steep incline in the snow. That being said, the food was fantastic, as always. I had a filet with creamed spinach as my side. Delicious! Jenna, our waitress, was fantastic! She was very personable and made some great recommendations.
I enjoy going to Simm's for any occasion. Their brunch is phenomenal and the staff is top-notch. It's one of my favorite places in the area!
Everything was good except the valet. We could tell he was having a hard time when we pulled up and there was about 20 cars parked up too with no where to turn around. He gave us our ticket and we had a lovely dinner. When we came out our car was still parked up top with the window down and the car had been running for 1 1/2 hours while it was snowing. They defy red help with this when the Weston’s bad they should add help.
For the cost a pretty disappointing meal. Steaks - supposedly their specialty- were very average. Service was good.
The service was terrible. Our reservation was right on time. Once we got seated it was at least a 10 minute wait before we even seen our waiter.
New Year Eve
Party Size- 4 Adults
Parking – Vale was cursing at people making it for an uncomfortable and uneasy environment, and then was not happy with the tip we have him.
Food – All the steaks were way under cooked even when asked for well done they were still very pink inside. So steaks were sent back for more cooking, expected more for a steakhouse.
Waiter – Was very pleasant but kept trying to upsell us on stuff so that got kind of annoying. But he was great.
All n All – Very disappointed the foul language was the real kicker, the steaks being under cooked and sent back was very annoying considering I said well done Dead No Pink!
Excellent dinner and wine. A little expensive but worth the price.
Had the Sunday brunch. Food was quite good. Service was excellent. They have a very good senior citizen discount for brunch. I go there for Sunday Brunch every year in December. Just be careful that Sunday around the Christmas and New Year does not fall on Sunday as the price is much higher.
Every food item was incredibly delicious. Special occasion pricing.
Disappointing. We got one good prime rib and one not so good. But the service slow so we did not have to be disappointed too early.
Simm's Steakhouse is magnificent! The wait staff is amazing and friendly, service is impeccable, and the food is outstanding! It is a little pricey, but well worth saving up for! Have dinner here...you will not regret it!
This has become our go-to for Christmas Dinner. The ambience is perfect and the food is delicious. Great steaks!
Went here on Christmas day. Now I know it was very busy but our waitress was not greatest. We had another waiter come by our table to let us know that summer would there in a few minutes. we waited about 15 minutes and she came by took our drink orders. It took a while to get our drinks. Summer finally came with the drinks at that time we were ready to order our meal. after we ordered our meal Summer did not come by to see if we needed anything the other waiter that came by the first time did come by a couple of times he was awesome. we did have to wait for water refills. When the food did finally come out Summer came by after that and then she disappeared again. For the price of the food I expected it to be great but sadly it was ok at best. I had ordered the buffalo steak med rare and it came out med well it was tuff to eat. My 12 year old daughter order the king crab and she couldn't eat it because it was over cooked as well. I tasted it and it was like chewing on a piece of rubber. The only reason I give this place 2 stars is because of the first waiter and the food runner was great. I gave most of Summers tip to them since they did most of the work. I would not recommend this restaurant at all and I will not be going there again.
Steak over cooked, side dish was cold
This is not our normal experience at Simms
Our server Sara, was excep
Our food took over an hour, received the wrong food, waitress forgot several items...
Everyone was very courteous. Very nice staff. We found service to be particularly slow but did understand as time of year and being xmas. great food and drinks!
It is a nice restaurant but very pricey. Everything is alla carte which translates into paying for sides, salads and sauces. We went Christmas for a special dinner. Not sure I would go on a regular basis
We had a wonderful Christmas dinner. Our waitress Ms. Sarah was absolutely wonderful. She took care of our table not only professional but enjoyable. Great experience.
Beautiful view. Noisy with babies making noises. Pricey. Would prefer more options on menu with some vegetarian even though it's a steakhouse.
We had a wonderful Christmas dinner. The service and food were both awesome !
We were a little disappointed at the service on Xmas Eve, even though it appeared you had extra staff. 2 of our steaks were way undercooked and food came out sporadically.
Went there for Christmas Eve. Despite it being crowded, the service was very good, food was very good and the overall experience was nice. The staff seemed very committed to ensuring diners had a pleasant evening.
The service was terrible. Our server was brusk and abrupt. Did not make for a good dining experience.
Always a fabulous meal with a gorgeous view of Colorado perfect for a night out or a special occasion. Do yourself a favor and start with some fresh oysters on the half shell and whatever cut of steak suites your liking (personally recommend the filet). Pro Tip top whatever meat you get with the bacon blue cheese butter it’s to die for!
Steaks and prime rib were excellent. Perfect for Christmas Eve family meal.
Very enjoyable Christmas Eve meal. Excellent food and outstanding view. The service was excellent.
Very nice Christmas Eve dinner.
We enjoyed our server Andrea who was very pregnant but very attentive. The hostess, however was a big disappointment. We arrived early. While I shared in my Open Table reservation that the other person in my party was handicapped (on a walker) that seemed to be a problem for her. A wait staff person indicated that there was a ramp at the south end of the restaurant but the hostess said no. When I asked the wait staff woman she told me “I wasn’t talking to you, I was talking to her.” Very rude. So once we established there was no ramp the hostess asked me how many were in my party. I mentioned, I had a reservation. Her reply, I know you do”. Then why ask. I also mentioned in the reservation we were both seniors. The hostess asked if anyone in my party would be “partaking in the senior discount”. I reiterated that we both were. She made some kind of notation on the ticket. We were seated in what appeared to be lounge chairs which were 6-8 inches lower than the table. It was very difficult to eat with that disparity. When our check arrived, no senior discount was utilized. We had to get Andrea to correct that. It seems as though if you add these important items (being handicapped and seniors) in the reservation note that the host should not have to ask again. At the end of the day she didn’t get any of it right. She needs some serious customer service training.
We lived in Evergreen many years ago, and recently moved back. My wife claimed that Sunday Brunch at Simm's Landing with our kids nearly 30 years ago was her favorite of all time. This time, our daughter and our grandkids (same ages as our kids last time we were there!) had Sunday Brunch at Simm's Steakhouse before going to see A Christmas Carole at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. It was every bit as good, and the memories came flooding back. Thanks!
