We went to Simms Steakhouse for our anniversary. We had reservations. The hostess sat us promptly. Our waiter immediately came to take drink orders. We also had an appetizer. All was good. We ordered our entrees. I had a ribeye, my wife had seafood. Both dishes were cooked perfectly. We shared a dessert. That was excellent. Was a very good experience.
THIS Simm's Staff makes the evening special. The meals are perfect, as well as the service. Thank you for an incredible Anniversary.
Loved our experience there. Service great. Good wonderful. Definitely will go back again.
It was a good steakhouse. My daughter loved the crab legs. My steak was good nothing special. The cheesecake dessert was the best...
Everything we ordered was delicious. It is a little pricey but well worth it! The wait staff, bartender, busboy, etc. were all outstanding. We had a lovely evening with friends. We will definitely do it again. They also have a great happy hour...who knew? I will definitely take advantage of that soon.
We stopped on our way up to the mountains, on a last-minute reservation. We had not eaten at Simms for years, and were pleasantly surprised. The Steakhouse is a nice restaurant with very good steak.
May I suggest that you add candles on the outdoor patio tables and turn down the flood lights. It would create a very romantic experience.
The food was outstanding as usual! My husband had the 16oz ribeye and I had the 7oz filet...both were cooked to a perfect medium rare and melt in your mouth delicious. Thanks for another great meal!
I haven't been here for over 30 years and am so glad that we remembered this restaurant. I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews but we went anyways and so happy we did!! The views were amazing, the server's were very attentive, the food was absolutely delicious and we had a great evening - couldn't ask for anything else! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who loves a good steak dinner!
We celebrate our Wedding Anniversary at Simms since we actually got married there. It’s a special place for us. The food is great!
My experience Sunday evening was very disappointing. I was sorry that I recommended this place to a friend from out of town. We were planning a large family dinner later this month at Simms but will now find another place. Other than the delicious drink from the bar, the only thing attractive now at Simms is the view. For the poor service and mediocre food you are way overpriced.
Staff and management were great. Steak was cooked perfection
The waitress was terrible. We were there for about an hour and a half and she came by once. We had empty drinks half way through our meal and then waited 20 minutes to get the bill after i asked and then took so long to come back I went to find someone to help and they said no you have to pay your server. I don't feel like even giving 1 star, 0 is not an option. The funny thing was she only had 3 tables and it is a buffet style brunch. Very disappointed. Food was OK
Dessert was the only positive about the night. Everything else was ok or not good.
Best prime rib ever. Tender juicy and perfect. Baked potato could have been a bit bigger and better. But overall, great meal!
Simms never disappoints. We had a hiccup with the cook on one of our stakes but the service "Anna" was awesome as always.
Crystal, our server was wonderful. The manager always pitches right in wherever he sees a need (filling water glasses of bringing the bill; patio view was great; the food is always excellent and the steaks melt in your mouth. It is my favorite place to dine and relax.
Delicious food with great service. Perfect night out.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner, provided by an outstanding, professional staff. Tremendous food, great wine and generous portions. Really cool building as well, the dinning area is cozy with several fire places, and a fabulous view of the city. We'll be coming back soon
Elliot was amazing, he had remembered our names from our last visit which was over a year ago. Would definitely recommend and will return !
Stephanie was terrific! The food was ok. We were celebrating my parents 55th wedding anniversary and I expected a free dessert for them. But no. Nothing special.
Great food and service. Seems a little steep on the price but I guess that comes with a higher end steakhouse.
Very nice place. The atmosphere was perfect. Service was good. Food was hot on every plate.
Our waitress was very good. She was very friendly and professional. The food on the other hand was mediocre at best. My wife and I were celebrating our 18th anniversary and I was really hoping that the food would be worth the almost $200 price tag....it was not in my opinion. Nothing was terrible mind you but it was not outstanding by any sense of the word. We shared a salad, green beans and augratin potatoes. The salad, well it was a salad. Green beans were ok, the potatoes were very heavy and rich. Not really to my liking. My wife ordered the filet minion and I ordered the New York strip. My wife said hers was ok but not great. Same with my steak. It was pretty bland overall. Honestly, it looked and tasted like it was either boiled in water or baked in an oven. There was no searing or browning to speak of. Neither my wife or I were very impressed with the food, especially for how expensive it was. Lastly, while it is not expected, we were celebrating our anniversary and it would have been nice if the restaurant would have in some way acknowledged this. While the hostess that sat us did wish us a happy anniversary, this was the only mention of it. We both felt a little let down when the table next to us was offered free deserts because it was their birthday. Again, nothing expected but a little disheartening.
Food quality was excellent. Service was professional with class. The view was outstanding and it was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends in an unhurried casual atmosphere. Simms continues to be a special place.
Food was excellent, service prompt and friendly, we will return again, great place for special occasions
Bring back bone in filet. Thank you!
Everything was top notch. My only criticism is that we were there early before the dinner crowd started to arrive yet the few early diners we all seated together making the noise level worse.
Our server, Stephanie, was outstanding and a great representative of Simms.
Our waitress was not very attentive. Our sides got dumped on the ground, felt sorry for the waiter trying to deliver-he was NOT our waitress
Wonderful dinner. Think we got the not so wonderful table. Waiter was too busy with a large dinner party that she wasn’t able to provide the service Simms is know for. Not her fault.
We dined at Simms for brunch. We were celebrating my sons birthday. We had a very special experience. It was a very relaxed meal, very delicious food and wonderful service. We enjoyed our time at Simms.
My husband and I brought friends (4) that had never been to Simms. The food was great, Elliot was great. It would have been nice to have been asked if we needed separate checks to avoid confusion at the end of the meal. I am a member of the Landry's Club but was not asked if we were. Due to that, I did forget to let the waiter know and therefore was not able to apply this meal on my card.
We were visiting Denver and went there for the view. We had indoor seating reservations but after we got there kinda got talked into sitting outside lower level. Lots of highway noise. The waiter told us right off he was also the bartender so be patient. He was a nice guy and worked hard at keeping up. The food was good but not spectacular, considering the price.
We love this restaurant! The view is awesome, service is great and their plates are very good!
We had never been to this steakhouse and were in town for a concert, so thought we would try it. Started with drinks and calamari, which was amazing and then the homemade rolls, salad, entrees, all delish! Manager was very attentive and when my first entree didn’t work, he brought me a new one - and quickly! We will be back when we pass through Denver in August.
We had a lovely evening. The service, atmosphere and view were spectacular. The food was hit and miss. My wife's lobster bisque was amazing, my caesar salad was mediocre. Both my wife's chicken and my filet were incredible. My peach cobbler was great, but her crème brûlée was grainy. She had a lovely glass of rosé, but my strawberry margarita was bland. Overall we recommend it and will probably return, but it was certainly not perfect.
Exemplary food and very friendly staff. But unfortunately (this time) the table service seemed distracted and disjointed, unlike previous experiences.
We watched the front range fireworks displays for miles from the incredible view. The filets melted in our mouths and the king crab were ginormous!
Service was great. The view was amazing. My biggest issue is the price for non-aged steaks and the quality of the sides. By the time we purchased dinner for two, the quality could not be compared to the likes of the Capital Grille for the same price (minus the views). However, Texas Roadhouse has a better steak while the atmosphere is awful there. Come for the views, avoid the steak and forgo the sides. Maybe cocktails only?
