You should allow parking on the upper level of your south parking lot and move the valet service to the lower parking. Your steps are a killer for an old guy like me.
We went to the Sunday buffet. We were seated as soon as we arrived. We were 15 minutes early. Our table was next to a large, panoramic window with a wonderful view of the Denver skyline. Service was quick and attentive. We had 2 wait staff checking on us frequently. There was a huge selection of brunch items, from traditional bacon, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, all the way up to shrimp and crab legs. Many other items like quiche, baked ravioli, rolled pancakes and French toast and many more items. The omelet station was quick with any order of eggs prepared to order. There was also a dessert section with pastries and cheese cake and a large selection of fresh fruit. With our senior discount, it was only $19.95 per person. A great meal and a great deal! We'll be back. Thank you Simms Steakhouse.

It was fabulous
We went to Simms last year when we visited Denver and the food was incredible. When we made plans to visit Denver for thanksgiving this year, our first thought was to make reservations at Simms for thanksgiving dinner. I made the reservation months ago and didn’t know it was a buffet. I found out it was a buffet Wednesday when I called to add one more to our reservation, which I wa grateful that they honored my request. The buffet was terrible. First, it was incredibly messy with food on the floor and all over the tables. The prime rib was so salty we couldn’t eat it. The food in the serving dishes was cold and lacked flavor. We were there at 7:30p for dinner and half of the buffet was breakfast foods (French toast, eggs, etc). The dessert consisted of marshmallows, rice crispy treats, vanilla wafers, and strawberries with a chocolate fondue. There were also bite sized brownies and plain cheesecake. Not what I was expecting from simms on thanksgiving. I would have much rather preferred the regular menu. I’d also suggest when people make a reservation and the menu is going to be different, you let the person know so that they are aware. We were greatly disappointed with the holiday buffet. I would recommend Simms when it’s off the menu, not a buffet.
The food selections were great but cold and not kept up on very well. The desserts were great. The ambience is great and the view amazing.
Thanksgiving buffet was mostly breakfast items even after 4 pm We were very disappointed .It was Golden Coral style buffet not an upscale steak restaurant
The food was mediocre at best. Many of the item seem to have come straight out of a package or box.
everything was simply great. Mark took great care in coordinating the event for my mothers 92nd birthday. Wyatt served us and was exceptional. We will return again and again
A nice place for holding special occasions gatherings
Thanksgiving buffet? Yes please. Got to eat a ton and didn’t have to clean up! Wonderful food and service.
Food and service was amazing
Our experience at Simms Steakhouse was superior. The wait staff, service, food, everything was sensational. Will be returning very soon. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Great meal, wait staff recommendations were spot on!
The food was quite good overall but a bit on the pricey side. The service was excellent our server Eddie was wonderful. The kitchen was a bit slow on delivery of our main course. The view was amazing and we enjoyed it. It was a bit too loud though, a bit hard to have a quiet discussion over dinner. They did try extra hard to make our very special occasion feel important.
Jenna was a wonderful server
The food was cooked to perfection
Simms Steakhouse was a great choice for our 35 anniversary celebration. The views of Denver are awesome. Food was excellent, as was the service. We had not been to Simms for a number of years since it was Simms Landing. Nice to see a longtime Denver establishment that is still so appealing.
Food was delicious. Our waiter, Elliot was exceptional. Knowledgeable, polite, friendly and fun-a great combination. Each of us had different entrees; beef, buffalo, and mahi mahi with crab. Well prepared and presented. We will definitely come again.
Great food and atmosphere. Had a small problem with how one steak was prepared, but Tony was on it immediately and took great care of us. Top notch!
Excellent Sunday brunch!!!!! A must go for any one
Love the view and the ambiance! Amazing. Food was delicious! The noise level was a bit loud but totally worth the trip.
The food and ambiance was wonderful. Our server was fantastic. She was helpful and was always there when we needed anything. Great night.
Wonderful view.
I started with my standard shrimp cocktail; it was very good.
Then I had the Wagyu filet, which was outstanding; juicy, tender, and oh so flavorful! Perfectly seasoned and cooked! I also had the Morel mushroom cream sauce, which was a great compliment to the steak; a less flavorful filet would have been overpowered.
All this with a very nice 1000 Stories red Zinfandel.
For desert I had a very nice apple/pear crisp with Glenfiddich 18 single malt Scotch.
All presented with excellent service.
A very nice evening.
Highly recommended!
It was a great evening. All was excellent including service, steaks and cocktails A few suggestions.
Please bring back the bone in filet. Also, a handicap ramp to dining area with beautiful views would be helpful.
.
70th birthday- not even a cupcake
Requested window seating- NOT
Parking terrible-3 flights of stairs while 30empty valet spots closer not being used.
Short version - Nice steakhouse atmosphere. Food & service definitely not worth the price.
Long version - Birthday dinner on a Monday night, party of 3. Server pleasant but busy. Issues: Pear took quite a while to get some. $10 iceberg wedge salad was huge but person eating it said 'not nearly as good as I get at ______" (a local diner). A $37 6-oz filet mignon was served on a greasy oval plate with nothing else - not a piece of kale, a couple vegetable slices, NOTHING - to indicate an attempt at "presentation"; ordered med-rare, it arrived very rare and had to be sent back. When it went to the kitchen, there was half of a shared baked potato on the plate with the filet; on return, the sour cream and butter had melted onto the plate, with no attempt to make it look presentable. Prime rib ordered med-rare (on Prime Rib Monday) looked beautiful but was chewy and only half-eaten. Prime rib ordered med-well (yes, I know) came out as a rib-eye steak - put on the grill and cooked beyond well-done. There was no offer of a birthday celebration dessert so we decided to share the banana peanut butter cake. It was very good - served on a rectangular plate with a big chip on the corner. Total bill including 2 cocktails, 2 glasses wine and tip - $240. We were giving a second chance after a similar experience a few years ago. There won't be a third.
Food was unimpressive at best. the lobster bisque was cold when it was served, and had to be sent back to be microwaved in order for it to be edible. The onion soup was so salty that it was unable to be eaten it all.
The stakes were okay, but not outstanding or even above average which would be expected for the price that is being charged for them. Requested steak medium rare, and got it medium well.
The cheesecake for dessert was very dry.
Our server was inattentive at best, but at least to his credit he admitted he didn't do a great job. When leftovers were packed up, despite being marked, we all got each other's items. I was hoping my New York Strip would be better the second day since it was not great on the first, but ended up with my friend's bison ribeye boxed up with my potatoes.
They do have a good wine list.
You can't go wrong with Simms Steakhouse. We went for my son's birthday and the server comped him not one but 2 slices of cake (one chocolate, one cheesecake) with candles to celebrate. Such a nice touch. As usual, the service and food were top notch. We will definitely return.
We went for Sunday brunch. There were 3 tables of guests. They ran out of all seafood and desserts, and the remainder of the food looked like they had been sitting out for a long time and had dried out. The service was almost non-existent and slow when we did see our server.
Entree Wasn’t Prepared Correctly!
Love this restaurant we come here very often and the service is amazing. I really love how the manager comes and check in on you that makes me feel appreciated.
Great place to meet our grandgirl and her new boyfriend. We always took her to Simms for her birthday dinners so since we were back in CO we thot that would continue as a good memory for her...
What a great experience!! Celebrated my anniversary and they made it really a special evening.
The service and food was hands down some of the best I have ever had.
The food was amazing and you have a great view if the city. Service was very good!
The food was between good and very good but not great. Very nice view of downtown Denver. Very good, nearly great, wine list. The New York Strip and the Filet were very good and at the right price point. The ribeye left something to be desired—a bit on the thin side with some tough gristle. We had the potatoes au gratin, mashed potatoes, green beans, and creamer spinach as our family style sides. They were consistently good. The lobster bisque was GREAT. I would return just for the bisque. Our server was very attentive and had a good sense of humor. The manager also appeared on one occasion to ask about our meal and refilled our beverages—a nice touch.
Inconsistent and service was brusque. Not sure if this restaurant understands the Landry’s brand and as it tries to achieve an upscale clientele, it will need to fine-time its good and it’s service.
Great experience. Sunday Brunch buffet was outstanding. The food was excellent, there was a wide variety of selections, customer service was very good, the view of the city was wonderful. It was the best Sunday brunch we've had in years.
It's a little confusing figuring out how to get on the correct road to the entrance, so just be aware of that. Everything else was fantastic and the Lobster really is worth $60. This restaurant has been around for many many years and they are still going as strong as ever.
My wife and I had dinner and the entire time we spent at Simms was a great experience. The valet, the bar tender and Dan our waiter, everything was perfect.
Thanks,
Soup should have been hotter but tasted good. Steaks were fattier then expected which I’ve seen in a bunch of reviews. Overall, it was great and we will go back but for the price, the food should be better.
We were there on Monday evening to take advantage of the "Monday night Prime Rib special". All aspects of or our evening were outstanding. Wish more places were this good, and more to the point, as reliably great every time we go.
