Absolutely amazing food, cocktails and service. The best on island. I can not recommend this place enough.
Great food and great service as always.
I am always super excited for a dinner at Taikun!
Definitely One of my favorite restaurants in Cayman.
Arguably the best Sushi spot in Grand Cayman.
Food is always on point!
Amazing all round 10/10. Was there to celebrate a business promotion and they surprised us with a lovely cake to congratulate!
Great food and service.
Would of given it more stars if the Martini would have been served in a Martini glass, Nevertheless, it was very gracefully done!
Good food but nothing special . Great service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had the Sensei set menu and it was absolutely perfect. Quite a lot of food for two people but if you want to indulge it is very worth it. Great service and atmosphere.
Amazing food, incredible service! The chefs are the best!!!!!!
Excellent service and food. Highly recommend to any prospective lover of Japanese cuisine.
There is nothing I could fault with my evening at taikun. The food was fresh and amazing. The staff were friendly and so helpful.
Not sure when ordering a signature menu, why sashimi, sushi and maki was included. i was expecting more of a true Japanese experience.
Too many people asking if everything was ok
Absolutely exceptional service and paid attention to our dietary requirements/allergies very well! As it was two birthdays being celebrated that night, the hostess and Ms. Ivory (our waitress) was very thoughtful to making it special!
Arrived on time to our reservation and was immediately seated. The ladies and gentlemen were very helpful and ensured that we got everything that we wanted. There was not long wait time for receiving the food.
We loved the relaxed feel of this place and we will definitely return to try more dishes. Service was well-timed and friendly, the food was great and the bubbles we had were affordable.
The food was really good, the Atencion to detail was excellent, can’t wait to go back.
Overpriced wine and a very limited menu beyond sushi.
We celebrated our one year anniversary and we were spoiled! Arup was an excellent server who went above and beyond. Thank you for a memorable evening.
Amazing service and incredible food, never disappoints
Dinner and drinks were all of good quality. The variety of sushi and sashimi were limited though. I am not sure why more fresh seafood is not an option for sashimi. The saki recommendation was very nice. Ashwini did a great job taking care of us.
We are returning today for our 2nd time for 2 reasons: Our reservation at the Wharf was cancelled due to smoke from a fire at the landfill. And since we enjoyed our dining experience at Taikun 2 days ago.
Waiter was very knowledgable and welcoming.
Amazing experience as usual, will return again soon!
Fresh but flavorless
Amazing food. Excellent Service also. Lucy and Prashant were very attentive to our every need. Lucy knew just what to recommend after asking several questions and she is a total ray of sunshine with a great smile and full of personality. We will be back.
Service and Food quality was outstanding. Teresa and Aishwini who took care of were awesome and make for a great experience. The sashimi was fresh and well presented, and the rolls, especially the Volcano roll was flavorful and tatsy.
Definitely a special occasion place! We celebrated my husbands birthday there with friends and our Nepalese server (I’m sorry we can’t remember his name) was absolutely wonderful!
Good but not great . Sushi was solid and fresh but nothing special. Cost was high, but it was our first night in GC and it was a good option to fall back on.
Everything at the Ritz Grand Caymen is spectacular. Every room is perfect, all the service staff are amazing & attentive and every other restaurant on site has food that is impeccable as to taste, presentation and quality. At Taikun the service was good but as far as the actual food I would say that just about any corner sushi restaurant puts Taikun to shame. Taikuns rolls are loose (they literally fall apart when you try to pick them up), they are at best mediocre in taste and they are vastly overpriced.
Amazing food. Excellent service!! Very enjoyable
Nice setting good ambiance. Overall though, overpriced and not very good sushi. I eat sushi all over the world and this was some of the most mediocre I have had in a long time. Good sake choices though.
We came expecting an upscale experience and environment, but found young kids, people with shorts and flip flops, and tee shirts detracting from our experience. Understand that this is a family resort, so recommend leaning into a more casual environment and pricing. The food and service itself were great, though. We just wish we knew what we were getting into so we wouldn’t have gotten glammed up for a Saturday night out - felt embarrassed and out of place.
Fantastic! I am from Manhattan so can be quite picky about sushi — incredible food, creative approach, and fabulous service. A must visit when in Grand Cayman.
We went to Taikun for our anniversary dinner on Monday and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was great and there was a good atmosphere. The one comment I have is that it took a long time for our order to be taken and for the waiter to come and bring us water at the beginning of the meal. We tried getting their attention multiple times but appreciate that the restaurant was busy. Following the initial issue the service was great. I would highly recommend, especially for a special occasion.
It was delightful
Absolutely outstanding restaurant! The sushi is prepared by masters with perfect umami, and the service is so wonderful with the friendliest staff. Their smiling faces are so welcoming. They serve you constantly yet blend in the atmosphere so as not to interrupt your enjoyment. Fabulous!
The sushi rolls were delicious, creative and very imaginative. Highly recommend and we will be back
Outstanding fresh sashimi and sushi. Excellent service and priced well for good restaurants of like quality in the area. A really good experience.
Birthday diner at a lovely restaurant - with most probably the worse rolls ever
Miso soup, sushi, & mochi were outstanding alongside great service!
Amazing! The best sushi on the island and one of the best in the world. Very innovative and fresh and the service is incredible.
