Silver Fox Steakhouse Richardson Ratings and Reviews
The waitstaff was amazing. They picked up on one of our coworkers who has a sensitivity to spice and made her dish to her liking. The bartender was friendly and provided some good tips on my upcoming vacation. Overall very enjoyable and the food was amazing.
Had visited the Silver Fox in Grapevine several years ago and was not as impressed. A little reluctant when this location was recommended but was very pleased with the service, food and ambiance. Staff was friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to meet our needs. Food was excellent and prepared exactly how i wanted. Will definitely return.
They didn't have sugar cubes and server said bartender was too busy to ask if he could make a champagne cocktail. It was NY Eve, so it seemed like that would be a craft cocktail they'd offer. Especially at a high end restaurant. Steak knives were dull, hard to cut thru decent cut of meat. Paid extra for lobster tail which was really really salty. Just kind of a sad rendition of what used to be a really special place. Not worth the price.
We went to dinner for Christmas eve, and the noise level was very good for having conversation with our table, which is hard to find these days. The lobster bisque is really good; the ribeye steak was great, but not $48 great. Don't bother ordering the roasted brussel sprouts, because they are not roasted, they are CHARCOLE burned -- literally black to a crisp and most of it completely inedible.
Overall service was very good, but with so many restaurants in Dallas to choose from, we'll skip this one.
Good service. Most of the food was good. My tenderloin would have been good without the sauce. The sauce was WAY over salted.... so much so it was not edible. I ate a couple of pieces of tenderloin around the edge that did not have so much sauce. I mentioned it to the server but he did not do anything about it. It was obvious I did not eat much of my meal. Everything else was good.
Silver Fox NEVER disappoints. We have been here several times, usually for a special occasion, but this time just because we were craving a really great steak. We took the waiters suggestion of a special and it was absolutely divine. As always, service was impeccable and the food is superb. We have been customers for several years and they are consistently over the top with service and food! It is one of our local favorites!
We were there for Thanksgiving. My expectations are never very high for holiday dining, because places that are open are usually overcrowded and rushed, and limited menus are often mediocre. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was--the roasted turkey was moist and tender, and the traditional sides were all excellent. The place was crowded and loud and slow (as expected), and there was a glitch in service--they forgot our salads--but they were duly apologetic and we still had an enjoyable experience.
We came for Thanksgiving Dinner and were pleasantly surprised. In spite of sold out seatings we never felt rushed or hurried. We ordered a bottle of wine that was not available so the sommelier came to our table to make recommendations and provide samples. We were able to select a wonderful white burgundy that went perfectly with the meal. Food, service and ambience were suitable for the occasion and exceeded our expectations. Thank you for a great dining experience.
I reserved a spot for 7:30 online and arrived on time, however when I arrived the place was packed and I was told there was still a 10 -15 minute wait and I could sit at the bar (only 2 seats at the bar, the fireplace on the end was cozy but the TV went out with a message that the cable bill needed paid). The bar waiter offered to give me a menu but I never got one.
After 30 minutes I went back to the reservation desk and was told it would be 10 more minutes, and then the table was ready. The food was good, especially the III Forks Salad with Walnut Maple vinagrette. The waitress Jeanine was good; she just spoke really fast when describing the meal selections. The steak was good, the sides are routine veggies, I just would have thought perhaps they would be grilled or prepared a bit differently for an upscale place. The visit was enjoyable otherwise.
