Beautiful Inn and the tea room was so pretty. I loved the tea options and the scones were perfect.
Beautiful tea room! My mom, three children and I go there every year for a special treat when we visit from Texas. I only wish is that I lived closer.
This is a great place to go for any special occasions or anytime with a group of people. The atmosphere is beauteous and extremely relaxing. The food is fresh and delicious, I had the quiche with a spinach salad and it was yummy. My Mom had a 1/2 of sandwich with a garden salad and hers was good as well. The staff is very friendly and you can ask any questions you like. Highly recommend !! Worth the experience.
My favorite lunch time spot. Excellent creative menu changes every month.
Service was amazing and it was great experience! Tea was amazing and the strawberry bisque was delightful
The atmosphere was wonderful and the service was fantastic. Lots of options for tea and the food was delicious. Elegant and a calm, quiet atmosphere. If you wanted, there was the option to take some food home, dessert was amazing! Reasonable prices and well worth it!
I haven been several times for afternoon tea. I really enjoy the atmosphere and food selection. The homemade sandwiches change periodically and are always delicious! If you live in the area or here for vacation, I would recommend after noon tea at The Silver Fountain Tea Parlor.
Keep up the good work Pamela and James!!
Like stepping into another - and very charming - world. The Victorian parlor setting was lovely for dining and filled with "oh look at that" details. The presentation of the food was also unique and classy. The menu was ample with both sweet and savory offerings. We enjoyed everything was had and intend to return!
The whole experience was fun and enjoyable. Had lunch with friends and family and the staff made it enjoyable. They had so many flavors of tea to choose from and our lunch was delicious.
The Tea Parlor at The Silver Fountain Inn is an extra special destination experience. A lovely period room with beautiful vintage decor, wonderfully fancy place settings, and relaxed atmosphere one would expect for afternoon tea. Delicious menu changes monthly and Pam, Innkeeper, is very accommodating to dietary restrictions. The scones are the best I've ever had and the "Duchess" tea is a delightful indulgence. Whether a baby "Sprinkle" for 10, get-together with friends, or special birthday tea for a 4-year old, the Tea Parlor at Silver Fountain Inn has never disappointed.
The atmosphere is beautiful, the tea selection excellent and the food is delicious. Staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the entire menu. Always a memorable visit!
My granddaughter and I love the Tea Room...the food is great as is the atmosphere. Pam makes you feel very welcomed.
Was a very nice way to spend an afternoon with good friends. They make everything seem special!
We had such a lovely time!
We were celebrating Mothers day early and both enjoyed our high tea. Wonderful selection of teas. Food was delicious and fresh. We look forward to returning.
Roses and lilies on the table, lace tablecloths and English bone China, Downton Abbey music playing in the background, gourmet English tea fare galore and very friendly and accommodating service. Who could ask for more?
I introduced my friend to your Tea Room. She had such a good time and fell in love with all the attention to detail. We loved our food choices. Pamela is such a charming hostess.
Fabulous place. Love the setting in a old Victorian. Very cute. They have Gluten Free options.
The atmosphere at this quaint tea house and bed and breakfast is a wonderful surprise for a wonderful English tea house experience. Highly recommend !!!!
I keep going back and introducing it to people. Says a lot!
What a lovely time we had. Four of us enjoyed our afternoon tea, sandwiches and desserts. Beautiful architecture and design. Looking forward to a mystery dinner theatre soon.
Lovely tea experience! Set in a gorgeous bed and breakfast, the dining room is at once both elegant and cozy. The place settings were lovely and the teacups were adorable. They have a vast selection of teas, served to you in individual infuser pots, complete with timers for steeping the perfect cup. We opted for the "duchess," a sampling of the monthly menu served on the cutest tiered tower. The food was tasty and offered twists on classics, which I love. My dining partner did say the crab salad croissant tasted overly fishy, but that it wouldn't stop her from returning. The desserts residing on the top tier were delightful and the perfect little bite to finish off the meal. The hostess was incredibly accommodating, she made us feel right at home and was very attentive and ensured we had a lovely time. I look forward to visiting again in the future!
Awesome birthday lunch ! Food was so yummy
I would recommend the Silver Fountain to anyone who appreciates victorian antiques and a wonderful afternoon tea. Food was outstanding and the selection of tea very impressive. Pam was very welcoming and answered all our questions about the menu and history of the home. Can not wait to return and try next months menu. How have I missed this jewel of a place? So happy to have found it. You must go and experience it for yourself. You will want to return again and again.
My guest was sooooo impressed. She kept using the words "elegant" and "so delicious." I wanted to say thank you to by taking her to the Silver Fountain. She can't wait to bring her daughter.
Excellent! My favorite lunch time restaurant! Great food and atmosphere.
Took my mother to afternoon tea. It was simply delightful! There was a great selection of teas. The food was delicious. The strawberry scones were some of the best I have ever eaten! We even got some to take home. I like the menu changes monthly and keeps things fresh and different. The inn is like stepping into the past, and is beautifully decorated per the time period the house was built.
The perfect place for affordable class and grace while eating a delicious meal.
We had a delightful time at the inn. We loved the food and tea. It was a perfect afternoon!
This lunch was a special treat. The Inn has a fun atmosphere, it is unique, and the service was excellent despite being busy. That said, for a lunch it was expensive when compared to other tea houses (Chester, Vt) and frankly the food was nothing special for the price, nor was there a lot of it for the average eater.
This very special Inn has such history and beautiful architecture, and Pam especially caters to us “gluten free” diners. You can also peek into available rooms at the Inn, to see how wonderfully they have been restored! A great value amd the Themed dinners are a very special evening!!
Fantastic, as always! I have come to expect nothing less. Pam & Jim Pidgeon are the consummate hosts!
We come here frequently and it is always a great experience. Such a great setting. Wonderful tea, food, and service!
We had such fun. The service was wonderful and the food and tea were excellent. The Silver Fountain Inn's tea room is very Victorian and the architectural details are lovely. A great way to spend an afternoon.
My Mum, College Freshman daughter and I booked a table for tea. It was a Friday at 12:30pm and we had the dining room to ourselves until a pair of friends walked in.
The setting was glorious with the original woodwork etc...still intact and in very good shape. Note: we were welcome to walk around and explore the house, which we happily did! Well worth the visit alone.
We ordered The Duchess...a three tiered presentation of sandwiches, scones and sweets. The Duchess came with a large pot of tea each, but the tea selection was huge making one single choice impossible. Happily we were able to get two small pots each and choise two different types a piece. I highly recommend the Pomegranate Clove. Perfect.
The sandwiches were yummy and satusfied all three if our tastes. The scones were cinnamon and served with clotted cream and lemon curd. And the sweets were eaten quickly by the youngest of us, with the remainder brought home in the offered pretty pink boxes.
This isn’t an inexpensive endeavor, but the entire experience is worth every penny. Wear something just a bit special, bring the perfect person (or people) and be certain not to have a rigid schedule so that you can enjoy the tea, the food and the company to the fullest!
I always enjoy the Silver Fountain Inn. It's a great place to have lunch or tea with a girlfriend or to mark a special occasion. This time we both had quiche and a lovely salad with small asparagus and hazelnuts. Both were delicious and left us room for a "sampler" dessert which had 4 yummy small cakes. With our tea, it was a cozy, relaxed afternoon where we could chat away to our hearts' content.
My two sisters and I enjoyed an informal high tea in a pretty Victorian environment. The sandwiches, scones and mini dessert items were very tasty and filling. Popular mini series music, in the Downton Abbey genre, played in the background, adding to the relaxing and comfortable ambience. Our experience was a little like stepping back in time and retreating from the noise and hustle and bustle of the world outside. We look forward to our next visit!
Beautiful Victorian home built in 1800's and now a bed and breakfast inn and tea house in an area of other similar homes. We had a delicious lunch, opting for the Duchess high tea for the full experience. Hugh selection of teas. Service was excellent and you can explore the inn when done.
The Silver Fountain Inn & Tea Parlor is so welcomed for lunch as opposed to a frantic chain/fast food restaurant. There is a very relaxed ambience plus excellent selections for lunch.
Super special place the lady waiting on us was wonderful!! My 13 year old daughter loves tea and loves this place. Food was great and place so pretty. Can't wait to go again.
