Surprised to see the very foodie forward menu. Albeit, expensive…it was worth it! Was not busy at all, but hopefully the public will keep coming. They need better signage outside, for people not staying at the resort. We all thought it was an outstanding meal! Highly recommend.

The manager didn't seem to know much about wine and our server was nice but was inexperienced. The food and wine is greatly overpriced. We won't be back.

Our food was outstanding, the service is just okay which is important for your dining experience. We had to explain what a Tanqueray and Tonic is and what arrived to the table wasn't one... No bartender on staff.

We had an amazing anniversary dinner and hope to come back soon for another special occasion! Every course was so good and we were impressed with the attention to deal and outstanding flavors of the Northshore. Savannah was our server and she anticipated every need and the timing of all the entrees was perfect!

Made a special trip for a birthday celebration and it was well worth it. The food was fantastic, the kitchen extras were a wonderful treat, the view is amazing, the atmosphere is elegant, and our server Armando was absolutely fantastic. I've been to many fine dining establishments around the United States and have always wished the northland had a viable option. Now they do. Would absolutely recommend and look forward to returning for another memorable experience!!

Our waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive. She made us feel welcomed and she didn’t rush us to make decisions. We enjoyed the food, wine and the ambience. Very nice place indeed! We hope to return.

Perfect location right inside the main lodge. Not very busy on a Saturday evening. The service was great and food was good but I can’t say it was worth the price. Would have loved if there was a bar with small plate bar priced food options.

We dined on Monday evening and there were only 3 other people there. Was very quiet and pretty view. Theres no private seating but the low lighting and quiet atmosphere helped it still be a nice place for a date. Expect fine dining prices but worth it. :)

The Chop House reservation system must be faulty since I could not get a reservation after 5:15 pm and in a room with likely 50 tables, there were only three occupied all the time we were there. They demanded a credit card to make a reservation and explained that it would be charged $25.00 a person for no shows or if the party was over 10 minutes late! I mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday and requested a table with a view of the lake, but that was deemed impossible by the management when we arrived, since our party was 5 people. We recieved no accommodation even though none of the tables facing the lake ( at least 12) were ever occupied. Yes, the level of noise was low (good) but that was because only three tables were occupied in an enormous room.

Respectfully, as you first indicated, we didn't have any reservations available past 5:15 on the day of your dining experience with all our window seats being fully reserved already, in which they were despite your embellished comments to the contrary of which you disputed yourself citing the lack of availability. Further, every table in our establishment has a lakeview, we certainly are privileged to be blessed with such great views throughout the restaurant.

We went to Superior Shores for our anniversary. Outstanding service by our waiter Prince. Sergio, the manager, checked with us to make sure we were enjoying our dinner. We were given amazing chocolate cake with berries to celebrate our anniversary. What an outstanding place. The steak was incredible, cooked to our perfection and melted in your mouth. Presentation of all the items was sensational. We loved the way the each item was showcased and especially prepared. Our Caesar Salad, garlic mashed potatoes, and steak. It was worth every penny! If you haven’t been to this place… your are missing out. Fabulous service, friendly and welcoming.

This is a bit of a hidden gem. The steaks are the equal of the best I've eaten anywhere. The sixty day dry aged NY strip is astounding and the Wagyu is delicate and flavorful. The duck fat fried truffle fries are worth the trip themselves. That said, the prices reflect the quality, if you're looking for inexpensive this isn't your place.

The chophouse is a tourist trap with subpar food. The most expensive dish was overcooked. If you need wheel chair accessibility, DO NOT COME HERE. At least specify on the website which entrance to utilize for arrival with a wheelchair. Even with new management, please do better.

We went to the Chophouse to celebrate our anniversary and were surprised with the most amazing and delicious slice of chocolate cake I have ever had at the end of or meal on the house. Overall we really enjoyed the meal, the view and the ambiance!

My fiance and I came here to have a nice dinner during our trip to the North Shore. The dining room has a spectacular view of Superior and has an elegant air to it. The staff were spectacular. The menu was intriguing and adventurous. We started with the walleye cakes (highly recommend), I had the bison ribeye and she had the salmon. Both were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The food and drink options were locally sourced, which we thought was quite neat. If you're looking for an adventurous fine dining experience, this is a must try.

Cocktail was ok, food was maybe good even, but both were very, very overpriced for the quality. Service was about the same--we gave a gentle hint we didn't like one of our sides (brussel sprouts were completely charred), but it was not understood, so not quite the attention we would've hoped for. Though the views of the lake were nice, these sorts of things can detract from an otherwise enjoyable experience. We usually finish our wine and stay for dessert, but corked the rest our bottle and hightailed it out of there, pretty dissatisfied and won't be going back.

Very expensive and just ok. From the outside you would never guess that such a beautiful dining room awaits up the stairs. Signage was plentiful leading to secluded resort but noticeably absent from exterior of the building or on the property, which we found odd. Service was attentive and dinning room was lovely, but for us, the accolades end there. My husband, connoisseur of Old Fashioneds, gave this one a D. Our $85 wagyu steaks were a bit overcooked. While not ruined, they were not expertly cooked either. The mashed potatoes and lobster béarnaise were fine accompaniments, but nothing special. While nothing was terrible about this experience, given the price tag, diners should expect a restaurant to deliver a lot more.

Overall, I rated the food FAIR. Some was very good. My bison steak was poor and brings the whole review down. It was bland, and chewy. Is that normal for a bison steak? Rest of the experience not good enough to bring me back bc of the price.
