SILO Terrace Oyster Bar
Private Dining available for up to 20 guests, as wells as a covered temperature controlled outdoor rooftop Oyster Bar for al fresco dining.
The staff was incredible and very knowledgeable. The food was outstanding. We had the raw oysters and the chicken fried oyster meal which was unbelievable! I’d love to come back for drinks when the weather is cooler on the terrace!
Most recent of several visits. The food (sea bass, halibut, snapper, oysters, chowder, spinach salad, coconut cream pie)
was outstanding. Service excellent, wine prices reasonable. We’ve never had less than an excellent meal here. I wish the view was not I10, but at least there are hills in the background. Can’t recommend it enough.
This restaurant has Best service in San Antonio!! The food is delicious too!!
As always an amazing meal!! The salmon was cooked to perfection! Brought
It's a great place to take friends and a great place for a date night! Lovely atmosphere and the food. The patio area has a great happy hour and seating area. In the winter time they turn on the fireplace which is a nice touch. Highly recommend!
Really great food and service. Will be back for sure.
Asked a couple coworkers of a great fresh seafood restaurant. I figured it would be a great place for me and my wife to share a moment celebrating her birthday. The waitress Celeste was very attentive as well as the host staff. The lighting was perfect and drinks were crisp. The Chef and the kitchen staff had great presentations. If you are looking for Oysters need to look no further.
Only thing was that we were right next to some loud people which made it hard to hear since I already can’t hear but great service great food and overall it was a great evening. I will be coming here again no doubt about it.
Silo is the most awesome restaurant in San Antonio! The service is awesome. The food is delicious. And the ambience is amazing. The servers are very attentive and the manager is tops!
We enjoy the SILO Terrace Oyster Bar. We usually make reservations.
When we arrived, we were seated right away. Service is always excellent - everyone works as a team. The food is outstanding. The Caesar salad is wonderful, lightly dressed so it is not soggy. My sister and her husband always order the shrimp and grits. They keep saying they are going to try something else, but then they just love it. I tried the clam chowder for the first time. It was delicious, rich and warm, without being thick. They are known for their Chicken Fried Oysters - they are crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, with a wonderful flavor. The pasta was cooked perfectly! A wonderful evening. We will return.
This was my first visit. I've been looking for a good seafood restaurant in my area. I LOVE fried oysters and shrimp. So, I assumed that an "oyster bar" would offer a great dish and went prepared to enjoy the fried oysters. They do offer fried oysters, but they come with a mustard hollandaise sauce. I asked if I could substitute the usual red sauce, but they do not offer any kind of red sauce. I changed to the special of the night, a Chilean bass. It was delicious. My friend ordered the salmon, and she said it was very good. If you enjoy gourmet seafood dishes, this is the place to go, but just don't come looking for traditional, fried options.
The waitstaff and management team deliver a great experience on top of the excellent food and beverage execution! Sarah and team are superb!
Excellent food and service. Will definitely go back!
Great every time we’ve been at least 9 time consistently very good
Awesome awesome food and great service!!
As always, we enjoyed our early dinner at Silo's Terrace Oyster Bar. We started with a bottle of their chardonnay, then we ordered some calamari - very tasty! I had the delicious miso glazed salmon, others in our group ordered the Texas Redfish (always a favorite), the chicken fried oysters (excellent!), and finally the halibut. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and sadly we were too full to order dessert. We love how easy it is to carry on a conversation at Silo, and how attentive and professional the service is. Will definitely be back!
EVERYTHING we ordered was fantastic. Highly recommend!!!!!
Another wonderful meal at Silo.
Amazing food and cocktails. Oyster Rockefeller were tasteful as,well as the Chilean sea bass
I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Everything was delicious except for the King Crab, one of my favorite foods. It really did not taste fresh. The service was excellent, location convenient, and overall a wonderful evening.
This is a great place for a quiet dining experience; tables look out onto the hills across the way; food is excellent and service beyond reproach.
Quite possible the most tasty pristine oyster on the half shell I have ever eaten. EVER!
Service was a little slow, and noise was unbearable, we had to scream to hear ourselves, acoustics are very bad for trying to have a relaxing evening out. The foid quality was as good as always, but Silo’s at 1604 is much better.
Latest of several visits. We hosted a couple who had not been before. Service started slow , but once engaged , was excellent. All the food, appetizers (oysters ), salads (spinach, fried green tomatoes) entrees ( salmon, lobster ravioli, halibut) and dessert (coconut cream pie, cheesecake was excellent. The wine list is varied and reasonable by the glass for some varieties.
The setting is modern and pleasant but small and a bit noisy when busy. It’s not cheap ( dinner for four, with 2 glasses of wine each was $300 + tip)
but worth it for the quality. Silo remains one of the most reliably excellent restaurants in SA at all of the locations.
Our Waitstaff was outstanding, Elizabeth led the gang and was excellent with the wine match and with recommendations for those of us who were not sure what to order. The food is always good but this night it was perfect. Thanks for a fun, delicious dinner with friends.
Love the fried oysters.
Chef selection was really good! Dinner was fun!
Silo never disappoints. The Chilean sea bass was delicious. It was cooked perfectly - nicely seared and moist. The red snapper special was also very good. The service is always above and beyond. Silo is our go to restaurant when we want excellent seafood, celebrating a life event, or entertaining out of town guests.
Honestly, the place is normally very good. I scheduled a business dinner. This time, there were a significant number of flies in the restaurant which makes you wonder about the cleanliness but certainly is massively distracting shooing them away the entire meal.
Wonderful evening with fabulous food. Only change would be where we were seated. We were too close to the kitchen and could feel the heat from the ovens.
We were so impressed by our experience. Wonderful cuisine. Impeccable service. Nice ambiance. Can't wait to return.
Food was awesome; beef tenderloin cooked perfectly, blue cheese potatoes were incredible, oysters pricey and salty and calamari was for real! Overall great meal, got the bill, it was jaw dropping, next time we will go to Costco ourselves!
We were celebrating a special occasion which was mentioned when the reservation was made, but didn’t get acknowledged until we were departing. I’m a loyal customer, or was but I felt really uneasy when it felt like I was being ridiculed by our waitress, fellow staff, and even the manager/supervisor for using a free entree promotion that I had received for my birthday from the Silo group. Even though this was one of our favorite places to dine before being made feel cheap and unappreciated as a customer, you can’t put a price on feeling like a respected customer. The waiters were whispering amongst themselves while looking at the paper containing the information for the promo they had gifted me and even the manager appeared to scoff at the fact that we were using a “COUPON”. I mean why even give these promos out if that’s how your going to treat the customer for using it. We will have to find a new spot to enjoy a nice evening out or celebrate special occasions, which is sad because before this occasion the food and the service has been pretty darn impeccable. It really doesn’t feel good to feel ashamed and unappreciated for using a promo, they probably won’t ever see another dime from me or my family, or anybody who I talk to about the whole experience. We waited 15-25 minutes after presenting the promotion paper and our form of payment which made us late for an event at the AT&T center, and I’d hate to admit it but it kind of killed the whole vibe for the night I was out celebrating my bday. The manager explained that it wasn’t our servers fault and that there was a system issue and thats why everything was taking so long and asked if we wanted to order another round of drinks, so apparently it was working to ring up drinks & orders still. So this seemed like a total fabrication, seeing how they laughed at the sight of the paper with the promotion. We’ve spent thousands over the years at Silo but that will be the last time we will patronize any of the Silo brands.
I was disappointed with their signature dish, chicken fried oysters. Very little oyster meat mostly dough and overly greasy. I should have sent it back.
Always excellent. A favorite spot regardless of the occasion.
My husband and I celebrated our 41st anniversary at SILOs. The food was fantastic, and we were treated to a bottle of champagne to celebrate the occasion.
Great food, service and setting...exceptional experience overall
Loved this place!
Silo Terrace Oyster Bat, it’s perfection!! Great food, excellent wine and amazing service!! Our favorite place in the neighborhood!!
We started out with great cocktails, the Hemingway was a standout. The oyster sampler showcasing different varieties was fun. Wonderful entrees, and the coconut pie is a must!!!!
