Renovated restaurant in the San Antonio Riverwalk area. Beautifully decorated, calm, elegant decor. My frisée salad had a perfectly poached egg. I shared a ribeye which gave me a normal portion (it amazes me still that someone can eat 14oz steak in one sitting). Beautiful, tender, flavorful meat cooked just right. Guests felt the same. Chocolate mousse was sweetened just right-noticeably less sweet than usual which was perfect after a rich meal. My steak and salad were also noticeably under salted which I also appreciated. Someone in the kitchen has a light touch. Nice wine list. Excellent, well done, well trained service. Pricey $45 steaks so be ready to splurge. I’d do it again.

We have been to Silo before and my husband is a wine connoisseur. We had a new waitress that did not know how to pour a 9 oz glass of wine - was hardly even 6 oz and when he made a comment she just made jokes. Then every dessert we wanted was out and the rooftop bar was closed due to a wedding. Not the best date night experience.

The fondue was too citrusy and not cheesey enough. The sea bass was overlooked.

It was a beautiful evening and the roof top bar was wonderful. Great drinks and beautiful view of downtown.

Outstanding food! - Steaks and seafood were prepared perfectly. Staff was very helpful and professional. The manager checked on us and made sure we were well taken care of. Just a super dining experience! This will be my go to spot going forward!

Excellent ambiance with live music by berni martini. Great date night or group dinner. Lamb was some of the best I have ever had. The attentive service allowed us not to want for anything.

My wife and I went for our first time and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, food, piano player and especially the service! Our server was excellent and the sommelier made a great wine recommendation that was very reasonable.
They also have a new rooftop bar where we finished the evening! Already made reservations again for next week.

The dining experience at Silo Prime was top notch. The appetizers (oysters rockefeller, crab cake) were enjoyed by everyone at the table. The crab cake was large enough for two people. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the side items were plentiful. We finished our meal with sorbet and apple bread pudding. Every menu item was cooked to order and full of flavor.

If I could knock off a half star I would. The service was adequate, but not exceptional. My daughter asked for a lemonade and that wasn't an option. The bar tried to make her a glass of lemonade but it was not very good. However, there was a piano player which enhanced the mood and the food was so good I can not justify taking off a star for not having more non-alcoholic beverages.

Food was good, but pretty expensive for what it was. Our server was chewing gum, didn’t know the features and would disappear for long lengths of time. Any Texas restaurant should offer regular iced tea, but this restaurant only had a raspberry tea? Unacceptable! Our appetizer came out promptly, but it took a very long time to be served our dinner. Over an hour and a half spent all told and we didn’t even have drinks or dessert. Heard patrons around us complaining loudly about the slow service.

Excellent restaurant. The ambiance is part throwback to the fine dining of yesteryear, E.G. live piano and jacketed waitstaff, but with a healthy dose of modern innovation.

The waitstaff and mgmt were incredibly professional and knowledgeable.

As for the food....it was awesome!! Try the seafood fondue and the seabass. Sitting right next to the kitchen we got to watch the Allen bros tomahawk ribeye leave for several tables and it looked nothing short of succulent.

You will not be disappointed!

My husband is a chef so we enjoy eating good food. This restuarant was one of the best meals we have had in downtown SA in a while. The Riverwalk has many upscale establishments but Silo Prime definitely stands above.

Enjoyed our dinner at Silos Prime. The food was very good and service outstanding. We were dining with several couples and it was easy to carry on a conversation with each other. The menu was varied and offered many choices. There is an outdoor bar upstairs which was pleasant also. Definitely would return and mark this as a special occasion restaurant

Went for Culinaria menu. Everyone opted for the Allen Brothers sourced filet which was perfectly cooked. Tried all the sides & loved the brussel sprouts & butter milk mashed potatoes. Creamed spinach & asparagus were not bad either. Too full for dessert so brought it home for later. Matt helped us choose the perfect wine with french onion soup & caesar salad.

First off, the live piano music is a nice idea, but too loud in a smaller room (especially when you're table is somewhat close to it) - difficult to hear conversations at your own table (of only 3 people).

My mother, uncle, & I dined from the restaurant week menu. The French onion soup was the best I've ever had! The flavor was lovely & rich. The Kobe burger was fantastic & delicious! The salmon was cooked to PERFECTION! The skin was crispy and flavorful. The chocolate mousse was a nice end to our meal - flavorful & airy (I prefer the texture to be more creamy & solid, while still light). Our server talked a LOT in the beginning (personal stories, etc)- that's ok sometimes, but we just wanted to get started eating. Once our entrees arrived, we didn't see our server much - LOTS of waiting for refills, dessert, and the check. She seemed to lose a sense of timeliness half way through our meal.

Not a bad place. Good food. The service was adequate; you can tell it was fresh crew—door greeter was not very welcoming and not very knowledgeable about the dining venue. And some minor deficiencies during the dining experience, but the food makes up for the customer service.

We've eaten at Silo Prime several times before. This was a Restaurant Week menu. We were disappointed that instead of featuring their usual Allen and Allen meat, they brought in a "locally sourced" filet for this special menu. This Culinaria menu is identical to the Culinaria menus at 3 other Silo restaurants, so why drive downtown? I recommend they get their own menu next Culinaria Restaurant week, even if they have to charge $45 instead of $35 (the "locally sourced" filet was a $9 surcharge, which would have been fine if it was their usual Allen and Allen prime aged steak.
Service was spotty--we had to ask for bread for instance.
Otherwise it was up to expectations.
We very much like all the Silo restaurants and have eaten hundreds of excellent meals at them. This was hopefully a one-time disappointment.

The experience was amazing from start to finish. We were greeted at the door as soon as we walked in. We were told our table was ready and they didn’t even bat an eye when we requested to have a drink in the bar before being seated. It was fun to watch the bartender make cinnamon infused vodka for guest who requested Hot Damn. Everyone was very attentive from the moment we arrived until we retrieved our car from the Valet. We will definitely go here again.

I ordered the spinach salad which was delicious. My friend ordered the lobster bisque which was weak. She was given a pear salad instead and it was superb. I ordered the ribeye which was cooked to perfection. It was tender and succulent. My friend ordered the tenderloin and it was so charred she had to cut the charred sides of to get to the medium rare part. They brought her another tenderloin which was much better. The dessert was good. The wine was good too. A very good pinot noir. Our waiter was a little inexperience in handling my friend's request but he did confide with the manager and the manager met my friend's every request. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dinner. I truly enjoyed the pianist.
