SILO Ratings and Reviews
I was very skeptical as I find most Germantown restaurants are overrated. And as a whole, they mix and match unique foods but don’t execute very well. I find this restaurant to be the exception. Food was outstanding,And service was very caring. The only complaint I had was that we had to wait for our table even though we had reservations, and there were open tables available. I walked in thinking that I was going to be upset, but thankfully they prove me wrong. I cannot wait to go back to this restaurant, which I cannot say before any of the others in the area. Wonderful job!
What a great brunch and CHEAP! We split the French Toast and Shrimp Étouffée which was full of flavor & pretty traditional and 4 mimosas that were like $5 each. Got a last minute reservation and it's a good thing as it was full by the time we left. Will definitely be back soon to try the house made bagels and black eyed peas rancheros.
Delicious drinks & dinner for our ladies' night. We shared the truffle fries, split pea hummus, lamb meatballs, deviled eggs, and brown butter ricotta dumplings - and still had room for the incredible gluten-free clementine & ginger cream cake!
We love SILO!!! Cheers!
Some friends suggested we try Silo when we were in Nashville. Beautiful restaurant, hospitable staff and the food and drinks were fantastic. The deviled eggs were very original and the ricotta dumplings were great-very rich so it was perfect to split. One person in our group is gluten-free and they we very accomodating. Pretty good by the glass wine selection-lots of varietals included-and reasonably priced.
We are always happy with our experience at Silo, and the last one certainly did not disappoint. Appetizers were wonderful. Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes were great comfort food. Best of all- the entrees. We were thrilled with our steaks and pork chop (best pork chop ever)!
our second visit and first dinner (Sunday Brunch was our first visit) was mostly satisfying. The charcuttery offerings we selected were excellent, with appropriate portion sizes and delicious accompaniments. The entrees we selected from the relatively small number of offerings were also very tasty and presented nicely. Despite the few number of tables occupied, our service was rather indifferent. Overall, we had a good dining experience.
We had the absolute best experience at Silo. Our server Jeff was very knowledgeable and recommended dishes that we would have never ordered. So happy to have him guide us. We absolutely loved the ricotta with sage butter dish as well as the catfish sticks and the mac and cheese was the best I have had I my life!
AMAZING! It was our first experience at SILO. I cannot wait to go back! We had the dumplings, cornbread muffins and gumbo to start. Our entrees: two of us had steak and one had the pork chop and shared the mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. YUM. The dumplings are a MUST. The gumbo had INCREDIBLE flavor. The steak was perfect. The pork chop was a little on the salty side but was completely eaten because wow it was good.. We will definitely be coming back here! YUM. YUM. YUM. It’s been two hours since we left and we’re still talking about the robust flavors.
Very cool, hip restaurant in Germantown but unfortunately me and my husband didn't enjoy the food as much as we hoped. The deviled eggs were awesome as many other reviewers had mentioned. They were probably the highlight of the night. We tried a bunch of appetizers - the lamb meatballs which were a little heavy on the feta and lacking seasoning followed by the smoked sausage and aged white cheddar meats and cheeses. The meat and cheese platter looked amazing and most of it was great but the sausage was very cold and just not that great. We then shared the fried quail which had a great breading & served on fantastic mashed potatoes but the quail was surprising tough so not very easy to eat. All in all the service and the atmosphere was great but we weren't as thrilled with the food.
We loved this place. The ambiance was wonderful. Well lit tables but focused light so the room seemed dark and intimate overall. Noise level was low and conversation was easy. The food was spectacular. Very interesting combinations and options. Try the ricotta appetizer and the shepherd's pie. Both super tasty and different. Someone put a lot of thought into the flavor pairings and it showed. We will definitely be back.
Unfortunately, I forgot our servers name but he was absolutely lovely! There was a minor mistake in order but honestly we didn't mind because he was so wonderful. He had great recommendations. We had the ricotta dumplings (a must), brussels salad, meatballs, truffle fries and brussels. Everything was delicious. My faves were definitely the dumplings and brussels salad. We ordered way too much but loved every bite and took some home.
Was our first time to Silo, birthday. Waitress was slow, tried several tapas they were standard more flavor I think was needed. Drinks was good. Will try Silo again but may sit at the bar instead of table seating. When you walkin that area was really congested with employees standing around talking..seemed more into each other than customers? On a scale of 1-10 I would give a 5..but certainly give a 2nd chance.
What an amazing find! Staff was great and the small plates on the menu are perfect for sharing. Lamb meatballs and ricotta dumplings were outstanding. Bourbon list is huge-probably the best in Nashville. Definitely will return.
Silo was fair but nothing special.
I have noticed that restaurants that focus on getting their clientele to drink a lot salt their food a lot. The saltier the food, the more you drink. Everything was way over salted at Silo!
My husband and I ordered the large plat Blacked Trout, it was overcooked and was very dry. It had a couple of what looked like frozen lemon slices in the middle.
I would love to have another drink there but I would not recommend the food to anyone.
We have been to many restaurants over the years. Silo was incredible. From our incredible drinks to the exquisite appetizers(octopus melted in our mouths) to my filet that I was so delicious that there was not one bite left over for my husband. He had the fried quail and said it was the most amazing dinner he has had. Our pumpkin ice cream and snickerdoodle cookie topped the whole dinner off. Our waitress Miranda was knowledgeable and friendly and the owner Clay came over and chatted with us. Friendly and so proud of what he has done here. We told him it was the most amazing dinner we have had in years...
Run don’t walk to Silo! You won’t be disappointed.
