Rebecca (our server) was attentive and delightful. The Bloody Mary's were especially good. Fantastic brunch all around.
Seated promptly. Service was timely but not overly solicitous. Limited menu but enough selection. We had the short ribs, pork tenderloin, trout, all of which were well prepared and flavorful. Nice neighborhood feel to the place. We would return again.
The dress code on the website was "smart casual" so my husband wore slacks and a shirt. Most people there had on jeans. Our server had on a crumpled flannel shirt and jeans. The website should be changed to casual. The menu was very limited. My husband had the pork tenderloin and it didn't look like it was cooked long enough. I had the braised beef and grits which were good but way overpriced. We will not be going to Silo again or recommending it to anyone else.
Food was sent to the table at room temp (not hot). Very small, limited menu and nothing was memorable. Service was ok. I won’t return.
Hostess was a little rude, but otherwise great experience
Not great. Good atmosphere. Poor service. Over easy eggs were not over easy. Nice presentation. Friendly staff. Cooks deferred issues to the server. Had to ask the server for refills.
One of the worst dining experiences. Poor customer service
First night in Nashville. Can’t wait to come back.
Excellent food, cool vibe, but despite many open tables, our food came way too quickly with no pause between courses. We nicknamed our server “Flash”. Way too rushed experience for no reason as the place was not full on a rainy Thursday evening. Too bad because the food was solid.
Bachelorette/ bachelor party
We love to eat at Silo whenever we’re in Nashville. Great food and fantastic service. The desserts in particular were outstanding!
Honestly, I didn't think it lived up to the hype. I enjoyed the brussel sprouts appetizer, and the deviled eggs and roasted chicken were fine, but the side of broccoli on my plate was tepid and limp at best. I know it sounds petty to jusge on a side of veggies, but it really put a damper on my taste buds.
Excellent meal. The salad, small plates, and entrees we had were all outstanding. And the service was great as well. Silo is our “go to” when we don’t feel like trying something new and want a meal we know will be good.
Truly delicious dinner in every way! Such beautiful space - excellent service - divine cocktails and wine - and AMAZING food. We tried the sushi, the ricotta dumplings, the truffle frites, the chicken, braised beef & dessert. All so fresh, beautifully presented and perfectly seasoned. We can’t wait to come back! 🙌
Fabulous! Great neighborhood restaurant!
I can't rate this place higher than a 3. While most of the food was really good, 3 of us had the Braised Beef with Grits, and mine was completely inedible. The other 2 in our party thought there's was just "ok". That would have been somewhat exceptable (they did comp my entree), but the service was horrible. Water ran out, and was not replaced. We asked for a to-go box for some side dishes, and never got it. By the time we settled our bill, we were just ready to get out of the place.
Most of the other food we had was very good, but the Beef and Grits should not be on the menu! Bone in and full of gristle. The sauce and the grits were ok.
Food was quite good but service was slow and the server was having a bad day which was very obvious. Felt like she was ready to go home and was doing us a favor but being our server.
Overall, a decent meal. The food was pretty good but a bit over priced. Mine in particular was great but my friends didn't love the frittata. We sat outside on the patio, which was perfect. Service was great but nothing to rave about - we had a baby in a high chair and they were very helpful in getting the chair setup outside.
Delicious. Great recommendations by our server! :)
Amazing service by Brad!!!
The menu was somewhat limited. The appetizers were good, but the beef tips over grits were not good.
I would not recommend Silo to others.
Food was great and very quiet. We tried a lot of different dishes and loved each one. It's nice to find a quiet place for a nice meal in Nashville
My mother and mother-in-law had the frittatas and said they didn't have much flavor. My sister had the huevos rancheros not realizing they're on a bed of French fries and said they weren't very good. None of them enjoyed their meals. I had the hot chicken sliders which were great, but the bloody mary was watery and not very flavorful. I don't think any of us would go back.
Great service. Small plates were excellent. The spare ribs large plate not that great.
Was disappointed in the table set up for our group. They were clearly understaffed. Disappointed.
Food was just so-so. I’ve been several times for brunch and the last 2-3 times the food has just been ok. Our waitress seemed to be annoyed/frustrated...maybe just having a tough morning. I’m not saying I won’t come back...just hope it’s back like it was a year or so ago.
Had reservations for a Sunday brunch but had to modify to a later time and they were able to accommodate us! When we got there, we got sat down right away, but there was water already on the table and it was not cold. We asked for water for one girl and had to wait 10 minutes to get it filled and had to ask for our server multiple times. She was not attentive. The place wasn’t that big so wasn't sure why the service was very slow. Food was good though- got the chicken salad sandwich and deviled eggs. They don’t serve anything else then the brunch menu during that time and they have a very limited menu so look ahead of time!
The sushi was the only thing we order which was decent. Everything else was horrid.
I brought eight work colleagues for an impromptu dinner and was thoroughly impressed with the service and quality of food. Would highly recommend.
The deviled eggs were interesting and delicious, as always. Biscuits were boring and too much like bread. Service was so-so. I expect better at Silo.
Would not recommend to picky eaters/ younger crowds. Great for light/sharing dinner to keep cost low because large entrees fall on the pricier side.
SILO was recommended on several occasions by Open Table. We decided to try a brunch, based upon the menu. We were able to secure a last minute reservation. The location is great and we had dined at other nice restaurants in the area. The restaurant was quite busy but we were seated promptly and our server was very attentive despite her heavy workload including a large party nearby. Our drinks and meals were served promptly. My house skillet was very tasty, but my wife was disappointed in her frittata which was somewhat bland. Certainly will plan a return visit to try other selections considering SILO's great ratings.
Rebecca was the sweetest most attentive server ever! Keep rocking it girl!!
Love the diversity of the menu.
The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars on every level: There were 3 of us celebrating our birthdays together. I wrote on the reservation form that we were celebrating 3 birthdays. An hour before our reservation I dropped off a table decoration with a big balloon that said "Happy Birthday". The hostess obviously knew it was a birthday celebration. The server commented on the fact that it was a birthday celebration. Nevertheless, the restaurant did nothing to acknowledge the birthday celebration. Not even a single dessert to be shared.
We enjoyed our first visit to Silo for our anniversary! The food was very good. We will be back!
It was great really enjoyed the atmosphere. Our waitress was also very attentive.
Everything was fantastic - the food, service, and ambiance. We will definitely be eating here again.
The hostess was rude. We had a reservation for 2 people but ended up having another person join us. She looked at the empty dining room and said since you have a reservation for two people and you have a third, there’s not enough room inside. You’ll have to sit at the bar or outside. There was one table that had people at it. I thought maybe they had full reservations, but even when we left there were still multiple tables empty.
Service was terrible. We were the first people there for brunch at 10:30 when it was supposed to open, but they didn’t open does until 10:40. We sat down and not one person came to the table after we were seated for at least 10 min. Then our drink orders were completely messed up. Food was mediocre.
Atmosphere was cute. Only thing I can really say good about it.
