Truly avoid, unless only going for drinks. Overly ambitious and complicated dishes that are not executed well at all. Lacks appealing taste; dishes were often under seasoned; and fusion of influences are confused and unexplained.
Food was excellent!
I would recommend it to a friend if they liked cocktails as they looked interesting. I am not a drinker so I did not order one. The food was ok, not terrific. The service was fine. I have been eating out for a long time and SILO was ok, but not special to me. I would go with a friend again if they selected it, but I would not suggest it for a return dining experience.
Food was a little misleading from the website to when we arrived with a reservation. Some of the items we were coming in for were “bar only options” this was not listed on the online menu that I noticed. The waitress was kind enough to let us order one of the items. I would not recommend this restaurant for a family or if you have teenagers.
If your going on a date or to hang out with friends and want a nice meal with a easy chill ambiance this is a great place. Servers were nice an attentive. Food was definitely fresh and creative.
Classy, chill atmosphere. Ideal for a brunch date on Saturday. Excellent coffee as well. The coffee creamer looked high grade as well. No artificial creamer. The waiter was friendly, yet not intrusive. I’d go again.
It’s one of my favorite brunch spots. And the food is always fantastic but my frittata was a little underseasoned. Our service wasn’t very good. I needed another minute to look over the menu and for 15 minutes, our server chatted it up with the hostess. My coffee was cold before I could find her again to get it topped off. I also didn’t like that the hostess was on her phone when we left. If I hadn’t said, “thank you have a nice day” on our way out I’m not sure she would’ve noticed us.
Service was excellent. Skyler was really friendly and knowledgeable. Loved the Pappardelle and the Brussels sprouts.
The small plates and the pasta bolognese were amazing!!!
A heaven away from the noise of Broadway! Great food and really great service!
Silo was so delicious. My husband and I shared a few appetizers and dessert. It was the perfect amount of food. We would have totally gone again if our stay in Nashville would have been longer. We will definitely be stopping by the next time we are in town.
Everything about our dinner was wonderful! We made reservations which is recommended. We were seated at a nice table and even though the place filled quickly we never felt crowded. Each dish is unique in taste and the presentation very simple but artful. We are still talking about the meal today. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the wine, dishes and the local area! Would go back again in a heatbeat
Silo is located on a corner in a quiet part of Germantown. Very pretty inside, nice ambiance, nicely lit. The menu worried me at first because I wasn’t sure how well the small plates would mesh, and we had 2 picky eaters out of 4. But what we got was fabulous, especially the lemony Brussels sprouts and ricotta dumplings. Two of us got soup also. The restaurant is touted as “seasonal southern food,” so I just had to try catfish as my entree. It was exceptional. Good drinks, decent wine menu; there could have been a few more whites from which to choose. But overall a fabulous dining experience.
Great small plates, limited drink menu (but has a full bar so I’m sure can make whatever you want), great restaurant but so many amazing options in Nashville and would not put Silo at the top.
We loved SILO. None of us had been there before and everything was perfect. The atmosphere made it possible to have a conversation without shouting over each other. The food was delicious and not your typical "new American" fare. The flavors were fresh and unfussy. The service was great, too! Maybe the best ice cream I've had.
Everything we had at Silo was delicious. It was our third time here and it didn't disappoint. Highly recommend the parmesan truffle frites or the fried brussel sprouts as an appetizer, and be sure to try their mac & cheese as a side. Their cocktails were also very, very good, and both of our entrees were cooked perfectly.
Rebecca (our server) was attentive and delightful. The Bloody Mary's were especially good. Fantastic brunch all around.
Great food and great service, just really loud where we were sitting, but a good local place in a great neighborhood.
Service nice but slow. Food good but they would not serve you sushi unless you sat at the bar...disappointing.
Seated promptly. Service was timely but not overly solicitous. Limited menu but enough selection. We had the short ribs, pork tenderloin, trout, all of which were well prepared and flavorful. Nice neighborhood feel to the place. We would return again.
The dress code on the website was "smart casual" so my husband wore slacks and a shirt. Most people there had on jeans. Our server had on a crumpled flannel shirt and jeans. The website should be changed to casual. The menu was very limited. My husband had the pork tenderloin and it didn't look like it was cooked long enough. I had the braised beef and grits which were good but way overpriced. We will not be going to Silo again or recommending it to anyone else.
Food was sent to the table at room temp (not hot). Very small, limited menu and nothing was memorable. Service was ok. I won’t return.
Hostess was a little rude, but otherwise great experience
Not great. Good atmosphere. Poor service. Over easy eggs were not over easy. Nice presentation. Friendly staff. Cooks deferred issues to the server. Had to ask the server for refills.
One of the worst dining experiences. Poor customer service
First night in Nashville. Can’t wait to come back.
Excellent food, cool vibe, but despite many open tables, our food came way too quickly with no pause between courses. We nicknamed our server “Flash”. Way too rushed experience for no reason as the place was not full on a rainy Thursday evening. Too bad because the food was solid.
Bachelorette/ bachelor party
We love to eat at Silo whenever we’re in Nashville. Great food and fantastic service. The desserts in particular were outstanding!
Honestly, I didn't think it lived up to the hype. I enjoyed the brussel sprouts appetizer, and the deviled eggs and roasted chicken were fine, but the side of broccoli on my plate was tepid and limp at best. I know it sounds petty to jusge on a side of veggies, but it really put a damper on my taste buds.
Excellent meal. The salad, small plates, and entrees we had were all outstanding. And the service was great as well. Silo is our “go to” when we don’t feel like trying something new and want a meal we know will be good.
Truly delicious dinner in every way! Such beautiful space - excellent service - divine cocktails and wine - and AMAZING food. We tried the sushi, the ricotta dumplings, the truffle frites, the chicken, braised beef & dessert. All so fresh, beautifully presented and perfectly seasoned. We can’t wait to come back! 🙌
Fabulous! Great neighborhood restaurant!
I can't rate this place higher than a 3. While most of the food was really good, 3 of us had the Braised Beef with Grits, and mine was completely inedible. The other 2 in our party thought there's was just "ok". That would have been somewhat exceptable (they did comp my entree), but the service was horrible. Water ran out, and was not replaced. We asked for a to-go box for some side dishes, and never got it. By the time we settled our bill, we were just ready to get out of the place.
Most of the other food we had was very good, but the Beef and Grits should not be on the menu! Bone in and full of gristle. The sauce and the grits were ok.
I am a matchmaker so accurate reservations are key when you have a blind date. They handled everything perfectly, the food/ambiance/noise level were great for a first date. Thank you.
Food was quite good but service was slow and the server was having a bad day which was very obvious. Felt like she was ready to go home and was doing us a favor but being our server.
Overall, a decent meal. The food was pretty good but a bit over priced. Mine in particular was great but my friends didn't love the frittata. We sat outside on the patio, which was perfect. Service was great but nothing to rave about - we had a baby in a high chair and they were very helpful in getting the chair setup outside.
Delicious. Great recommendations by our server! :)
Amazing service by Brad!!!
The menu was somewhat limited. The appetizers were good, but the beef tips over grits were not good.
I would not recommend Silo to others.
