We had a great anniversary dinner.
Came in from Dallas to get away and tried Silo. Delicious entree’s with amazing service and ambiance.
Always an enjoyable occasion! I met a colleague for lunch, obtained the quiet table I had requested. Overall noise level was moderate & did not interfere. Food & service were great as always. My colleague requested a substitution which was gladly accommodated & very well implemented. I will be back -- have been there a number of times. This was my colleagues's first visit there & she plans to return also.
Enjoyed lunch there! - great service and salads were excellent!
Great staff, delicious food as always!
VERY NICE AS ALWAYS AND THE FOOD IS CONSISTENT, AS WITH THE SILOS, NONNA, ETC.
The food was ok not great. My salmon was over cooked and did not have much flavor.
Great experience! Only thing to be aware of is the menu that you see on Open Table is not up to date.
It’s my favorite restaurant, which my employees know. They bought me a gift card to Silo, so I took my wife on another date. We had the best server who was very knowledgeable, attentive, and conscientious of mine and my wife’s time having conversation and would simply pass by and do a simple visional check when he noticed instead of interrupting. We are in an industry of customer service and were also impressed with his patience and prompt attention to all of his tables.
Great ambiance, top notch staff and delicious plates made this place a really enjoyable evenings out with family. Hands down best crab cake in town for my taste and the scallop plate was amazing. Everything was prepared to perfection with really innovative presentation and flavors. Wine selection is impressive too. I really appreciate a place that focuses on the small details and strives to make you feel welcome, and this place really hits the mark! We’ll be back again soon!
Great place for lunch meeting with a friend, colleague or for a Birthday Celebration. Was there to celebrate a friend's Birthday -- she had never been there, like everything & will be back on her own. Great service. Very welcoming & friendly without being intrusive. Giving us all the time to review menu etc while we started talking about . . . whatever. I will be back for sure & so will my friend.
Lesson learned...never order a burger there! The meals, salads and desserts were all terrific. I. however, ordered the Angus burger and it was disgusting. I ate one bite and left everything else. I asked my husband to taste it and he agreed that it was the worst tasting meat he had ever eaten. We are long term and loyal Silo customers and have never before had a bad meal. That was why we chose to bring our out of town guests (VA and MI) there for lunch. They had Prix Fixe dinners of oysters and salmon and loved it.
Birthday for my friend. Server was fantastic
We initially went for a Sunday brunch and were pleasantly surprised at the level of quality… We have subsequently returned with friends and will be making this one of our regular stops… The unique nature of the menu is amazing and provides an exceptional culinary experience… Highly recommend it !!!
Silo never disappoints! Our server was very knowledgeable and had excellent recommendations for everything from food to wine and cocktails. We will keep coming back!
Great birthday dinner. Staff was wonderful and the food was outstanding as always.
Went to Silo’s after church for Sunday Brunch. Had a wonderful meal and the service was excellent.
Our favorite restaurant in San Antonio. Saturday night was a little busier and noisier than usual. Food was well-prepared, as always. Wine is somewhat pricey--probably because of their routine Tuesday night 1/2 price wine specials?
Food was average. Limited uninspired lunch menu. Dinner is much better.
We had a wonderful experience. Atmosphere was quiet and intimate. The food was great. When we go to San Antonio again we will be journey back to Silo.
Our Server Lori was spectacular. cant wait to go back
Everything was off the "BOOKS" good. The food. The service. You name it and it was good.
Great service and great food... we always enjoy going to Silo for birthdays
Excellent experience, great atmosphere, excellent service, excellent recipes. I had the muscles, ribeye and mac & cheese. My least favorite was the mac & cheese… Needed more seasoning and more cheese.
Excellent service with attentive and professional servers. Food was amazing in presentation and taste. Highly recommended.
My husband and I went for our Anniversary and it was half price off wine. It was a Monday evening. I ordered the beet and arugula salad. It was the most amazing salad. My husband loves their spinach salad. I had the shrimp and grits which was so tasty.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. My wife's fish was perfect and I had rack of lamb cooked to perfection. It was a great experience!
Consistently good food, service, and ambiance.
A favorite that we go to frequently. It is one of the few very good dependable quality restaurants in San Antonio
The food was amazing. Excellent quality, excellent flavor, excellent plating. My wife had the roast chicken and the Jus was so good it elevated the fairly simple dish to a new level of excellence. I had the pan seared red fish with Israeli couscous with roasted tomatoes and lump crab meat which was amazingly creamy and rich.
I regret to say that the food was a mixed experience last night. Silo has always been a favorite of ours but this bad experience may change that.
The salads were good. It was the shrimp and grits entree one of us had that was terrible. The shrimp were over cooked and were not fresh. Very disappointed. I did not make an issue of this during dinner so as not to ruin the evening.
With a miss like this I am wondering if Silo is slipping.
Everything about this place is exceptional. Ambience is beautiful, exceptional service, and of course, outstanding food. Pork shank is a must, and the scallops are to die for. Already planning our next visit!
I always have good experience when I come to Silo for either brunch or dinner. The food is consistently good and the service is excellent.
Horrible food, not good service. They are clearly phoning it in at this point.
Great food and service. It was on a Tuesday, so maybe that’s the reason for a slight lack of ambiance. We loved it. Food was awesome. Service was as awesome as the food.
When we booked our reservation, we were asked if it was for a special occasion. We said it was for a birthday but there was no acknowledgement of that fact at any time during the meal. Not sure why they asked. Other than that, the experience was, as usual, very good. The food has always been excellent.
We were early for our reservation and they were still able to sit us right away. Great sever and our food was delicious. Definitely will return
Excellent service and the food was so savory! Enjoyed the long eve!
I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful experience for my birthday. We arrived a little early but were sat right away. The service and food were excellent and we will definitely be back!
The Restaurant week menu was excellent and the wine pairings were devine! Was seated next to a quad of ladies who were obviously celebrating an occasion and enjoyed a loud guffaw from time to time. But overall, a wonderful dining experience.
My husband and I went for a birthday celebration during restaurant week. We chose the fried oyster appetizer, pork chop and chocolate mousse as our selections. Oysters were small and a little chewy, but nice presentation and good flavor. Pork chop was very good as was the dessert. We had the best waitress, Sylvia. She exceeded our expectations with superb service. She even brought us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our upcoming anniversary. All in all, it was a very enjoyable dining experience.
