Food was very good. Little pricey.
Great ambiance, amazing food. We had a wonderful time.
Restaurant Week was a good time to go to the Silo.
What a delightful Monday night dinner at Silo’s 1604. The dinner on the special Restaurant Week menu was outstanding and I am very glad i took advantage of the offer. The choices were outstanding and I had an excellent waitress. If you happen to like fried oysters, Silo’s have some of the best in town. For my entree I selected the pork chop with mushroom Madeira sauce and braised greens and cheese grits. This was a delicious combination and cooked perfectly. The portion of pork shop was so generous that I finished the meat for lunch the next day. For dessert the raspberry and lemon sorbets hit the spot. I definitely would go back and enjoy the exact same selections.
The food was very bland... everything from the cold Avocado soup which should not have even been on the menu. It was like eating a cold bland bowl of cream of guacamole soup.
I sent it back and tried the spinach salad. The idea was ok, but poorly executed. Because the dressing was so scarce, the salad’s ingredients did not merry well at all.
My main course should have been a no-brainer...I ordered the sirloin strip with mashed potatoes. Where do I begin? The sirloin was over cooked, should’ve been rare and it lacked no flavor of seasoning...just chargrilled meat. The ultimate let down was the brown reduction... it was SWEET! It totally threw me off. A sweet steak on bed of now sweet mashed potatoes. I tried to eat around the “glaze”, but couldn’t stomach it. I had my mouth all worked up for a savory steak with potatoes.
We then decided to stay and chat even after having no meal...so I ordered two several glasses of “house” Cabernet only to find out that their ”house” Cabernet was $12 per glass. Like really?
So, I ended up paying more for our glasses of wine than I would’ve paid for both of our meals together!
I am am very disappointed considering I’ve been wanting to come to Silo for quite some time now! Needless to say, I will not be returning!
I love the food, great service, a beautiful restaurant, great price. What more can you ask for.
From the service, food, and ambiance all was a great experience.
For lunch - food was very good. Had a fairly large menu with some brunch items on a Saturday. As more people came in it became louder but overall comfortable to have a leisurely lunch. Service was good and the food was very good. The lunchtime price point was reasonable.
Outstanding value on fix pris menu for lunch!
The service was outstanding, and so was the food! We got the Pork Shank and the Oysters. Will definitely be going back!!
Celebrated my wife's birthday at her favorite restaurant. Great experience as usual.
Excellent experience just a night out and the food and service were superb!
Silo has a wonderful Sunday Brunch menu. It was a very relaxing, elegant menu. Everything was delicious as always and the service was perfect!!
We visited SILO Elevate Cuisine, on Hwy 1604, in San Antonio, on Sunday afternoon, for brunch. It was a pleasant experience. Good food, great service and nice ambience. I would like to mention, our server, Vonn. He was attentive, accommodating and made our dining experience memorable. We will definitely be returning.
Great food and great service
As always excellent choice on food menu. Good wine selection too. Superb service from Hilary our server. Made for a excellent celebration of our 60th wedding anniversary.
Pricey but great experience. I would definitely recommend
We love Silo! Service is always flawless, never intrusive. We shared the chicken fried oysters (a must!) and the tomahawk feature. Best decision ever! Our server recommended the perfect wine to complement our meal. We finished with port and chocolate mousse. We can’t wait to return!
Nothing short of excellent service and food. The elevated margarita is fantastic!
Thanks again Silo. This is our favorite restaurant. Just an absolute quality product from top to bottom. Delicious food. Fantastic service. Can’t wait for our next visit!
A birthday Lunch for a dear friend. Great service, great food. And a celebratory birthday dessert, on the house, for the honoree.
Great event & place. Highly recommend it.
Consistent quality and great service!
Always a lovely choice for a meal. Lunch, dinner, and brunch are consistent winners regardless of individual food preferences. There is plenty on the menu that will satisfy even the pickiest eaters. Another slice of the coconut cream pie/tort please!
We are "regulars" at Silo. Consistently good, as are its other restaurants. This was a slow Monday evening and the service was a little slow, but we didn't mind. Try their "before 6:30" Prix Fixe menus for good value.
Excellent food and service. Great experience for my wife and I.
Had a lovely birthday celebration for a dear friend at lunch. Food and service were great!
While the food is reliably wonderful, the service was unacceptably slow (we had to wait 30 min. to receive menus and water) and inattentive. The high noise level in this restaurant is very annoying.
Always top notch. Need to more often. Lunch was outstanding and great value.
This is an attractively appointed dining space with delicious food (crispy calamari and beet & goat cheese salad appetizers, and sesame crusted sea bass w/pork belly fried rice), and cider braised kurobota pork shank w/green chile mac and cheese entrees).
Service was excellent, and SILO 1604 does not gouge you on the wine prices.
First time to this Silo, have been many time to one on Austin HWY. This location ha a very nice restaurant and service was great, welcomed and seated, Savanah, our server was very knowledgeable of the menu. That trait is a must for us as we often ask lots of questions bout the menu as we are adventurous and always want to try new things. Added this to our favorite list for the future.
This is my favorite restaurant. Service was so great. I think her name was Taylor. Food is always perfect. Easily the best place for an anniversary dinner. Highly highly recommend.
Great for a dates, family gathering, birthday occasions.
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
We really appreciated the assistance of the sommelier. He was able to steer us to an excellent bottle of Spanish red, that was nicely in our price range. The food was, of course, delicious. And the service was top notch. I left my cell phone on the table, but they took the time to call me to get it returned.
very quiet and elegant. the actual restaurant is on the second floor so you take an elevator up. food was delicious and very short wait time.
This was a belated birthday celebration with a close girlfriend. We both enjoy Silo and look forward to sharing our lunches there. The salmon was excellent and we both remarked that we were asked how we liked it cooked. I don't recall this in the past, but really appreciated it. There are some upscale restaurants that have chefs who get upset when customers want the salmon cooked too much. So thank you to the chef, please! Silo wants their customers happy and we like that. The only complaint we have is not a new one but that we have to ask for the bread! "by request only" is so very tacky!!!! Shame on management for making this decision. That's one thing that makes an upscale restaurant special, and you have taken that away from the customer. Think about it. I will not get used to it either. We have been coming to Silo since we moved here in 2011 and I was introduced to it during a trip before that.
Service very good as was the food. Restaurant was very warm and having trouble cooling the interior. It was hit enough you didn’t want to linger over your meal.
Always enjoy having Sunday brunch here. Our sever was wonderful and very attentive. Food was great though a little slow on serving but this may be due to one in the group was having well done steak! Otherwise, looking forward to visiting again soon.
Excellent service and dinner met all our expectations.
My wife and I always enjoy our evening out when we spend it at Silo. Atmosphere is wonderful, service is fantastic and the food is consistently excellent.
