Silo never disappoints! Service was great. Food is always consistent. We will be back!
The best steakhouse in Stone Oak without going to a steakhouse?
We ordered the Cowboy ribeye off menu special. Our server was so helpful with the wine selection, recommended Honig Cabernet the perfect wine with our dinner. Our server did a top notch job we will definitely come back.
JUST WOW! We have dined at many upscale restaurants across the country. Silo gave us one of, if not the best, experiences we can remember. The fried oysters are a must. My Ribeye and shrimp surf n turf was incredible! Just absolute quality! Wine list was extensive and varied. Can’t wait for our next visit!
First time at this location for a special occasion. Food was quality and plentiful. Great beer and wine choice. Everything was first class and can't wait to visit again!
Such an excellent experience. This was the second trip to Silo and it was truly just as good as the first, actually better since I chose a better wine this time- The Quilt Cabernet 2016
Lexi is an excellent component of wait staff. The mussels, spring roll and creme brûlée are still excellent. We both had the rainbow trout this time, a special of the day.
The food was all excellent, but it seemed to take forever. 15 minutes to be first waited upon? Then 20 minutes for the steamed mussel appetizer, then 20 more more salads, then 20 more for entrees, and 15 more to request the check. I had to wave both arms to get our waiters attention.
Regular patrons of Silo.
First time trying the Eggs Benedict and also ordered bacon on the side.
The Eggs Benedict was just "ok," nothing special ad the bacon was rather thin. Perhaps I was expecting a thicker slice of bacon.
Otherwise, Silo one of our favorite restaurants.
Greeted when we arrived and seated. Our server took drink order and informed us of Specials.Food was delicious and service was outstanding. This is our 4th visit to Silo and will return.
Silo has always been our favorite place for special occasions. We don't go out without the kids often so we try to treat ourselves. The service was good (except bread was forgotten), the description of the menu items was great, our server allowed us to enjoy the meal vs rush is out, the wine was delicious and the food was outstanding. Our main complaint was that the special surf and turf entrée was a little more than double the price of the ribeye entrée. It was our mistake to not ask what the price was for the special because specials are always a little more than standard menu items, however, we didn't ever expect it to be over 95.00 - that's insane for a steak and 2 shrimp. I work in the industry - in a hotel no doubt which are notorious for being expensive - and my plated dinners start at 95.00 which includes the salad and the dessert. We were just floored when we received the bill. Regardless, though, the experience was lovely overall. Silo is still our favorite place but we will have to take pause when we choose to come again - to make sure we have the meal budgeted.
1st & 4most, very delicious. 2nd staff professional. 3rd made 4 s lovely nite out. Thx
It was wonderful
Server didn't know the specials well. Stumbled through them and was very uncomfortable.
Silo 1604 is always on point. The duck spring rolls are amazing and family favorite. They are the best. Our crab cake and shrimp were prepared perfectly. All of the Silo locations are a great value for the quality of food and service.
While my husband's pork shank was well prepared, two of my fried oysters in Silo's "signature dish" were unplatable with the texture of pencil erasers. They rest had little flavor. Waitstaff was polite and attentive, but this does not make up for being charged an extra $1.50 for requesting olives in my martini. Really??? I was also charged an extra $3 for Beefeater gin in the martini although I made no such request. What kind of restaurant tacks on such charges thinking the diner will not notice? This is the second time in a year that this pattern of tacit overcharging has occurred when my friends and I have dined here. We will not be back.
The food and service are always excellent, but like many other high dollar San Antonio restaurants, it is very loud in there which takes away any good ambience and makes it seem like a sports bar.
Very nice place to share a meal. Quite enough to have a conversation and open enough to keep it private. The staff does a great job of making you feel welcome.
You can always count on Silo for a fine meal, good service and consistency.
Very nice experience.
Lovely ambiance, attentive staff, awesome and meticulously prepared food! We will be back!
It was my first time dining at Silo and I was very pleasantly surprised. We received great service from Adam, he gave us more attention than most other restaurants, and he was very friendly. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very pleasing. We will return I am certain!
The chef’s finesse with presentation and flavors on the vegan entre’ is incredible. Although, I would like to see one more vegan entre’ added.
Based on flavor alone I think this restaurant should be among the most expensive.
This restaurant should be rated/listed as a 5 star dining experience. SILO on 1604 delivers a suit jacket type experience for the casual dresser.
Adam was possibly the best server we have had in all of San Antonio!
Customer service was excellent and the food was delicious.
From the moment we were greated getting off the elevator until the minute we departed we were treated like family. It was a very pleasant experience and Erik made the experience even more special. For 1/2 of the party it was the first time there and everything was explained in great detail. Thank you for making my daughter’s birthday dinner very special.
Hostess seemed a little out of it. We had to wait approximately 10 minutes while the hostess confirmed the table was ready. Great service from our waitress. The spinach salad with dried fruit was wonderful as was the duck. Others in my party had a filet and ribeye which were both tasty. The apple bread pudding was one of the best desserts I've had in a long time! Very light for bread pudding. I would come back for the dessert alone.
I took my 18 year old grandson, and we were both very impressed with our dinners. We will most certainly be back.
One of the best restaurants in San Antonio. Top quality in every aspect of our dining experience. The service is always outstanding, great wine selection, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is fantastic. I highly recommend Silo to everyone. You won't be disappointed.
My husband and I are on a gluten free, grain free, dairy free diet and sometimes eating out can be a bit of a science project. With some very subtle changes we had a very delicious meal of two appetizers and two entrees - we couldn't have managed a dessert, even if we wanted to.
It is time for an update to the decor. And bring in some nature! Something living and green. Plants, flowers....The ladies restroom was a mess! Food delicious, but dinner was a little like warm.
I think my signature says all there is to say. They do it right here, more so than any of their other restaurants in their stable (or whatever you call a same-owner bunch of restaurants.)
Fantastic food, great service, and a great night out. The price is what I expect for the caliber of food and the caliber of service. Definitely worth going again!
We had a party of 6 for brunch on Sunday. The food and service was outstanding. I don’t know why we don’t go there more often. Great meal and experience!
We enjoyed every second of dinner. Savannah took great care of us. We will come back and ask for her.
It was a great place to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The customer service was excellent. The quantity and quality of the food was just right.
After being greeted by a smiling hostess, we went up the elevator to their beautiful dining room. Amazing food (pork tenderloin and scallops were divine) and great service. We always leave so happy!! Thx again Silo!
We moved here 2011 and have been coming to Silo since! First during a visit in 2008 but didn't remember the name of the restaurant. But I found it again! Come for special occasions and also just girlfriend visits. I am having a health issue right now and have to watch what I eat that will make things much worse for me. So I expressed this to the waiter. She did come back to say the chef could not accommodate me with what i had chosen. So I picked the salmon and they were able to accommodate my request. No spices and veggies. Also a Ceasar salad. I had no problems from any of it and it was excellent! Also, please note, the waiter was VERY Helpful and KIND. I did express my thanks and also reflected that in her tip. This is why I continue to return and recommend your establishment. TOP NOTCH with everything.
We’ve enjoyed our dinners in the past. Our last visit not so much. Some of the food came from kitchen cold, not hot, or warm, but cold. Sadly we had always had a great experience at this location.
Well the hostess working on February 16,2019. Was so rude and unfriendly. We had a 700pm reservation. She made us wait while she sat people who came after us that had a 715pm reservation. Other that her we had a wonderful evening. It was a bit loud in the restaurant but over still good
We have dined at all the Stone Oak restaurants and Silo is the best in my opinion.
Upon our arrival the staff were so kind and helpful to me and my elderly father. This restaurant gets five stars for the quality of the cuisine and the hospitality of the server and manager.
Try the pork tenderloin it was cooked to perfection. Coconut cream pie extraordinary
