Four rooms feature Chinese-inspired tapestry and walls decked in richly detailed wood carvings, and views of the Yarra River. The fifth private dining room – the Mongolian tent – induces sheer awe.     Opposite of SPECIAL. WOULD have gone to FLOWER DRUM but needed LUNCH BAD TEQUILA. top one just tasted like water Ordered BOKCHOY. SERVED ALMOST RAW brocollini stalked Tiny serve of lobster about a few ounces, not live as menu said Overpriced at tiny probably claw serve $260 Chicken and lamb over fried, VEG SPRING ROLLS only enjoyment Fried rice POOR. THIS PLACE HAS LOST IT.

    The food was nice also there was a good gap between the courses I had oysters prawn toast also crab with cheese and then for the main meal japanese scallops with steamed rice and then for desert red bean pancakes with fairy floss and to drink a apple cider a corona beer and strawberry daqueri and all up the bill come to 220 dollars and staff real pleasant

    The quality of the food and the service is great, the menu is small but there’s plenty of different items to chose from. Would recommend to anyone looking for that upper level experience.

    I think that over the years the general appearance of the restaurant has declined. The decor needs a revamp. In terms of food we were extremely disappointed of the overall quality as Silks used to be as good as the Flower Drum and great for a special occasion. Not this Christmas Day. Very disappointing First entree was warm and the fish was dried out. Had been plated up and sitting on the bench for far too long. Oyster was warm. Value for money wasn’t justified. Wait staff were attentive.

    Service was appalling. Ordered lobster and a scallop dish and was asked to prove we could pay for it before they would prepare the food. The restaurant had an abundance of staff but we had to ask for utensils to crack open the lobster claws and change of hand towels or plates during the meal. Food quality was good but a pity that the experience was completely undermined by poor service. Will not be returning again.

    Service 10/10. Ambiance 9/10. Food quality 7/10. The steamed Barramundi was not cooked well, some part was still .. frozen? which suggested it might not be a live fish. Peking duck: the pancake slices used were too thick. Food quality definitely needs to be improved for sure if you want to hold the name.

    Loved the food and ambiance. Service was excellent with a small criticism that my hand towel was not replaced after the wait staff spilled sauce on it. I have always enjoyed my previous visits at Silks but have not been seated by the window before...the view is amazing and simply enhanced the overall dining experience. Looking forward to dining in again.
