Signature, Inspired by Chef Andrew Weissman
The menu is straightforward and beguiling, featuring Andrew’s contemporary interpretations of classic dishes — fresher, brighter versions of traditional cuisine enlivened with unconventional Texas spirit. Gulf seafood conspires with Atlantic Coast oysters flown in fresh, house-aged sirloin easily holds its own with Pacific Northwest lamb, and the Hill Country is well-represented with venison, dove and quail. Local and organic ingredients change the menu as the seasons peak and wane, but the constants are quality, flavor, artistry in the kitchen and a warm welcome when you walk in the door.
Dinner: Tuesday-Saturday 5:30-10 pm, Sunday 5:30-9 pm
Brunch: Sunday 10:30-2 pm
Great food, but the service was the highlight. Really friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff.
The food was amazing, and the service was even better. I was impressed at how diligently & quietly the kitchen worked. Our waiter was knowledgeable & wonderful. I loved watching the team work so hard to create an incredible environment
Excellent! Delicious Cocktails and wines. Food and service is superb, a very enjoyable evening.
Sunday brunch is fantastic! The drinks were beyond exquisite. Definitely making plans to return for dinner. This is a perfect choice for celebrating with a love one.
Amazing! Food and service are top notch.
An incredible establishment. Everything was fresh and everyone was very attentive.
OMG! Everything was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!!
Great food and service! Really nice view and restaurant!
This was a fine dining experience! EVERYTHING was superb. Starting with the valet, the hotess, the view from our table, our waiter, our drinks & then the FOOD!! I had the tenderloin & it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the fish special & it was equally as delicious. One of the best meals that we had in a while. Loved the entire experience.
All ways a great meal
Impeccable service, gracious and efficient staff, stunning presentation. Innovative cuisine.
It was fabulous! Absolutely delicious and memorable! Waitstaff is impeccable! Chef is amazing!!! Will return again and again though a bit overpriced.
Service was great and food was delicious!
Michael and his staff made our special birthday celebration an exceptional experience and we will be back to enjoy this wonderful restaurant soon.
We'd been to other Weissman restaurants (I will always remember our first dinner at Le Reve in 2003) over the years, and we'd been to happy hour at Signature, but this was our first dinner there, for our anniversary. Everything was delicious. It's all priced higher than it needs to be; it's more expensive than Bliss, our go-to fine dining spot. But it was a treat. I had oysters, and the snapper with the crab cake. My husband had the onion tart and the lamb. We split the donuts and coffee dessert. I had a spectacular after-dinner cocktail with cold brew, bourbon, and a cherry liqueur. It was lovely.
This was our first time at Signature. We've been very impressed with other venues from Andrew Weissman. We really enjoyed Signature. The food and service were top-notch. The ambiance is rustic chic. Since our reservation was early evening we did not get to see the place after the sun went down. That would probably actually improve the ambiance. I had read other reviews complaining about the noise level. The restaurant was full when we were there but the noise level was fine for personal conversation.
I had the lamb Osso Bucco and it was very good. Very tender and perfectly prepared. I would definitely get it again when it's on the menu. My wife had the Tournedo which she also enjoyed. For starters my wife went with the onion taste and she loved it. I got the risotto and would do it again. Very good.
All in all this was an enjoyable evening of fine food and service.
Had a wonderful time. Loved the Tuna!
Hands down the best restaurant in San Antonio. The way the staff interacts with the clientele is priceless. Our waiter was not very intrusive which I appreciate. He was so pleasant and just perfect. Thank you Signature for true dining pleasure.
We were not disappointed! The entire evening lived up to our expectations.
Outstanding service, food and over all experience. We ate here two nights in a row because we loved it so much! Would be the sole reason to fly back to San Antonio.
It was too loud. The noise made it incredibly difficult to talk. Go there for the wonderful food and service but not for conversation.
Great service, good wine, great food and wonderful presentation. Wonderful opportunity to see a beautiful sunset and fireworks. Waitress and staff were outstanding correcting a food order very quickly. Our guests were very pleased.
Went to celebrate 46th anniversary. Expected the restaurant would be more than a casual restaurant with high prices. Not a bit romantic and too loud. Food was good but not worth the lack of ambience. Service was very good until the crowd picked up then it deteriorated to just average. I expect more when I pay more.
This ambiance, food, and service is impeccable, highly recommend!
Celebrated Father’s day with my spouse; thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening. We were not rushed one bit and were given enough time between courses to enjoy good conversation. The entire staff were professional and attentive Definitely coming back again. One suggestion would be to have smaller sized wood boards for the charcuterie tray when sitting at a table for two and it takes over the table.
Fathers day brunch was awesome, definitely our regular brunch spot from now on. We loved it.
Went for Father’s Day brunch. Food was tasty, cut little restaurant.
We have enjoyed dinner and brunch at Signature on several occasions. It has always been great. Service and food are exceptional, atmosphere is comfortable while being upscale.
I just returned from 2 weeks in Paris. The fois gras I had at Signature was better than that I had at an Alain Ducasse restaurant there, which I thought at the time was the best I’d had. Service was impeccable, front of the house, Mr. McClelland, was attentive, and the full staff was ready for any request by guests. I understand many of the regular kitchen staff was in France at the time. Perhaps for that reason the one fault I had was with my entree. My duck was a bit overdone and there were several tough spots. I imagine this is a rarity. Overall, excellent and we plan to return.
Staff always goes above and beyond for us at Signature. W
My husband even received a signed birthday card from all of the staff! We always feel so cared for. Hands down our favorite dining experience.
Fantastic service and food quality from start to finish. One of the best meals this New Yorker has in quite a long time. Erin, our server, was top notch ! The onion tart stole the appetizer show. The duck breast was insanely good. I am pleasantly stunned by all Signature has to offer. AND it’s not a stuffy place! Open kitchen and barn type design made the atmosphere super relaxed.
We, like many others, had a wonderful dining experience at Signature. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you get a sense of professionalism with a level of ‘rustic French’ comfort. We started the evening with Cosmo martinis. As trite as it may sound, they were the BEST we have had in many restaurants and bars through the years. The shaved ice and request to ‘go light’ on the cranberry were the recipe for perfection. Compliments to the bartender that prepared them that night! Our server was on-point with knowledge, and, yet funny as he interjected funny antidotes with perfect timing during the meal. Our appetizers were exceptional. We started with the daily oysters, from the East coast, as well as the tuna nachos- a wonderful pairing with tastes off the chart. Next, we followed with a Cesar and a vegetable salad. Both were were light and very flavorful... dressings did not disappoint. For entrees, 3 of us had the Crispy Snapper with Crabcake and another had the scallops. Again, the meal was delicious. The only slight disappoint was when one in our party ordered the gelato. It was his fault because it was a ‘blind’ request; he would have fared better if he had let our waiter tell us the flavors and then choose. Overall, it was a fabulous dinner and we would certainly go again if ever at La Cantera again!
Your service had improved since we were there last. It was this time a good experience.
Wonderful meal with great service and atmosphere. Very creative food choices that made these foodies happy! The craft cocktails are not to be missed! Highly recommend this Hill Country gem!
Goat cheese tart is back for a time. If you haven't gone to Signature, it is probably the best fine dining in San Antonio at the present moment. A special restaurant, done right with an amuse, palate cleanser and mignardises throughout the meal
Our waiter was fabulous! He was very knowledgeable about food choices and wine to accompany our choice. We love the extras provided by the restaurant, blackberry lemon sorbet and fois gris mousse on puff pastry!
Great experience. Service was wonderful. Food was incredible. Will definitely go back again.
Did not start out well Put us at a table next to the door that the waiters use to go outside. When asked to be moved, no one paid attention until I want to the Maitre D.
When I got the bill there was another charge for the sweet vermouth for the manhattans. That should not be an extra charge. U]you can’t make a Manhattan without sweet vermouth. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.. was never charged for this in the past.
We had a wonderful dinner experience. The food was delicious with great presentation. The views from the restaurant were beautiful. I was a little wary about bringing a toddler and an infant to this place but the staff were accommodating, especially the manager Michael. We appreciated the great service. We will be back.
