Signature, Inspired by Chef Andrew Weissman
The menu is straightforward and beguiling, featuring Andrew’s contemporary interpretations of classic dishes — fresher, brighter versions of traditional cuisine enlivened with unconventional Texas spirit. Gulf seafood conspires with Atlantic Coast oysters flown in fresh, house-aged sirloin easily holds its own with Pacific Northwest lamb, and the Hill Country is well-represented with venison, dove and quail. Local and organic ingredients change the menu as the seasons peak and wane, but the constants are quality, flavor, artistry in the kitchen and a warm welcome when you walk in the door.
Friendly and impeccable service, fabulous dinner and attention to detail. Chef visited our table to check on us. Ambiance perfect for s lovely anniversary.
Server was very knowledgeable and personable. The brunch was very well prepared and delicious
AMAZING!! Went here for my anniversary. The food was incredible, the service was outstanding, and the restaurant itself is beautiful!
We really enjoyed Signature. We had wonderful service and the food was amazing.
Love this place! It is quiet, intimate, and has beautiful décor. The service is top notch and food creative and delicious.
The pheasant was great, Cod was just ok
As always, delicious
Signature was an amazing experience! I definitely recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful dinner.
Very good service, they need to work more on the food in getting better. I ordered langostinos and were mushy.
The menu looks good overall with a good variety of protein.
Anniversary Dinner. Food, service, overall experience were top notch. Will certainly repeat.
First off, all of the food was exceptional. We ordered Rabbit Gnocchi, Cucumber Crab Roll, Miso Cod, Blackened Red Fish, and the Peanut Butter and Chocolate dessert. Each of the dishes was thoughtfully seasoned, elegantly presented, and of world class quality down to the smallest detail.
For example, on the Miso Cod dish, the fish was perfectly fresh and flakey with a crisp crust on one side from a perfect sear and a juicy glistening flesh from being basted / finished (likely in butter) and was accompanied by a velvety mash of sunchoke and wasabi that gave you the hint of or idea that it hot, but was more experiential than drubbing you over the head with that gob of green goo that comes with sushi. The plate was then decorated with perfectly tempura fried mushrooms and an orange miso glaze that I would have purchased by the gallon, if they gave me the option to.
The restaurant also serves great craft cocktails, of which we sampled a few, including a dessert cocktail.
The prices are about as expected for fine dining. Certainly as expected on the entrees, but maybe a touch high on the appetizers. Based on the location, I imagine that they have rather high fixed cost, so it is probably warranted, because they have a fantastic setup.
I'd definitely go again.
Limited menu but imaginative preparation of all dishes. Always exceptional. Service top notch. Great ambiance except during this visit music too loud and out of sync with remainder of restaurant.
Outstanding service, red fish was best I have ever eaten.
Dinner was tops. I have been for Sunday brunch a number of time and I miss the beef on biscuit w/gravy- Chipped beef I belief in the old days.
All in our group of 6 enjoyed this brunch experience and are anxious to return. The food was delicious, service was wonderful and the location is beautiful.
The atmosphere was very quaint. The service was outstanding as well as the food! The rabbit and gnocchi was hands done the best dish ever!
The restaurant and the food were good. I downgraded my rating because of the noise, it was beyond reasonable. Two tables near us contained five or six people that must have been drinking. One woman literally was screaming. Uck!
As always, service could not have been better, food great with some unusual ingredients.
Seated promptly. Waiter was very helpful in wine choices. Ambiance and food were top notch! My tastebuds were very happy! Desserts are incredible also. Definitely returning soon
Absolutely fantastic! We drive up from Austin just to have dinner here. The food is perfect. The service is five star and the cocktails are amazing!!!
A wonderful dining experience. Lovely service! Food was delightful! Never rushed! Which is nicely handled. We will be back. Really the slight uptick in cost is over the top made up by service, quality and peace!!
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. Service was great! Very welcome and friendly environment.
My new favorite restaurant . We will definitely be returning. Food and Service and atmosphere were all A++++.
Our favorite special place for dinner. The flavors were just wonderful and the service was superb. Not often found in the Hill Country restaurants. Thanks!!
Fourth or fifth time for brunch, no better place. This is a dining experience everyone should have!
We have enjoyed dining at Signature since it opened. The past couple of occasions have been mediocre for the cost of the meal. I do not like leaving negative reviews but feel this last meal deserves one. The service was very slow For a not very busy early Sunday brunch. The omlet was not as well prepared as in a chain restaurant. Some of the other dishes were barely warm. The one very positive note were the cocktail which were original and very good. We will not return.
This is our favorite San Antonio restaurant. Expensive but worth it!
Celebrated our 30 year wedding Anniversary at Signature and it was amazing. We have been to a lot of very nice restaurants and Signature is one on the top of our list. Thank you for a great experience
This restaurant is AMAZING!!!! My hubby and I went in for our anniversary and they made it so special! We got there early and sat at the bar and had a few drinks. They were DELICIOUS! The bar tenders even let us know that our table was ready. Our waiter, Ricardo was fantastic and so kind! He answered all our questions from the menu and even brought us champagne to celebrate! Also, the food is incredible! We can’t wait to go back!
Congratulations to chef Andrew ! A marvelous experience. Sam Fore was here in spirit celebrating with you!
Beautiful placr but was not received warmly. Felt the hostess was preoccupied and was rather short with us. Did not get a good first impression. Went for Signature hour and value was good. May give it another chance for our anniversary in November. Hope it will become a yearly tradition.
Once again, an exceptional dining experience. Thank you!
Ambiance is phenomenal and food are super delicious. The staff are friendly and accommodated us for Mother’s Day.
Loved the new items on the brunch menu Always a great time
Beautiful setting for brunch. Great service. Brunch menu had a nice variety of choices. We shared an entree of poached egg with cured salmon, along with sides of bacon and crispy potatoes. All very tasty - just a little salty. We will be back
We love having brunch at Signature. We went for mother’s day this visit. They had some menu additions that were fantastic. My wife had lobster with a cognac sauce and I had braised short ribs with fried eggs over English muffins. They were both amazing. Their wine list is great and allows options in all price ranges. Dinner is always fantastic as well. Service is great. The restaurant is beautiful and we love looking out into the gardens. One of our top restaurants in San Antonio.
Outstanding dinner and service. Warm atmosphere.
Amazing food and wine!
The atmosphere is what you pay for, it’s like they try to put to much spice and flavors into the food thus causing it to be over seasoned and some just not edible for instance The bread was good but had so much pepper you had to pick it out so it was edible. All in all it’s a nice place that’s on the smaller scale so you and your date feel more secluded and can actually have a conversation while dining.
