Signature, Inspired by Chef Andrew Weissman
The menu is straightforward and beguiling, featuring Andrew’s contemporary interpretations of classic dishes — fresher, brighter versions of traditional cuisine enlivened with unconventional Texas spirit. Gulf seafood conspires with Atlantic Coast oysters flown in fresh, Texas Akaushi beef easily holds its own with Pacific Northwest lamb, and the Hill Country is well-represented year-round. Local and organic ingredients change the menu as the seasons peak and wane, but the constants are quality, flavor, artistry in the kitchen and a warm welcome when you walk in the door.
It was the perfect evening date with my wife.
Our first experience at Signature was very enjoyable! Our waiter had great recommendations for both food and drink. We loved everything we ordered. The ambiance was romantic but lighthearted. Great date night spot! Will definitely be back to enjoy fine dining in a relaxed but beautiful atmosphere.
Both the food and the service are exceptional for San Antonio.
From start to finish just excellent! Food cooked to perfection. Spring pea risotto was moist and sweet. Tomato salad was perfect. Scallops done with a nice sear to the top and the filet was exactly how my husband likes it. Red in the center but not bloody. The place does not disappoint! Total fun!
Wonderful staff & amazing food.
Signature is special enough to make everyday doing feel like a treat.
Friendly Staff. Great Ambiance. Wonderful Service. Fantastic Food. Wish we could make it there everyday
I tell everyone I know - Signature has THE best ambiance in town. Honestly such a thoughtful atmosphere.
The food was spectacular, interesting, perfectly prepared. The wait staff was attentive but not overbearing. It was a perfect dining experience.
Amazing food, atmosphere, and attention to detail. We will definitely be back.
I’ve always liked this restaurant and still do. But food was below expectations. Desserts were tasteless. I guess it was because it was a Sunday evening.
Great Sunday brunch experience. Service, food and ambience was fantastic.
The food was good but a bit of a long wait to get our table
Our visit to Signature was wonderful! From the waitstaff and sommelier to the chef coming out to greet us, the service was excellent. The food and wine were delicious as well, and the restaurant itself was beautiful. We will absolutely be back next time we visit La Cantera!
We visit La Cantera every year for the 4th of July, and Signature has become the most anticipated part of our trip. Everything from the pre-dinner drinks to the coffee and dessert were perfect. We loved it.
The food was amazing! Restaurant has a great rustic barn/cabin feel. Highly recommend.
Max was pleasant and attentive
Delicious food and outstanding service. We will definitely be back!
Great time and great food!
Local here for a babymoon/staycation, lovely dinner at Signature! Beautiful rustic yet elegant atmosphere with excellent service. We enjoyed our meal (crispy escargots, wedge salad, redfish, scallops, and baba aux rum) and will definitely return!
Ambiance, service and food all the best!
Always an exceptional experience!
Service was on point. Wait staff attentive but not smothering.
Try the pomegranate rosemary mimosas!
Brunch menu. Meal was phenomenal from combination of slavers to textures and plating presentation.
We have become regulars
Best steak ever, great portions, great atmosphere! Will definitely be back.
at the start of our experience our server was not prompt with communication and wine refill.slower service than last several times I have been there!!!
We had an incredible time and enjoyed the service, the experience, and the incredible food. Highly recommend.
Thank you so much for the experience. My wife and I really had a great anniversary dinner. The service was great, the food amazing and overall a great time. Thank you for making this anniversary memorable and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you!!!
It was superb! Stephanie was delightful as our server.
My wife and I went for our tenth anniversary dinner. The restaurant is gorgeous and sits in a beautiful space overlooking the greens. The food was excellent from top to bottom. The presentation and creativity are unrivaled in San Antonio. Service was excellent and our waiter was able to recommend wine pairings based on our tastes and order. The price was high but commensurate to the quality of food, drinks, and service.
Took my wife on a date on a Tuesday night. Everything was fantastic. Go early for happy hour at the bar great deal on appetizers and cocktails, try the cheese board. Then move to the table and get ready for perfection. We ordered a Mag of 2008 Domaine de I'Olivette Bandol that was to a real delight. Started with Rabbit and Gnocchi which was delicious, put a bit too salty. Redfish and Pheasant came next and were perfect with the wine. Complementary desert tasting topped off a perfect dinner experience.
This is one of our favorite restaurants, but this last time was very disappointing. I ordered the lamb chops and my husband ordered the fish. It looked like they just slapped the lamb chops on a plate. They were super thin and flavorless. My husbands fish was not good and only about 3-4 oz. We were very disappointed this time around.
Great food, great service!!! Wish it were easier to get a reservation, as every time we go there are so many open tables but seems impossible to get a reservation. We would go way more often if it were easier!!!
As always, everything was great. For manager to servers, everyone makes every effort to insure that your dining experience is perfect. This visit was for brunch. Both of us so thoroughly enjoyed our meals that we left moaning that we had eaten too much,
Wonderful night and amazing meal!
Chef Laurent is extremely talented and he and his kitchen prepare the most delicious meals. All plates are presented in a very creative and appealing manner.
Manager Patrick welcomed me as I walked in. Sommelier Adam always serves a perfect wine to pair with my food order. All the servers and helpers are so friendly. It is a wonderful experience for a single foodie diner like me.
As it was my birthday, it gave me a very memorable experience.
From beginning to end, the meal and experience were excellent.
Great experience, food and wine. Escargots, langoustines, foie gra, scallops, phoesain, 3 Napa wines and 2 French Pomerol. Our host was always taking care of us, the sommelier gave great suggestions and the fantastic chef came to our table a couple of times to see if everything was good. Thank you!
Friendly and impeccable service, fabulous dinner and attention to detail. Chef visited our table to check on us. Ambiance perfect for s lovely anniversary.
We dined at Signature to celebrate our anniversary. Every part of the meal met or exceeded our expectations. Karen had a monkfish entree and Jim had rack of lamb. We shared a rabbit appetiser, a Caesar salad, and a sorbet and ice cream dessert. Service was attentive, but we were allowed to eat at our own pace. It was a meal to remember.
Server was very knowledgeable and personable. The brunch was very well prepared and delicious
