   The food was excellent which is the most important. Excellent flavor and combination of spices. Our server was not particularly helpful. Whenever asked about a word that was not recognizable on the menu, you got the same response, “It’s a spice.” That was for six different words with no further explanation or description . There was also a hard sell on the menu that is one price per person that everyone has to agree on the majority of dishes, very difficult for a party of five with very different tastes. It wasn’t until any decisions could be made after 10 minutes, and were basically on the verge of leaving, that an a la carte menu was offered.

   The food was good and the service was good with a slight exception to the end of our meal. We were rushed out and told they overbooked, but we didn’t even get a 2 hour window for the meal. I understand overbooking, but please let us know this when we check in or at the beginning of the meal rather than taking food before the plate was empty and giving a dessert menu but letting us know we had 15 minutes. That’s not very welcoming or comfortable.

   Overall, it was a decent place. I felt the food okay, but I do think that I've had tastier meals for the price point.

   It was a great experience; we celebrated my daughter's birthday. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and ambience was cozy.

   It was an amazing meal! We were celebrating two family birthdays, so splurged for this evening out. We did the tasting menu and ordered one of each so we could try everything! Truly, every dish was exceptional. Highly recommend. The funny thing is, my absolute favorite was the hummus and pita! Unique, creamy, crunchy flavors all in one dish. LOVED it! It was pretty noisy, so hard to have a large group because we struggled to hear each other, but the service and food were so good!

   We tried the tasting menu and it was all delicious and good value for the food and drinks. The chicken, duck, and lamb, hummus and date cake were all highlights !

   Table was upstairs so different vibe than downstairs. Food was good but grilled chicken was cold and so was the lamb, and the rice. Portions of some dishes are very small to share. Didn't bother to do anything special even though I mentioned that it was a special occasion. All in all good but not the food would have been better served hot.

   Great food and service led to a nice first time experience. We enjoyed the manager/chef menu choosing different appetizers, mains and desserts. The pita, hummus and pickled vegetables to start the meal were fantastic. Main dishes had lots of flavor and even a little spice/heat but not too much to take away from the meal. Oh and get the potatoes on the side.

   I’ve been to SIFR several times and always enjoyed my experience. The one constant criticism is that the room can get loud. I rarely write comments, and I know this one is not especially positive. It is not my intent to be mean-spirited. I did not enjoy the dinner last night. If that had been my first experience at the restaurant, I might never return. The appetizers are always good. We ordered the scallops and the duck. I didn’t think the scallops were very good. The scallops that I prepare in a variety of ways are better. As for the duck, it was simply OK. I would not order either item again. I don’t think my companions enjoyed the dinner and am embarrassed that I selected our dinner venue.

    Amazing place. Love the concept. The owners have more than one concept and all of them are spot on in terms of vibes, cleanliness, food, and staff. Go try them all
