Sierra St. Kitchen & Cocktails
Goat cheese mousse, aged balsamic, olive oil
Veal demi, mushroom, daily starch, mint/cilantro mousse
Chimichurri sauce, citrus beurre blanc, parmesan, daily starch
Don’t go if you’re hungry. The portions are soooo small! The food was okay but it’s so expensive for what you get. Mac and cheese was dry and bland. Steak gnocchi was yummy but you only get 5 cut up pieces of steak. And the cocktails were super basic. Nothing special. And the waitress said that they couldn’t validate the parking because the owner hadn’t paid for those….
They only serve appetizers and Tapas-style dishes. No entrees. It’s also not cheap, our bill came out to $100 without really eating much
Lovely restaurant great tapas
As awesome as ever. First time back since cov-19 and still fabulous dining.
We always enjoy this place. Some new menu items this time. Duck nachos. Liked the classic stuff better. Good food.
Great food, reminded us of tapas restaurants in Barcelona, Spain. Lemon garlic shrimp is a must!
The restaurant just reopened so I think the issues we experienced lies with staffing and getting back into the groove. Our share plates and my cocktail glass was dirty. There was only 1 waitress and she had like 10 tables… she did great managing all and the food was really delicious. We enjoyed it and will def be back.
One woman serving 30 people. Didn’t pay much attention to us and the food was not great.
We went for early dinner this time, so the service was excellent and the food delicious. We had the entrees this time, not the tapas, so we wouldn't be hungry at the Reno Aces baseball game!
A rare find within walking distance from our hotel. The small plates are perfect..... if you had a large lunch earlier. The restaurant was very busy when we were there, so the service was quite slow. Go earlier for dinner!
Wonderful setup w/ small plates, we enjoyed the Tapas, followed by desert and port.
Food and service was very good. Kind of expensive for the portion size.
Sat at the bar and enjoyed a conversation with bartender and excellent mushroom Kobe burger and duck nachos. Cocktails were fun as well. Definitely recommend to any foodie. Enjoy!
This restaurant is outstanding!! The food is some of the best I’ve EVER had! We ordered several appetizers, and we were more than satisfied with each one!! Our server was so friendly and helpful in suggesting what to order. We ended our visit with the creme brulee, which was equally amazing as our meal. I could not breath when i left because i was so extremely full. But that was a great thing! I can NOT wait to visit Reno again, as this will be a must every time we are in town.
Great food, awesome service. Prices add up quickly- especially with cocktails.
Fun little restaurant down near the river. Sampled a variety of small plate appetizers; all very good.
Great place for a casual evening outing.
They were able to accommodate our large party! Delicious, fun and festive!
Unimpressive dining experience tonight. The food was completely unremarkable. Other reviews were so positive so we gave them a shot. Quite the let down! Service was inattentive and erratic. Ambiance was tight and close, especially considering the times.
Food was absolutely delicious. Good service.
We went for a friends 50th birthday. It felt a little cramped inside, didn’t quite feel like limited capacity, but staff was wearing face masks and customers came in wearing face masks. Cocktails were fun and tasty. I had the bourbon bramble, which I loved and DH had a bourbon drink he liked with an orange peel. I think the other two in our party had beer. I’d give them a 5 out of 5 stars for cocktails! I would absolutely go again for drinks! One group of 3 that was dining at the same time hung out at the bar after their dinner.
The food was just okay. We ordered the scallop entree and they did not look crispy/seared on the outside, like scallops can look, but they were still OK. The polenta and green beans it came with were delicious with lemon sauce, possibly from the scallops, but the scallops themselves disappointed. They were not cooked properly, in our opinion. The Mac n cheese was amazing. The Brussels sprouts had potential but they seemed boiled or steamed and not crispy at all. The sauce on them was tasty, as was the crispy bacon, but they needed work. If they had some crispiness to them they would have been outstanding. The shrimp tacos were okay. We liked the sauce on them. It came with an order of 3, which was perfect because one person in our party does not like seafood. The shrimp dish was not described on the menu and our waiter had to ask how they were prepared because he didn’t know. At first he told us to read the menu. We did, they appeared to be a special. The beet salad was tasty. The beets seemed slightly pickled, which was delicious. The goat cheese (?) they were laying on was good. I’d say that and the Mac and cheese were the winners of the night. The Kobe sliders were a huge disappointment, lacked flavor, the fries they came with were shoestring fries and good.
Service was attentive and the bar tender seemed to enjoy his time as well.
We were looking for a place to go for dinner and everything was full I saw this pop up on open table so we decided to give it a try SO glad we did the food was awesome and the service was great we had the stuffed mushrooms, chicken wraps, Brussel sprouts, caprice s
salad, beat salad and sliders they were all awesome we will definitely be back
Our dinner and service were excellent. The reason I did not give it a much higher rating is that the tables were VERY close together, which does not follow the 6' Covid guidelines. Other than that, the experience was good.
Servers were not super friendly, food was bland, wine was meh. Then our server was assumed that we enjoyed our date enough to add a 20% tip without asking - which we would’ve left anyway, but she decided she earned it I guess? Will not be back.
Great Valentines dinner
Food was absolutely amazing
Service was spectacular
Staff was all conversing with each other as we entered and an awkward greeting. Food was subpar compared to one of their sister restaurants Skyline. Our experience at Skyline has been excellent and we have been there several times. Gave this a shot and won’t be back. To many options out there. Also on Yelp there was a story pop up the showed Fel Pinot Noir $20 bottle of wine specials which is what drew us in. However when I showed the waitress she was confused and knew nothing about this offer. Then when looking it showed the story was live from 2 months prior which I feel is more on Yelp than on them. They did hooor with one. You’ve of their lower price Cabernets which was kind but it was a disappointment as this Cab didn’t have the same rating as the Pinot advertised on their Yelp story. Also my silverware was dirty and I had to ask for a new one. The napkin also had hair in it which I didn’t tell the waitress because I had a clean one from the new set and I just folded that one a put it aside. Just not a great start to our first visit. Honestly won’t give it another try. There are to many other places to try in Reno with excellent ratings.
Very nice. It was our first time there. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our appetizers and entrees were very flavorful and the cocktails were delicious.
Definitely going back
I would definitely come back! Delicious food, specially the steak
New to the area and looking for places to try. This is a sort of dive looking location but it’s a pleasant surprise inside. My old fashioned was the best I’ve had. It was perfectly balanced with a ripe orange peel garnish that when squeezed drops a perfect hint of Orange flavor and fragrance. The scallops were delicious, the sliders were great, the bruschetta was flavorful... all very good. I gave 4 because of Covid, it just dampens the mood and experience wherever you go. Spring, outside, by the river and this could be a 5.
We had a date night here. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful.
The food was good, although expensive. The waiter was rude and inattentive, though. He ruined all experience.
We ordered multiple tapas and shared. They were able to stagger the dishes so that not all arrived at the same time. We enjoyed them all with several glasses of wine. Server was great. Will return.
The restaurant wasn’t crowded when we got there, but soon after became packed. We sat at the bar as it afforded us better social distancing, however none of the tables were spaced to give proper spacing, and there was even a group of 12 that was seated, when local law states no groups larger than 6.
Very expensive for a small plate restaurant. Left feeling hungry.
The food and cocktails were both very good! We sampled quite a few dishes and they all came out delicious. Will go back next time we pass through Reno!
was a real nice place to meet girlfriends for dinner , the beet martini was excellent as was our meals. Katelyn , our server was a doll, room was fun.
Great food, music, and service! Thank you
Sierra Kitchen & Cocktail has become a regular spot. ... we’re there a couple times per month. Great staff. Great food. Fantastic flavors.
We were there for a late lunch & it was just what we were looking for. We put in a quick order for meatballs & crab cakes to share, both of which were delicious. We moved on to mushrooms & sliders, again, very good. The tapas format worked great for us - we felt like we could have grazed all day.
Greta food. Great service. Quick. Nice cocktails. Love this place
Great small plates
Very good service
Nice bistro vibe
