My wife and I were visiting from California and wanted some good Kansas beef but didn't want to drive from our hotel. This was close and reviews looked good so we tried it. We were happy we chose Siena. The food was fantastic. She had a Caesar salad and I ordered the ribeye, with asparagus spears on the side. I was all done superbly--definitely choice beef. Our server was attentive but not overbearing--a pro. Ambiance was nice with live guitar stylings the entire time. We enjoyed the guitar at first but after a while it became a bit annoying. The sound was little high for an almost empty dining room (1 other group), and the musician got a little funky with wah-wah peddle which definitely was not relaxing. Prices were a bit high ($43 for the ribeye sans salad or side) but not deal-killer considering the quality. We would return.
Food was terrible, drinks were extremely overpriced, service was slow, will not return.
Droid very average and we found it hard to find anything we liked. Are there because we were staying at hotel. Service was awful. Won’t eat there again
Service was great, food was excellent, we were seated next to the guitarist making it a little louder then we would of liked.
The ambience was nice, the service was excellent, but the food was not what I would have expected for the price. The opening salad was not very good, nor was my wife's pasta. The steak was good.
Nice downtown restaurant, surprisingly good wine list and service. Sommelier was knowledgable and did a great job!
Loved the ambience & music. Seated right away, given water. After having wine poured (ordered a bottle for our 22nd Anniversary) our waiter disappeared. After seeing other tables being seated and read specials we finally had to ask the hostess if are waiter was around. A different waitress came by saying ours wasn’t feeling well and was in the office resting. Finally ordered, salmon was excellent. Water and wine were not always filled. Someone else brought us dessert menus. Took forever to get bill and change. Not a single person/manager came to our table to see how things were or to apologize for the waiter mishap (even though we saw them checking on other tables) which is absolutely crazy to me for a supposedly higher end restaurant. This kind of service would never happen at Ruth’s Chris or Mahogany’s.
This was an incredible meal start to finish. Loved the grilled cauliflower and broccoli salad and the fully loaded baked potato. The prime rib was perfectly prepared and served with a lovely horseradish cream sauce. The grilled asparagus spears were also perfect. Coffee and dessert rounded out the meal and we enjoyed the guitarist throughout the evening.
Pork was overcooked and inedible. I mentioned this to the waiter but received no significant apology or any compensation. Meatball appetizer was also overcooked. I suspect the normal Chef was out. Too bad because I ordered the same meal ~one month ago and it was outstanding.
Great steak and potatoes
Great place to eat
The steaks were perfect to temperature and the cocktails were generous and sides seasoned to perfection. The restaurant seemed to be a bit understaffed as perhaps they experienced more business than anticipated for a Sunday evening. All was still good, but service was just a bit slow due to the number of tables being worked by the servers.
This place had really good food and the service was great. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Wichita. We had the burrata cheese and English pea appetizer, the ribeye steak, and the Bolognese pasta. All three dishes were fantastic.
The food was absolutely fantastic. If you’re looking for fast service, this is not the place to get it and I was incredibly pleased by that. A leisurely 2 hour meal is what we were looking for. The food came out hot and absolutely delicious. The service staff was attentive, but not checking in every 10 minutes. This is going to be a new staple date night restaurant for us.
Great steaks and porchetta! Very attentive service.
Our order got messed up and one order came out long after the others ate. Too high priced for the quality of food. We won’t go back.
Superb overall. Excellent food. Superb service. Pleasantly surprised that a restaurant inside a hotel chain would be so good!
Food was fantastic. Our waiter was very friendly and prompt. The gentlemen playing music was great.
Great food! Friendly staff! We will definitely be back!
Due to safety procedures, tables were spaced far apart and staff wore mask and gloves. Disposable menus were used to maintain clean menus for each guest. The menu was scaled back which makes perfect sense to prevent waste with reduced restaurant capacity. The food was delicious as always. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Our cocktails were perfect. Our server was a delight. Sienna is consistently my favorite restaurants in Wichita, KS and whenever I am in town, I make an effort to dine there.
My wife and I went out for an evening and chose Siena. We were very pleased! We had been a while ago and I have to say this may be one of my favorite places in Wichita now. I had the barramundi and it was really good. My wife had the shrimp pasta dish and really liked it. Service was great, as is the ambiance.
Siena is my favorite restaurant in Wichita! Drinks and food are always amazing.
Great evening in Whichita
The staff at the Sieana Tuscan restaurant are absolutely superb. Extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. The restaurant ambiance was conducive to a romantic evening, and the noise level was so nice...quiet without irritating music overwhelming conversation to the point one must yell to be heard. Thank you, in particular to the wait staff. Very impressive!
We enjoyed the Leap Day porterhouse steak special for two. The entire meal was top notch excellent. We then went to Dockum after our meal for their specialty drinks and live entertainment. Still talking about the great evening.
My wife and I had reservations on 7/15/20 @7:30. We were seated very quickly and was given our drinks also. We had to wait over and hour for our food. The gentleman who brought our food out was super apologetic and said the food would be covered tonight because of there error. I definitely was not expecting that. Even though they made a mistake on such a busy night they made it right, which is what makes them such an outstanding restraunt.
Alex, our waiter, and the wine specialist were fantastic! The steak was cooked to perfection.
The Creekstone Filets were undercooked and had no flavor. The Salmon was overcooked as well as the broccoli and cauliflower and also had very little flavor. Our service was slow given how the restaurant did not appear to be that busy. We like the Restaurant setting and the live music, but likely won’t be back if the food and service doesn’t improve.
Excellent meal and service. Our waiter was efficient and entertaining. Mix of entrees and all were superb. Huge wine list, schedule extra time to choose your bottle. We will return.
Service was good. They were very busy, but we got our food in a timely manner and refills were not too long of a wait.
Food and service were outstanding. 3rd time eating here and keep coming back.
Service was excellent! The fillet is the best I’ve had at a high end restaurant in Wichita. The relaxed atmosphere is wonderful! We will definitely be back.
Siena Tuscan is not a typical "hotel" restaurant, but can be considered destination dining for persons visiting Wichita. There are many tempting items on the menu - Italian classics with a contemporary American twist. The star of the show, however, is the beef, which is grass-fed and processed in an exclusive facility to maintain its integrity. I enjoyed a 12 oz. New York Strip, which was as tender as tenderloin. The steak was seasoned simply with pepper, sea salt, olive oil, compound butter and is surrounded by a swirl of wine reduction jus. I began with the parsnip soup, which was very flavorful, and enjoyed their sautéed mushrooms along with the steak. The restaurant features an extensive wine list with a fairly wide variety of price points. The evening I visited they were offering 50% off wines normally priced at $70 and below. A special treat was meeting the owners of the Kansas ranch that produces the beef served at the restaurant. They were enjoying a Sunday evening meal.
I have dined at the Ambassador many times. Special occasions. Business dinners. I love the midtown ambiance, great food and excellent service.
Food was great and the service even better - very warm. Loved the space too. Great ambiance.
We visited to celebrate our anniversary, and found everything to our liking. Our server Ryan was terrific, almost an emcee for the occasion. He guided our menu choices, and persuaded me to cap the evening off with an espresso martini!
We tested all categories of this restaurant and found them to be amazing when you just let the chef and staff do what they do best and enjoy things as prepared and served and take recommendations!
We had the chef’s tasting menu with parings. Wonderful and highly recommended!
We had a standard dinner with cocktails to start, starter, pasta course split, steaks prepared “as chef recommends” (let them decide, they know the cuts and what they are doing!) with wine, dessert and coffee, all wonderful.
We tried the room service sandwiches for lunch and our meal arrived perfectly prepared.
And finally, we tested the New Year’s Eve 4 course menu with recommended wine parings. All wonderful!
This is the first time I have tested all offerings of an establishment and had every meal surpass my expectations each time! Wonderful! I highly recommend this restaurant!!!
Excellent service, perfectly prepared dinner. Look forward to returning!
Always good food and good service. Did not disappoint on this visit Christmas Day. Thanks to the friendly staff and compliments to theChef.
The restaurant was not able to handle the number of customers on Christmas Day. We had reservations for 2:PM and waited almost one hour to be seated, after much badgering by one of our group. We were seated upstairs at folding tables with banquet chairs. In spite of the low ambience of this setting, there was a nice guitarist playing. However, the guitarist sat next to a bar that was used by waiters from other dining rooms, which made visibility low and it was difficult to hear him. In spite of all of the waiters running through our dining room, it was difficult to get anyone to take our drink orders. We had to pour our own water to have something to drink with our meal. Much of the food was already gone; they did not even have any butter left in the restaurant for the dinner rolls. If they had been at the top of their game, with enough food for everyone, especially those with reservations, and close to on schedule, the meal would have been exceptional. Unfortunately, our experience on 25 December 2019, our experience was subpar.
115 reservations and didn't get seated until 230. They tried to seat us upstairs and a folding table! What a complete joke
