The décor at Siena Tavern reflects a hybrid of a rustic Italian market, a fine dining restaurant and a modern, industrial tavern, bridging old world comfort and hospitality with a contemporary menu and design.View Private Dining Details
Excellent service and delicious Italian food. Very reasonable prices. We wished the restaurant were a litte more intimate, but it caters to all types of patrons.
We went in the recommendation of a some friends. Siena did not disappoint. We went for brunch, and would definitely go back again. My wife's Lobster hash was fantastic. And, I'm glad I took our servers recommendation and had their version of biscuits and gravy (A smoked brioche bread pudding with delicious prosciutto sausage gravy). Their prosciutto sausage is definitely worth trying. The food was delicious, the portion sizes were adequate, and the prices were reasonable. We had an excellent experience.
Happening place atmosphere busy
wagu meatball very good
Service felt rushed
We had a wonderful pre theater dinner with an outstanding server named Josh. Grilled octopus and bruschetta were outstanding. We also tried the spaghetti with crab meat, a pasta with bolognese and a wonderful pepperdelle with mushrooms and truffle oil. All were superb!
Love the food here! The meatball appetizer is awesome!
A fun place to dine. Seating inside and out with a large bar area. Food options were interesting and very good.
We had never been and all of the reviews seemed indicate we would like it. We did. First, Kaitlyn was an outstanding waitress. She was attentive, knew the menu well, very pleasant and did not hover. The wine that I ordered was out of stock, and they did the right thing - suggested a different but similar wine that was more expensive for the same price as the bottle that I ordered. The menu is limited, but the place was packed and for good reason as it all was well prepared (chicken slightly dry), presented nicely on the plate, and of course, tasty. A little noisy for conversation, but we adjusted. Ciao.
Dined here on a Saturday night. Wasn’t sure if it was a nightclub or restaurant when I first stepped inside. Service was prompt, courteous and friendly. We shared the octopus appetizer and I had the squid ink pasta with lobster while my date has the lagsagna. Both dishes were on the salty side but was great overall. Drinks were good and the price point was about right. Just wished they turned down the music a bit so we didn’t have to scream over the table the whole night. But all in all an excellent dining experience.
This was our first visit - we went for an anniversary and the atmosphere was great. I had short rib ravioli and my wife had the gnocchi - both were delicious. We tried the bruschetta for an app and the olive oil cake for dessert and I have zero complaints! Great spot!
The service was great. Not a traditional Italian place so if your looking for that it’s not! Food was super rich and not very kid friendly no kids menu so if you have picky eaters not a good place! The drinks were good and the gelato is amazing!! I would go back but order different stuff! They were accommodating to my reservation changes and I appreciated that!
This is not my first time at Siena Tavern and as always, my experience was amazing. Thank you
Was visiting Chicago for a wedding and this place was near our hotel and highly recommended by friends from the area. Food was amazing, service was fantastic. We were able to make reservations the morning of and got in with no trouble. Place was busy not packed. Their fresh juices are amazing. I tried the carrot ginger spiked with vodka and don’t regret it! Would highly recommend and will be back next time I’m in Chicago. The staff were super attentive. They also have outdoor seating options when the weather is nice :)
Excellent food and service!
My parents were visiting and we had to make sure we took them to our favorite restaurant in Chicago. Didn’t disappoint at all! They haven’t stopped talking about heir meals and the evening. Thank you guys for always being the best!
Its always a good experience at Siena tavern!
Great authentic Italian cuisine, cool modern feel.
Outstanding service and dinner! We loved that our waitress was there when we needed her and not interrupting good conversations. Her timing was impeccable! Everyone’s meals were delicious as always...We love Sienna Tavern!
very friendly and accommodating staff who will hustle for you if you have a theater date. Food was great. Brick oven pizzas best i have had in a while, and Coccoli appetizer was fun, unique and delicious (tables on either side of us ordered upon seeing our delivered - and devoured!). Shout out to the hostesses who were understanding of us showing up over 30 minutes late (yay Friday traffic from the 'burbs) and still got us a table right away so we would not miss our show. Will recommend and will be back!!
Sat at the bar and ordered way too much food
Greet time from the bartender was about 5 minutes but after that service was attentive and professional
Excellent recommendations and even after too much food he was able to talk us into chocolate cake
Dinner was excellent. We ate outside the first night outdoor dining was available for the season and the evening was warm. Thus the restaurant was very busy. Our waitress and management handled the very busy night very well. The kitchen got backed up, but the rest of the staff handled everything very well and smoothly. We will definitely return the next time we return to Chicago. I had delicious lamb chops; my husband had the cavateli. Both were delicious. The seasonal salad of watermelon was delicious as well. We also enjoyed the cheesecake and had 2 excellent Italian wines by the glass.
This restaurant has a personality problem....the atmosphere is that of a pub,the food is that of an Italian trattoria....it doesn't work well. The service is unprofessional and barely passable. No bread offered, no grated Parmesan with the pasta, no cracked pepper with salads. The food was good but not great, but the atmosphere and service were bad...surely this can't be one of Chicago's best. Chef Fabio obviously doesn't have much imput to how this place is run!!
Food is expensive, but very good and consistent. Every time I dine here the food tastes as delicious as the last. Service was good, sever could have been more attentive, but I understand the job can be stressful.
After hearing nonstop 5-star reviews about Siena Tavern, I expected incredible fare, outstanding service, and an overall fabulous first dining experience. While the food was all very tasty, and the ambiance very trendy with a lively atmosphere, the service did not meet those high expectations.
As a family, the four of us ordered an appetizer, our own entrees, and two side dishes to share. Unfortunately, our side dishes never arrived to our table, and our server was not around to notice the missing dishes. As a Vegan, I was looking forward most to the Cauliflower and Roasted Corn shareable veggie plates. It's a shame that I never had the chance to taste those dishes, which I'm certain would have been savory and delicious (just as was our other food).
Overall, would I dine with Siena Tavern again? That's up in the air.
Great resteraunt with great food, great service, and many things that seemed good, great experience for my b-day
Delicious meal. I keep coming back! The octopus appetizer is heavenly. We had delicious pizza. The wine and beer list is varied and large. Great, fun place to hang out.
Searched Open Table for their top rated restaurants in Chicago and was not disappointed with this pick! Fantastic food and service! Quality and quantity exceptional.
Just wish Fabio would have been there
Large portions of food
Wonderful loved it
It was a family birthday brunch. We had great food.
We had Sunday brunch here. Two of us shared the gnocchi and pear and prosciutto pizza. I don't like gnocchi and I could have eaten more of the dish. It was superb! Fun atmosphere and wonderful food!
very very noisy and crowded , food was not as good as it used to be
Server, Michael, was very good. He was personable and attentive without hovering. Menu has changed little over several years. Food was good and all waitstaff were polite and friendly. Absolutely loved be the burrata plate.
Went for breakfast. Very good food service was prompt. Made a reservation for 10.30 on a Saturday and by 11.30 the place was crowded. Lobster hash was awesome. Very good bloody Mary’s as well.
This is my favorite spot for incredible dining. This place has incredible service and unbelievable Italian dishes.
Had very nice lunch! Would return
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Would recommend highly.
Great restaurant! Love the food and feel!!! The shaved brussels sprout salad is amazing!
