We had a reservation and were seated in a nice booth facing the street. No ambience there. Selected a bottle of Chianti wine (nice) and the bruschetta, semi sweet and the tomatoes were hard. Next the Hearts Of Palm salad; split it for us and it was delicious. We both ordered a pasta dish as main course. Both dishes were overly salty and the lasagna noodles were not fully cooked. For dessert we had the cookie jar and it was great. Waiter was efficient!
This is a pricey restaurant and the food was average. Would not return.
My wife and I have been here a few times and it never disappoints. Great service from Jess and the entire staff.
Great spot for brunch. Our server was very nice and welcoming. We ordered the lobster benedict, ricotta pancake, truffle omelette, and the squid ink linguine from the dinner menu. All dishes tasted great, and i cannot wait to come back and try the dinner menu some time.
I went to Siena Tavern on a Saturday evening to celebrate my birthday and everything was wonderful from beginning to end. We were seated promptly outside and our server, Jessica was WONDERFUL - easily one of the best servers I've ever had. She explained everything thoroughly and was just a delight. Our bus person was also great.
Now, onto the food! We ordered the grilled octopus, coccoli, parmesan fries, pepperoni pizza, lasagna, brick chicken and parmesan potatoes. Everything was delicious. The fries were a little bland, but we asked for salt and that fixed the issue.
We also had delicious mocktails that the bartender whipped up!
Dessert was also delicious. We had the ice cream flight, bomboli donuts and cappuccinos. The sauces for the donuts were OUT OF THIS WORLD!
The ice creams were refreshing and so flavorful.
I honestly can't think of one bad thing to say. 10/10 highly recommend!
We'll be back.
Dinner date with wife
We were really excited to get reservations at this restaurant. It was always busy and always buzzing with good energy. The food and service was outstanding. But we were seated outdoors and granted it was summer and also granted it was HOT, but my goodness the number of spiders and bugs that crawled on our legs , hair and food was pretty shocking. We have sat outdoors all through our trip here and never experienced those kinds of creepy crawlies. Initially I thought we were just being a bit sensitive, but the table next to us had two women scream and jump up and stomp some bugs at their table twice, so it was really NOT just us. Not sure what they can do about this, but it sure did spoil our overall experience.
First time at Siena Tavern. Enjoyed, was seated very quickly and our service was knowledgeable about the menu.
Server was pushy, rude, and seemingly condescending to my girlfriend and I. The food was good, but not good enough to excuse his behavior.
We had our anniversary trip again to dinner at Siena. It was spectacular.
We went to celebrate our Anniversary. As always, I ordered the fabulous meatball & my husband had the Burrata w/tomato jam. These dishes are the best in Chicago!! We also ordered the chicken & salmon. Lots leftover to take home. Delicious meal!
Expensive but well worth the price for a special occasion because the food is out of this world.
Went for our anniversary. Joel our waiter was amazing. From a champagne toast to all his suggestions & stories. Highly recommend!!!
My husband and i got a reservation for the patio bc we love Chef Fabio from Top Chef, and the weather was perfect. We got the Octopus and the Mushroom apps and then split gnocchi and ended with entrees, I got the chicken and he got the pork chop. Everything was so good, and our server Dylan was so sweet and made great recommendations. Would definitely go back again. even if our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Can't wait to try the other stuff on the menu.
It was a pleasant enough experience, but it wasn’t anywhere close to spectacular.
This was one of the best brunch experiences we've ever had. We were celebrating my parents' 45th wedding anniversary, and the staff could not have been more welcoming. Our waiter, Albert, was a class act- polite, accommodating and attentive. And the food was absolutely delicious. From the champagne toast to the chocolate cake, my parents haven't stopped talking about how special it was, and can't wait to go back. Siena Tavern has been one of my favorite spots for a while, and this experiences proves why. Can't wait to get back again soon. Kudos to the management and staff, you made a special couple and their family feel grateful, happy and full!
Service was excellent and food was fabulous. Had grilled octopus and CAPRICCIOSA Pizza. Would definitely come back.
Loud at outdoor table, but great experience as usual! Food was delish and service was top notch.
We weren't seated until 20 minutes after our reservation. While our server was friendly and got our order correct, she clearly had too many tables as it took 15+ minutes to receive a new round of drinks. Drinks are over priced but typical for for area. Lasagna was a miss but pizza, gnocchi, watermelon/prosciutto, coccoli and burrata were good.
For visitors to Chicago, this place has a great location & vibe. Just that we’ve been here too many times. The menu needs updating. The entrees are just a bit tired and there’s no bread service. Fortunately we weren’t that hungry.
I had a delightful experience at Siena Tavern!
Ari, the bartender knew how to make a great martini (always my benchmark for bartenders) and she was funny and warm.
Our server, Juan, was helpful in guiding us through the menu and made a few wonderful recommendations.
We had the giant meatball (seriously, HUGE!), the brusssels sprouts salad and the hearts of palm salad to start. All yummy and beautifully presented.
I had the gnocchi for my main course and they were spot-on! (Another one of my benchmarks for Italian restaurants is how well they make their gnocchi.) Light, flavorful and melted in your mouth.
All in all, a fantastic experience. The only thing I would have changed would be the music volume. The music was louder than I prefer, although I know that's the trend.
I would definitely return!
The staff was very attentive and helpful. Our server JessicaM was great. The food was excellent.
We especially enjoyed the cocktails #7, and the Coccoli. It was easy to tell the pasta was homemade. It was fresh and tasty.
I will be back! Thanks for the pleasant experience.
Hadn’t been for dine in for a year here and overall the experience was great! The burrata with tomato jam is a MUST. The jam is one of my favorite things on their menu!
Amazing. Made my friends birthday so nice
Great food, reasonable Prices and open late. A great place to get together with friends.
Great food, wonderful service. Would definitely go back.
Our server Matthew was amazing very attentive and even brought me a speciality treat for my birthday. Thank you
Great food. Hard to have conversations as noise level high but the quality of food and service far outweighed the noise
Food was delicious. We ate outside and the service was good and a beautiful night.
It was an amazing experience. The workers were very sweet and hardworking and the food was absolutely delicious. Definitely worth the price.
Pizza was delicious but the other food was just ok. Our server was grumpy and somewhat inattentive.
A bit overpriced, food was not the hottest when it came out. I
We went for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere was awesome. Loved the DJ, great music, but not overwhelming loud. Food was amazing, service great. Absolutely recommend!
Service was great, venue was really nice and the food was outstanding. Love the Bloody Mary
Fabulous food and wine!!
