Great special date spot. It’s cozy but lots of fun. Really fun service staff. Food is top notch. Creative, tasty, and I want more. The drinks are well thought through and excellent.
Love this place. Staff is always super friendly and attentive. The food just continues to adapt and evolve. We have never had a bad experience. Our go to restaurant for the good vibes and food!
Had a great evening. Ate downstairs where we liked the noise and vibe. Too quiet upstairs for us. Shared the trout app and raclette. Then had the special beef cheeks and agnolotti. Very tasting. Shared an apple tart for dessert. Would go back for sure.
We had a very good meal and the service was excellent. Not a huge menu, but a nice variety to choose from. Prices are more than fair given the quality of the food and drinks. We did sit in the upstairs which is more private and quieter. If you are looking for more atmosphere suggest sitting downstairs. If you want to talk or have a larger group, upstairs would work well. I had the Beef Cheeks special while my wife went with the steak. All done really well. The temperature / doneness for the steak was spot on. We went before a show in the cultural district and it was an easy drive after dinner.
I ate at Siempre Algo with friends for the first time on Wednesday. We loved our dining experience. The setting is chic and welcoming. Our server was very personable and explained all of the preparations clearly. The Autumn Salad was fantastic and fresh. We all had the Laurel Trout, which was perfect with roasted hazelnuts, asparagus and green beans. We shared the Apple Torte for dessert--shortbread crust and drizzled with caramel and a scoop of ice cream. Heaven! We met Chef/Owner Brian Hammond who is committed to great fresh food and the neighborhood. I will definitely be back!
Third time there. Food is great and service knows the menu and wine well and is very personable. Great place for a special meal out.
Wow Amazing food and service.
Early bird 5pm only thing available—everything was wonderful.
Visiting from Seattle and had business dinner meeting. Outstanding food and service! Kristen took great care of our table! The bartender made my favorite drink and introduced me to a new gin. Highly recommend!
Excellent service and cuisine---though would like to see more locally sourced beer available
Some of the absolutely best food and service in PGH.
Fabulous food and wonderful service. A real gem!
They had me when the handed me my glass of “Welcome Bubbles” 🥰🥂
I’ve eaten here about 5 times now and not a bad meal yet. The service team, especially the bartender, are knowledgeable and eager to share whatever they know that might assist with making your experience better!!!
We reserved a table for four, but ended up eating at the bar because the bartender was fun. We had a great time!
Amazing night!! Food and ambiance off the charts!!! And may I add service and our waiter were incredible!!!
We loved this place! This was the first time we went to Siempre Algo and we fell instantly in love! The food was creative and delectable, and the atmosphere and service were amazing! Would definitively recommend!
Food was good, not huge portions but that was expected. Very accommodating and nice! Good service!
This is easily one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh, if not THE best.
Don’t be put off by the name — it’s not a Spanish restaurant. The menu is ever-changing, always interesting,
We have never tried a dish that wasn’t excellent and unique. Friendly, knowledgeable service,
reasonably priced wine, fabulous cocktails, and warm and welcoming atmosphere.
I don’t usually write reviews.
This is my fourth or fifth time at Siempre Algo and all have been wonderful experiences, but my latest visit was superb. Interesting menu with fresh, seasonal ingredients at their peak. We tried a number of dishes and shared and all were delicious (the peach, arugula and goat cheese salad was especially amazing). Attentive and impeccable service. Overall one of the best dining experiences I've had.
Loved the food and ambiance and the throw back music (‘80s sounds on the night we went).
Hard to hear table conversations at times but overall a great add to the North side!
Pretty good overall. The service is excellent. The food is very good, although it could be even better. I had the soft shell crab. I didn't expect it to be fried and would have probably been better grilled.
Our waiter was great. The noise level can be a bit high.
While traveling to Pittsburgh for a long weekend we accidentally discovered this neighborhood gem. Don't miss it, don't even consider it, go there. Every single item that we sampled on the menu from soup to nuts was carried out with an utmost concern for quality, a genuine love for food, and our server Kristen with a K! Was a true sweetheart!
We had a sensational meal... everything was very good....the waitress very knowledgeable..what a great new find
Celebrating the end of a very long day, we were welcomed—with a splash of bubbly—into a warm and inviting room. Friendly and helpful service, an exciting menu, great wines by the glass. I could easily have grazed my way through the appetizer menu and be happy as a clam. That being said, we had the asparagus and deviled eggs and both struggled to share our plate. For mains, the trout was perfectly done with crispy skin and a delightfully light sauce. Soft shell crab was also stellar.
We had a late dinner at this phenomenal new restaurant on the Northside. Beautiful decor and delicious food! Chef Brian is doing incredible things here! The deviled eggs with fois gras, truffle, mustard and spices were a great start. Followed by the warmed spring asparagus with its charred acidic lemony ramp fresh barrata goodness which showed it off in all its glory! Our shared entree was a take on chicken and dumplings with the chicken being perfectly crusted and moist inside in a broth that had incredible depth which lifted the garlic ramp dumplings to even higher lightness and brightness! Great drinks, service and a perfect just sweet and tart enough rhubarb berry galette with tangy buttermilk ice cream rounded out a perfect meal! #droolworthy #gaygourmands
We loved our experience from apps to dessert. 4 of us and every plate was “cleaned”. Very knowledgeable and attentive server. A little too noisy for the 4 top to hear the specials though. Drinks were great!!
The food is exquisite and the menu varied. A complementary glass of bubbles is a nice touch. The staff is very attentive.
Incredible experience. Great service, greeted by the server with a complimentary glass of champagne.
Wonderful dinner. The server was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the eggplant tort and the trout.
Great service and food. Welcome drink unexpected but very welcomed. Some little things make a big difference. Burrata and asparagus was so good.
This was our second visit to the restaurant. We left before dessert because it was obscenely loud. The food and service were good and we will not return.
Great Food. We will be back again. Server was really good with pairing wine.
The restaurant was clean and beautiful. We were treated so well, and the food was delicious!! I will spread the word about Siempre Algo, and definitely come back.
We liked the welcome bubbles...nice touch. We had a pretzel and some devilled eggs that were both delicious. There were 6 of us who had steak, pasta, and soft shell crabs; all were very flavorful. The hostess and our server were so friendly and attentive.
Love the food, hate the noise level. They really must do something to dampen the noise. Shouting across the table is not my idea of an excellent meal.
Absolutely delicious food, warm reception, and great service. Servers were so knowledgeable about everything on the menu.
We had a great experience at Siempre Algo. All of the staff we interacted with were pleasant. They also went out of their way to inquire about food allergies and make sure the food we ordered did not contain any of the allegens. (The food was also perfectly prepared and delicious!)
Siempre Algo was an amazing experience. The food was incredible, the cocktails were amazing, and the ambience was perfect. I loved the open kitchen seeing the chefs at work. The decor is beautiful, it really ties the whole restaurant together. I will definitely be back.
From the beginning to end all was wonderful. Pate with pretzels? Fun and delicious. Trout was amazing. Service superior all around.
