Excellent newcomer to Pittsburgh. Bistro atmosphere. A welcoming 2 oz. glass of bubbly is complimentary. Eclectic, well-executed menu, including devilled eggs with foie gras, sweetbreads, monkfish...things not frequently found on local menus. Decent wine list. Service was attentive. Music was NOT deafening. (Thank you, thank you) Good value. We’ll return soon.
best restaurant in Pittsburgh, don’t miss it
Will, as always, was wonderful. He updated us on what was new and knowledgeably suggested a wine to go with our dish, and he was spot on! I love this place.
The cocktails and wine are good. The asparagus dish was very good. The monk fish entree had virtually no flavor and the fish was dry. The scallops were good.
Tremendous food and great service. Some of the best scallops we ever had. Beef tartare was excellent and be sure to try desert. A great experience in a cozy space.
Excellent food and service.
The back ground music is loud and in appropriate for fine dining
Food didn't seem as excellent as previous visits. Scallops over salted. Sweetbreads not as succulent. Cocktail list not as exciting. Scallops quenelles listed on line menu but not available on paper menu for 2nd time. We will return to try the summer menu.
Delicious food and the wait staff was excellent
Thank you for the positive feedback! We look forward to your next visit !
This is a neighborhood treasure and should be a destination for everyone that enjoys thoughtfully constructed dishes, fun and friendly service in a well designed space. I have eaten here several times and the experience has been consistently great.
Took my parents here who were visiting from out of town and it was a wonderful experience. Great food, great service. Would highly recommend to others
terrific restaurant. !!! The food was DELICIOUS and the chef served us our meals. Great new spot. !
Really nice dinner on the north side. Good service and a good vibe. Cool starter of homemade pretzels with Dijon mustard. Sweetbreads as a small plate were wonderful. Few place serve sweetbreads as there's a ton of prep but these guys do it well. Monkfish with potato pancake and squash. Duck with creamy faro and asparagus was really well prepared. Super chocolate mousse. Why can't more spots do this quality of food and service at a reasonable price point?
Outstanding!!! Would go on any special occasion and will tell friends!
Food, drinks, and service were all excellent - came for a special occasion and already have plans to come back just because!
Nice place indeed. The food is amazing!
Delicious food with great recommendations and service at the bar. Pork chop was especially tasty and distinctive.
Great food. Knowledgeable server...very attentive. Went early (5:30) as only time available. Wine pairing very appropriate tho Malbec only fair. A touch pricy but will DEFINITELY go back!
Again- a wonderful dining experience. We had a colleague in from Brazil and couldn’t have been happier to share our “slice of Pittsburgh” with him. The food was amazing and the service perfect!
Superb. The meals were sumptuous but not decadent and crafted to perfection. The beef cheeks melt in your mouth and the potato dish accompanying was unlike anything I'd enjoyed before. The wait staff was courteous, kind and accommodating. From start to finish, a top-end dining experience and at very reasonable prices. I cannot wait to return.
Excellent meal enjoyed by all in our party. Duck and scallops outstanding! Service execution perfect. What a wonderful restaurant!
Best meal I have had in a while in Pittsburgh. Can't wait to go back! Big 3, food, wine and service all great!!
We have been four times now. It’s always delicious and the service very attentive. The portion size is perfect and the price reasonable.
Our Server was assume and took time out to explain everything. Really liked her a lot. At first we thought small portions, but nope, it was just the right serving. The food was delicious.
I loved both the interesting cocktails, the great food, and the staff. Great place, we just booked it again.
Excellent food, very professional service. The casoulet was outstanding. Limited but interesting wine list.
Party of five, excellent time, we enjoyed the food and the service was fantastic. Everyone was happy with the night!
Our server, Will, was delightful and was full of spot-on recommendations. An excellent meal start to finish.
Knowledge by the staff was impressive and they provided excellent suggestions. The menu is perfectly sized in terms of items and not overwhelming. I will definitely be back!!!!
Consistently delicious. Food has been outstanding at every visit here. Our experience this last visit provided insight into what a great team they have there. Around 10:30, Following a nearby boxing match, the restaurant filled up with a large crowd. The servers and bartenders were slammed. We then witnessed the host/sommelier Will and the head chef/owner jump in to bar tend, seat diners, bus tables and serve food. It was apparent how much pride the chef and his staff have in this restaurant.
All four of us agreed - one of the best meals we've ever had in Pittsburgh, at a very fair price. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Nice cocktail menu and well-trained bartenders. All in all a great experience!
Excellent food. Attentive Chef. What a surprise of things to come for the Northside.
Sweetbreads are spectacular. Hamachi was a bit bland. Would’ve enjoyed more onion and capers in beef tartare. Ceviche never disappoints
What a great meal! The free bubbly to start is a nice touch. For appetizers we had the pretzels with chicken liver pate, deviled eggs and baba ganoush - all were delicious! We had a party of four and we all tried different entrees - I had the chicken with savory bread pudding and loved it. The other people in the group ordered the scallops, the bone-in pork chop and the rib eye - which was the special of the evening. Everyone raved about their meals. The butterscotch tart and chocolate mousse were a delicious way to end a fabulous meal. So happy that we picked Siempre Algo for dinner.
Great service, amazing food, lovely atmosphere, good lighting!
Amazing meal and the service is friendly and well educated, but not stuffy
We were very impressed by Siempre Algo. The place is simple and warm. The menu was thoughtful and the dishes beautifully realized. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. The drinks list is also interesting. I began with an Early and Often cocktail, a lovely way to start dinner. My husband was very pleased with a Farmhouse Ale to begin. I had the chicken, which was moist and flavorful. My husband had the monk fish which he enjoyed tremendously. We shared the blood orange crostada and the hibiscus granita for dessert. This is a wonderful addition to Pittsburgh's burgeoning restaurant scene.
I thought the restaurant was overpriced for what they served you. The main entree was poor and the dessert very simple
Second visit there, everything was great. Great recommendations from the staff.
Wonderful food, drinks, and service! One friend had a pork chop & said it was one of the best she had ever had! I had the scallops, which were wonderful, but could use more substance. When the main dishes arrived both of my friends looked shocked asked if it would be enough. It looked more like an app than a main.
I took my friend for her birthday, super fabulous food and experience. We enjoyed a delightful 3 hours there eating and gabbing and celebrating a special day. The waitress is a unique soft talker so hearing her was challenging. The menu is balanced and flavorful and I didn’t have trouble putting together a meal dairy- and gluten-free. Diners can easily drop $100 so be prepared, and parking is on the street wherever you can find it. Overall great experience.
