In all honesty just skip it. Go somewhere else. Service was shockingly terrible. We ordered olives and bread with our wine. Took 45-50 mins to arrive. Our mains came then 45 mins after that, and our dessert 30 mins? Each time with apologies. The manager said they weren't busy at all when I asked. By then I wished he had at least lied, or said they were understaffed idk. We paid about 120 per person, you at least would expect the staff to know what we are being served. Wine tasting came with no explanation on what we were drinking too.

Tables were full & very close together, but the ambience was still ok. There were plenty of staff but they seemed to lack initiative except for the initial girl who took our order? No repeat drinks offered; we asked for more water but ended up getting it ourselves etc. Two of our meals were brought out looonnng before the second two (we needed to chase them up) We didn’t receive a side dish that we ordered. Silly little things that were disappointing overall. Will say that the food we did receive was excellent.

Started off ok. Although we were sat at a table where we could feel the cold air coming through every time the external door was opened. Young man who served us was good and he was friendly and attentive. Entree was scallops - they were ok. However, it took 45 minutes from time of ordering to having our entrees. Our mains arrived around 1 hour 10 minutes later. So for a 12.30 booking our mains arrived around 2.20pm - needless to say after almost two hours we were feeling pretty hungry. We were given a free serve of potatoes so someone in the kitchen must have noticed that our order had somehow slipped down the order. It seemed that we were 'forgotten' to some degree because we ordered al la carte and there was just 2 of us. Steak was well cooked but a little 'fatty' and for $63 seemed a bit over priced. Given the wait for our meals decided not to risk it by ordering deserts. There did seem to be 4 or 5 young girls working there not doing a lot of table service that we could see.

My partner and I had an amazing meal at Sidewood – everything was absolutely delicious! The food was so tasty and full of flavor, and the portion sizes were perfect – definitely filled us up. And the best part? The prices were really reasonable for the quality you get. Highly recommend if you’re after a satisfying and affordable meal. We’ll definitely be back for this again.

The kids menu was quite expensive and large servings, they could go down in size and price. The food portions were wuite small and expensive for what you pay for.

The Sidewood team could not have been more accommodating when having a very special birthday lunch for my wife. Matt the manager ensured the flowers were on a big table and popped over for a brief chat. The food was excellent, great portion size and fresh and ultra tasty. However it was Leanne our wait person who made the day, ensuring we had the correct wines, after a small tasting of others, to complement the meal choices. Excellent and outstanding and a valuable asset to Sidewood. She knew when to ask and what to ask and was ultra friendly and professional. Top day and brilliant restaurant and team.

Service was friendly and punctual. They didn’t know we were doing the chefs menu when we arrived even though we’d booked it online and this was the case when servers would clear our food which made it slightly confusing. The restaurant was a nice vibe, however it was freezing! We both had to wear our big coats inside. The food was punctual, well presented and tasty. I didn’t think it was worth the $95 pp though when you can get a better experience for less elsewhere. Overall a good night out!

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great communication in booking a function, happy to answer any questions. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner or a group function. Food is delicious and so is the wine. We had an amazing time will be back! Thanks so much to the staff!

What a Lovely Experience. Stunning natural backdrop, quaint and vibrant environment at the same time. Waiting service was above average with pleasant, accomodating staff. The food was delicious and of high quality. Highly recommend this place.
