   Thanos, Teegan, and Katie were top notch. At a restaurant of this caliber it's to be expected, however I was highly impressed with the attentiveness offered by the staff. The only reason I didn't give this review 5 stars was the actual steak. Perhaps it's a Canadian thing, however when I go to other top tier steakhouses ( US equivalent would be Ruth's Chris or Morton's) I'd expect to see a thick ribeye. The 12oz. ribeye served was good, but was very thin. For the price I've become accustomed to significantly thicker ribeyes that literally melt in your mouth. Staff, ambiance, presentation, and location make this a 5 star experience, it's only the steak that I find lacking.

   Wow! Our experience at SideCut was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. We stumbled upon this hidden gem and were blown away by the delicious dishes and the warm hospitality of the super friendly waitress.

   We had the Spring sampler and it was fabulous! We were told the 4 choices were ‘samples’ but were very happy with the portions. They certainly filled us up and each dish was like a flavour explosion. It was a very rewarding culinary experience in a comfortable setting (was on the patio). Highly recommend this!

    We were seated next to a very large, very noisy party. They were so loud that we could barely hear our server. The strip loin steaks were, unfortunately, tough and tasteless (except for the more than ample amount of seasoning.) Cocktails were pretty amazing and very creative. Service was outstanding—I think the servers knew we were pretty unhappy with the cacophony of noise coming from the party adjacent to us. Overall, a disappointing experience and we won’t return.

    Food was great, Tegan was lovely and knowledgeable. We asked loads of questions and she was very helpful. The gentleman dropping the food (French accent I believe) did amazing with all the discriptions we did four courses and he knew all of them inside out.

    From start to finish everything was perfect, the food was stunning. Lison who was looking after us couldn’t have been more attentive and friendly, she was knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu and where all the food had come from, it was my partners birthday and she went out of her way to make him feel special and make it a memorable dinner.     Really not impressed with the food. Steak was thin and over cooked. For an 85 cad rib eye it should of been thick cut. The food was outrageously priced for the quality.

    Menu was very disappointing with very small choice of dishes other than steaks. We were told that the Chateaubriand Steak would take one hour to prepare, when I ask why, we were told that the chef likes to rest the meat before presenting it??? That does not make sense ??? The staff are charming, you could not ask for better service but, the choice and volume of music, the lack of tablecloths makes the whole experience more like a diner rather than a top class restaurant charging top prices. I would not go back. The executive chef really needs to review the policies.

    Wait staff was wonderful. The host is the same for 2 restaurants, so this is a bit confusing. My recommendation is if the hotel is going to call customers to confirm their RSVP, they should prob take the opportunity to explain how this works. Because the other restaurant is like a bar, and the staff does not allow you to wait at the bar. This seems a bit ridiculous, but both restaurants get very busy so they have no choice but to make customers wait. My recommendation is to not arrive too early. Otherwise you have to wait standing up or share a very small waiting area w others. Full meal (starter, main, dessert) will run you $60 to 80 per person not inc alcohol. Seafood tower is prob an under ordered gem along w burrata salad. Kids menu is surprisingly good.

    Great steak, great cocktails. Definitely get the rib eye! Don't bother getting the wagyu or other fancy steaks.
