Sicilia Mia - Cottonwood
We still cant believe our good fortune having this lovely outstanding restaurant so close by. Food is divine, service impeccable every single time! Love this neighborhood spot!!
Food was top notch, best Italian in the state. Servers were very helpful and friendly. My only complaint is the bathrooms were not what I would expect from such a high quality restaurant. They need a lot of work but otherwise had a wonderful experience at the restaurant!
Had our Valentine’s Day date here. Much smaller than expected (maybe 15-20 tables). When we were seated they gave us a complimentary small soup to warm up after it started snowing hard. The waiter never introduced himself. They seemed very casual. They took our order after we were sitting for about 10 minutes and got our food about 10 minutes after that. They knew a lot about the menu and you could tell they had been in the food business for a while.
The atmosphere was not so comfortable, cold wind blew on us when the door opened, chairs and table not comfortable. The crab legs in the special were not easy to crack and we needed to ask for a scraper to retrieve the crab meat...
Great food at the small but charming restaurant. Pasta is homemade and yummy.
High quality traditional Italian cooking w professional service
Sicilia Mia had wonderful friendly service and the food was incredibly delicious. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!
We were there to celebrate a friend’s birthday, to which the staff was very attentive. They brought a delicious cannoli and sang happy birthday to her, - in Italian, of course- and even picked up on her name from the card that was addressed to her sitting on the table.
Great food and excellent service! They really treat you right at Sicilia Mia! I will definitely go back.
Possibly one of the best service oriented restaurants I've been to. We met everyone from the chef all the way through the management and server team. The food did not disappoint - you can tell what authenticity and heart is behind every dish and every service opportunity at this restaurant.
Food was amazing!! Potato gnocchi Oh my!!!
Out second visit and it was a nice as the first. Great food and service; staff know their food. Portions are large, everything from salads to deserts. Menu is big enough but but not huge. No soup other than the small, teaser portion they provide after you are seated-their soup is wonderful!
A few things to remember. It's small, only 10 tables, and the two tables for two are in a bad location; I wouldn't sit there as you will be continually passed by staff and customers. It's pretty noisy. Nothing in the interior to absorb the noise. No view other than the traffic of Bengal or the customers at the service station across the road. Very little parking. Be ready to drop off your group and the to park across the street when the restaurant is busy.
Still, I really like the place and since I go for their food I'm satisfied!
It was an underwhelming experience especially after reading all the reviews. May go back and try again.
Service was only surpassed by the food! Belissimo!
We had been told that Scicilia Mia in Holladay was very delicious. The Cottonwood location opened and is closer to our home. We decided to give it a try. The location was very noisy. They do not have a pizza oven as does their other location. The food was good, but not as wonderful as I had anticipated. Their prices are moderate for the portions. We will try it again, but will probably go to the Holladay location this time.
This little neighborhood gem is the best! The service is amazing and the food is always top notch. The staff always makes you feel so welcome and special. We go there with friends and/or children. There are a few dishes prepared tableside that are always amazing especially the Carbonara. I highly recommend this place. I suggest you make a reservation because it is a small place and full most of the time on especially on the weekends.
Service was excellent. The waiter knew the menu very well and had great recommendations. The wine list is great and his recommended wine paired well with our meals. It was my birthday and they sang for me and surprised us with a desert that was a custard with caramel and banana. Wonderful!
Great staff makes you feel right at home. The food was wonderful!
It was great! Kim was our waitress and she was wonderful. We had a birthday celebration at our table and they treated us so well. Three of us had pasta and we loved it. The ahi tuna had too much pomegranate sauce and the fish pan was ok. The pasta was amazing! We were all happy to go there and will definitely be back. The place was packed and I am sure it will be for a long time! Thank you for treating us so special!
My boyfriend and I went here for date night and we were blown away! The food is outstanding
Sicilia Mia is turning out to be one of our favorite local restaurants. The service, especially Jerry and Vicenzo, is superb. The food is both creative and comforting. Good selection of wines. Buonissimo!
Kim our server was SO great! We have a 5month old baby and our friends were in town...she was more then willing to help hold her when she had a minute. Can’t say enough great things! The food was also amazing! Would recommend the gnocchi mushroom dish or the carbonara. You won’t be disappointed.
For years we have been enjoying Sicilia Mia on Highland Drive since they were a little 8 table restaurant. Last Saturday for my sons birthday we decided to try the Cottonwood location and I will never go back there. Our table was ready for our 5:30 reservation and our waitress greeted us, she was nice but you could tell she does not know the pronunciation of most of the dishes but this is Utah so we let it pass. From that point on the food was very good but rushed. We were still enjoying appetizers when they cleared our dishes and dumped our main courses on the table. 10 minutes later they wanted to know how many boxes we wanted. We were there for a relaxing fine dining experience not fast food. Then a waiter came by and wanted to give us the check and I said that we wanted dessert and he became rude and started to make fun of my son saying "I know this guy he eats a lot" We had dessert and then the waiter shoved the check on the table and then had the Gaul to tell us he needs our table for some other people and we should leave. Our time there from start to finish 52 minutes. If you like Sicilia Mia food enjoy one of their other locations.
Staff and food were delightful. I will go back.
Parking is tough and the layout isn’t as inviting as the staff. Our table was in a location that should be a waiting area. Instead we had people standing behind us for our entire meal waiting for tables. A little pricey. $150 for two people
Kim treat us wonderfully!! Awsome place!
Great food and great service. True Italian experience with happy staff and happy people loving their meal.
The food was excellent and the staff made us feel very welcome. Their personable and friendly attitudes just make you feel like you’re friends in their home. On top of that, everything was extremely well prepared and the staff made sure everything came right in sequence. High quality service, high quality food, great atmosphere and the pricing is right in the sweet spot of high end and value.
It was our children’s 24th Birthday celebration. Food and service was excellent!
Fantastic food. I really can't say enough how authentic this place is.
Loved every moment of being at Sicilia Mia! Vincenzo made us feel like family and regulars for being our first time. Highly recommend going!
The service was impeccable. By the time we left, we felt like we were family. And we’re not typically outgoing. The food was really good. And considering there is a definite absence of palatable Italian food in the valley, we were pleasantly surprised.
Absolutely wonderful! My new favorite! I’ll never go anywhere else for Italian.
Extraordinary food, service and atmosphere! The staff makes it very special and it was the most fun I've had at dinner to celebrate my birthday!!
Amazing food and the staff are both professional and fun!
Great, authentic, Italian! We dined as a party of 6 and the service was superb! Great family vibe and lovely energy between the kitchen staff, waiters, and manager. This restaurant is a new family favorite.
I am a big fan of the family and spirit behind the Sicilia Mia restaurants in the Salt Lake Valley. This setting is a "triumphant return" to the spot where the family started their Utah experience working under another label. Their key is very good sourcing, solid preparation and presentation, and dependable warm welcome and service. The table side preparation of the Tagliatelle with Truffles is wonderful. The eggplant wrinkle to the caprese appetizer is excellent, as was the arancine. Pay close attention to the menu's identification of family member "favorites"--they are routinely very, very good. And--somehow--reserve room for dessert. Excellent.
We went for an anniversary. The special was spectacular. Ambiance was a little noisy, due to the restaurant's small size.
Service was exceptional. Great neighborhood restaurant. Will return often!
Was celebrating my birthday with a large party close to Christmas and wanted a somewhat quiet place. Amazing food, service, and ambiance. I love that the chef came out and introduced himself. Also, the waiter was spot on with his wine recommendation.
