In the heart of Tinley Park, Siam Marina creates stunning Chinese cuisine with an upscale twist, and a heavy focus on fresh seafood. Excellent appetizer options include the asparagus crispy rolls with bacon and parmesan cheese, fried honey kumquat quail and lobster mango summer rolls. A tantalizing array of curry dishes, sure to please any palate, are some of Siam Marina’s specialties, such as the spicy catfish curry and the vegetarian monk curry. Other popular entrée options include the wasabi crusted rack of lamb, the clay pot tilapia and the pineapple cashew chicken, all of which demonstrate Siam Marina’s wonderful grasp on big flavor.
Siam Marina also has a wonderful variety of special events, such as wine tastings, martini tastings and live jazz nights, so keep an eye on their events calendar.
A very nice and comfortable environment. Food is of highest quality.
Everything was perfect, except some background music would improve the atmosphere.
Absolutely spectacular!! Must have the Red Snapper. Also try the Seafood Crispy Roll, Tempura Green Beens and the Short Ribs. Very much enjoyed Siam Marina and look forward to my next visit.
It was very good I was looking for a nice place to celebrate our anniversary. I just wished they did like a free glass of wine or dessert for couples celebrating. But we will definitely be back with the whole family.
We went to Siam Marina for my brother’s birthday. We’ve been before and always have a great meal and enjoy the atmosphere. Cody, our server, was awesome!
A couple months ago, a group of friends introduced me to Siam Marina, and the food and service was excellent! So, a couple days ago, I took a group of 4 friends there. I was not disappointed! The one thing I will say is that, this last visit was on a Friday night that had a Jazz Group performing. While the music was very good, it was way too loud for the venue. We were sitting about as far away as we could, and we still had an extremely difficult time hearing each other talk. Food and service were still 5-stars.
Our anniversary! Lovely ambience, excellent service, tasty food..! Overall superb experience !
Truly enjoy going there. One of my favorites. Only complaint is unless you have 4 guests you are not allowed to have a booth ( even when there are several empty). Terrible policy.
So happy you had a great experience! Not a policy, I have spoken with the staff so that doesn't happen again. If the booth is open with out a prior request it is all yours!
This was the first time my husband and I have been here but we also came with another couple that has been here previously. The wait staff is very pleasant and helpful. The menu has a great variety of food. We had the ribs and the shrimp & scallops pad thai, both were excellent. We also tried the pork meatball, egg rolls and spring roll appetizers and all were very good. They serve plenty of food, would be a great place to get a couple different entrees to share. The dessert was great, we had the cinnamon apple crisp, the hummingbird cake and the double chocolate cake, all were delicious. To top all this off they had a small Jazz band, music was great. Would definitely go back.
Food was excellent, we enjoyed everything we ordered. Server was very knowledgeable in helping us decide what to order.
Calming decor, friendly service but disappointing meal. We had the shrimp egg rolls which were very good but on the small side for the price. The entree was the big disappointment. I ordered the shrimp and scallops,my husband had the frog legs. My dinner was spicy, but there was no mention of spice on the menu. The frog legs were in a "sauce"which was in a large bowl of soup as my husband called it. It was a sloppy mess. Our desserts were good. We won't return.
We walked in and the hostess could not find our 6:30 reservation. I told her I made them thru open table and she said they don't use open table anymore but sat us anyway. We were celebrating a 50th birthday so not a great start. Martini menu extensive but overpriced. We ordered the seafood rolls and after we both took a bite a waiter came over and said we got wrong ones and grabbed them off our table. Unless u were gonna serve them to someone else you could have just left it. Food was good but our bill was 130.00 for 2 people. We did have 2 martinis each one app 2 entrees and split one dessert. Not somewhere I would frequent often.
First time a Siam Marina but definitely won't be my last. Food was great and nicely appointed restaurant was not crowded on a Friday night.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed a great dinner & live Jazz on NYE 2016, and it was excellent.
Our first time dining in to this location, but we have had carry-out before, based on our past familiarity with Siam Marina, when they were in Calumet city.
Nonetheless, it was an awesome dinner, drinks were great (the bartender even made my boyfriend a special drink & named it "The Pager" for the night). Our waitress was fun, knowledgeable & personable (I hate that I can not recall her name at this moment). Great atmosphere, décor and service. We're locals, so we'll definitely return & hope to have a group outing there soon!
My spouse and I went to Siam Marina to celebrate a special occasion and had a fabulous time. The Liza Micelli live Jazz Trio was absolutely fabulous!!!!! Along with the fantastic food we were on cloud nine. Robin was once again our waitress and she's always a delight.
We had a wonderful meal, served in a timely and friendly manner. The menu was very rich and had choices for all tastes, the beverage list comprehensive (specially interesting cocktail list). Appetizers were tantalizing, we'd recommend the crispy platter that serves 4: crunchy and delightful. Both seafood as well as duck, chicken or pad Thai based dishes were flavorful and portions very generous. Prices proportioned to the high quality. Highly recommended.
We are avid diners at Asparagus, their flagship restaurant in Merrillville, Indiana. This was our second visit to give Siam a chance and will be our last.
Service was slow and interaction uncomfortable.
Food arrived incorrect, not as ordered. Asked for no onions, but were in main dish.
Drinks are fantastic, the flavors are great, but the overall experience was lacking yet again. We will stay loyal to Asparagus.
We absolutely love Siam. We were sad to see them move locations, but we love that the same quality food and drinks are still there at the new location. They have a great selection of tasty cocktails at their very modern bar. Not only are the cocktails great, but the food is amazing! Love the pineapple fried rice and avocado egg roll appetizer! Highly recommended!
I went in a night when they had live jazz playing. It was the perfect compliment to the great food! I will definitely be back!
Chef Tammy has outdone herself. The "new" place is beautiful and the food remains outstanding.
Love the variety that is offered in the menu. So much and everything was delicious. The duck was cooked to perfection and very generous portions. I would eat more food and skip the desserts as after the great meal they weren't as impressive. The band on Sat. evening is great.
The ambiance at Siam Marina is great, makes for a nice date night. I had the banana duck curry which was spicy but delicious. Had the avocado rolls and calamari tempura for appetizers. They were very good. I will definitely go back!
Celebrated my birthday here - our group was treated as if we were the only ones dining (we weren't). Our server was extraordinary - patient, thoughtful, keen memory, and good attention to detail. We ordered a ton of food and all of it was fantastic. Best Thai and fusion outside of the city, hands down no contest. Drinks are ridiculously good as well.
We have been customers for several years. Starting at the Riverbank location, and Sibley locations. This is my second tine at the new locatio, the first in March for my 50th BDay. Love the new locations ambience. And the foid is fantastic. My husband's usual dish is no longer offered, so he tried something new and loved it.
Has a good menu, long wine and specialty drink list. The food is plentiful, tasty and well made with a lovely presentation. Best Thai Fried Rice I've had anywhere. They It can be a bit slow when it gets busy but that just leaves you time to savor the tasty martini's they make. The street is busy but they have a good outdoor seating area with nice landscaping that blocks the noise and plenty of parking in the back. All around good choice.
The "new" Siam Marina in Tinley Park is beautifully decorated. I loved the circular booths. It is very quiet, and I was surprised it wasn't as crowded as I remember the previous River Oaks location.
LOVED everything we ordered. However, our server mixed up saffron scallops and saffron grouper and as a result we all got to watch my husband eat his extremely late, corrected entree well after the rest of us were done eating. It was our first visit and we were celebrating a birthday, which went unacknowledged despitep two requests. Unfortunately for those serving there this means I will gladly order takeout but probably not bother to actually sit there.
Our favorite place to go for Thai food. Great atmosphere, service and, of course, the food. As a couple or with a group, you can't go wrong with Siam Marina.
If you have not visited Siam Marina you are missing a taste treat.
We were looking for dinner in Tinley Park. Your restaurant looked to be the best option. We were treated well, and the food was very good. Everything was fresh and tasty. The menu offered many options for dinner. The Tom Kah Kai soup was out of this world. My wife and I both ordered curries. Portions were huge and the taste was excellent. I only wish the prices were better. That would be the only reason for not returning. A sidetone, we were not sure what type of cuisine to expect walking in. You were playing latin music in your lobby. That seemed a little weird considering by all accounts this is a Thai restaurant. But besides that, all else worked.
The food is really amazing. The menu has a huge selection of seafood, which was awesome. There is also a good selection of vegetarian/vegan items.
The wine list is great, the martini list is overwhelming.
The restaurant is pricey, figure $70 per person with 2 drinks.
I'd come back for sure, but maybe just sit at the bar and have a few appetizers.
Service was meh. Our server wasn't very friendly, kind of standoffish. They could have filled the water glasses more, without having to keep asking.
The staff is friendly, courteous and professional. The wait staff is very helpful in explaining the menu and making recommends for dinner. The food is served in a timely manner with time between servings for conversation.
We joined friends for dinner last Friday. The server, named Sunny, was charming, sparkly, and attentive without hovering. The food was very good, and we certainly enjoyed the entertainment, Margaret Murphy-Webb Quartet. There is a space to dance and the staff went out of their way to make the dancing space comfortable for us. All in all the evening was delightful. We'll be back!
In our group some people really liked their food and some did not care for their meals. Mine was too salty and the white asparagus in the dish looked like it came out of a can. The oysters were mostly garlic, I couldn't find any meat in the shell that I tried. However, our service was very good.
I went with my fiancé to try something new in our neighborhood. I've never realized that this place existed until I saw an article in the paper. We looked at the menu online and saw a few things we were willing to try, we were very surprised on our choices because Everything was sooo delicious! I highly recommend the spicy lemongrass beef appetizer , it was to die for!!! Definitely coming back to experience more!
When Siam Marina finally opened its location in Tinley Park, we were excited to have a new, higher end restaurant on the scene. We have dines there several times since but have noticed the last couple of times that the entrees are starting to all taste the same. While the base "sauce" that Siam Marina uses is flavorful, it is starting to overpower all the entrees. One of our entrees was the Asparagus Lover's Scallops and Shrimp and another of our entrees was Lemongrass Scallop and Shrimp, even though both had scallops and shrimp, the flavors should have been different but they looked and tasted exactly the same and the actually tasted the same as the Lamb Shank. The appetizers do have a lot more flavor variety, so maybe next time, we will just order appetizers and do dinner tapas-style. If Siam Marina wants to be a true contender for best restaurant in Tinley Park and compete with Tin Fish, they need to get more variety of flavors in their entrees.
Love Siam Marina, fantastic food. I wish it was a little closer to the original format. I could go more often.
Amazing martinis. Amazing food. Amazing service. Kid-friendly.
Siam Marina is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants. I can't wait to return to try more dishes so I can say which is my favorite.
Cannot say enough about the quality of the food and service. Menu selection was fantastic and the service that of a Michelin restaurant.
