   Ate twice in the same week. Busy but friendly, efficient service. Food was very good quality and reasonably priced. The menu is a bit limited especially for dietary intolerant folk. It was busy both evenings and noisy.

   Went here on a whim and it was a great choice! The service was excellent, drinks were delish and food was amazing! They were also very accommodating to dairy and gluten allergies.

   Very good fried chicken in many different forms and a great casual dining place that we were able to happen upon last minute and get seated which is rare in the greater Boston area these days.

   We always enjoyed our experience at Shy Bird. We sat outside under the heat lamp and our server is super accommodating to make sure the heat lamp is on to keep us warm when it was constantly blew out by the wind. Food was good and tasty, but the chicken seems a bit too salty. Fries are always great. Drinks were just right balance of spirits and mix. We'll be back soon.

    My wife and I decided to go to the MIT Museam for our 30th Anniversary and Shy Bird was close by. We’ve been to other restaurants from this owners’ group and were very much looking forward to experiencing another spot. Shy Bird did not disappoint. We were welcomed and led to our booth which had higher glass walls that really helped keep the noise level down but that would not be the case if the accordion doors to the outdoor seating were open. That said we both love when restaurants do have open walls, there just fun! Our server welcomed us and wished us a happy anniversary as did the manager. Our servers could not have been nicer as she took our orders and remained that way throughout the meal. The food was great! My wife had the egg wrap and loved the potatoes in it and I tried the vegan harissa breakfast bowl and it was fantastic, and I’m not a vegan or vegetarian, it was just flat out delicious. The restaurant gave us a nice little dessert of cookies, strawberry, and whipped cream. Yum. When I went to give our waitress my credit card she informed us that the man who was sitting diagonally from us heard us talking with her and paid for our meal! We were both so touched we cried. Sir, if you read this we want you to know how much we appreciated you kindness, thank you. Our waitress gave us both hugs and we thanked them all for the wonderful experience. The Museam was fun too!

    Always have a great time at shybird, great menu options for omnivores and pescatarians alike. We loved the boozy kombucha cans. We always love being sat with Abby and/or Kelsey. Will be back

    We sat in the back of the restaurant, which was open to a hotel/corporate lobby. The food was wonderful and well-priced for the area. The servers and staff were attentive, and we really enjoyed ourselves.

    Very loud Waiter mixed up and confused two of six orders New food was brought to the table quickly Only one single stall bathroom available for the whole establishment Food was mostly good well prepared but lasted any real spark. I really hate cold fries-nuf said

    Great service and great portion sizes relative to price. You can either go for an extravagant or modest meal and be satisfied nonetheless. It is great to see such a place in Kendall Square

    We’ve been returning to Shy Bird for over a year now, it’s always great- super casual, friendly staff, nice outdoor space, good selection of drinks and food for every taste. Highly recommend! Thanks guys, see you soon again!

    My in-laws were visiting from California for the first time since 2016, and I was very excited to take them to Shy Bird as my partner and I had been for dinner previously and LOVED IT. We went for Brunch and it was the most disappointing meal I’ve ever had. We had 3 different waiters, all of whom were extremely hard to flag down. Waffles and hash browns were sold out, which seems crazy to me considering this was Sunday Brunch service. French fries were being served in lieu of the missing hash browns, which they forgot to include on my partners breakfast plate (we had to ask for them after the food had been brought to our table). Three of us ordered iced coffees with milk and sugar, but only milk was delivered and we were unable to get the attention of our waiter to ask for sugar. My partner had to go up to the bar to ask, and he was only given 2 packets of sugar (it felt like it was being rationed). The Chicken Eggs Benedict was the most unappetizing thing I’ve ever seen, it was served with grey looking dry dark chicken meat, which my father-in-law said was inedible. The scrambled eggs on the breakfast plate were dense and cold. I found it weird only one piece of toast was served with the plate, which had a lot of fuzzy fibers on the crust. Overall a super disappointing meal— my partner said he’ll never go back again.
