Excellent for a return visit after several years. We found it to be unchanged and for good reason. Why mess with a good thing. The Peking Duck was awesome.

Food was greasy waiters keep bumping in our chairs and waiter was very rude and started yelling at us when we complained about the food instead of asking us if we wanted something else and told us we don’t need to repeat we already told them we asked for manager he never showed up it’s a upscale place how do they survive with that horrible service

Lunch was expensive for average food. My Mooshu pork had very few vegetables. The bass lunch was much better. Portions are large.

Horrible service, even worse food. Was unimpressed. At one point there was a massive piece of dust that fell from above the door onto my plate, that was the end of everyone’s disappointing meal.

Excellant food lovely setting great service It reminded me of chinese restaruants from the past which you don t find anymore elegant. And the noodles that were put on table those alone deserve 5 stars!

Have been a customer since the late 70’s and remains one of my favorites in NYC. Be sure to try the Peking Duck and the Orange Beef.

I've been going to this restaurant more many, many years. When I moved away from NY, it became a staple on my "must do" list when I get back to the city. Nothing has changed. Food is delicious and the staff can't do enough for you. It's always special for me to go to Shun Lee Palance. Literally, it's like coming home.

Have been there many times, unlikely to go back. The place has gotten old and tired but the attitude of the Captain was very frustrating.

I’ve eaten here several times. Always good, always consistent, but nothing remarkable about the restaurant. The waiter could have been a bit more attentive.

The decor is acceptable but getting a little old. The wait staff is responsive but not sufficiently attentive or friendly. The food is good but not amazing while the prices would suggest that the preparations should be more unique and sophisticated. I think the Shun Lee on the West side does a better job but it’s time that this venerable Chinese restaurant freshen up its act.

It is always a pleasure to eat at the restaurant - the food is tops, the service is prompt and friendly and it is close to the location where I stay in NY. I will be back after the first of the year.

Really gone down hill. The Slippery Chicken was mediocre. Crispy beef was served cold and service was slow. An order of dumplings was only 4 pieces instead of the 6 served other Chinese restaurants. Took 10 minutes to retrieve my coat from coat check despite the fact that there was only one party ahead of me in line.

As usual, excellent food, nicely served. Ready to close at about 10, which I thought was a bit early for a Saturday night.

Friends and I came from Hong Kong and we went there before marathon day for carbo loading. Food was surprisingly great and service was above standard too. My only complain is the texture of the rice...

Shun Lee Palace has been a favorite of mine for thirty years. No trip to NYC would be complete without a trip to this great Chinese place conveniently located on East 55th Street in midtown. I love the quiet atmosphere, the wait staff who know what they're doing because most have been there for years, and the incredibly good food. Don't miss this Asian gem!

My wife and I tried the Shun Lee Palace for the first time last April while we were on our twice yearly trip to NYC. We loved it so much the first time, we just had to go back in October. Everything is great here - the food, the nice friendly and quick service, the atmosphere. It's in a great location mid-town also. If you haven't tried it, you certainly should. It is a very nice experience.

This wasn't my first time having lunch with the girls here, however, the service was very, very slow. It took an extremely long time for our entrees to be served (all of which were a lunch menu special).
