Traditional Bisque with Lobster Meat, Cream, Sherry and Topped with Onion Puree
3 of our steaks (all were 10 oz fillets ordered medium rare) were served nearly cold. Steaks were taken back to kitchen and then reheated, resulting in 3 over cooked dry pieces of meat. Not good. Manager did remove the charge for the 3 steaks, but unfortunately the meal was a bit of a bust. We have had many excellent meals at Shula’s and hopefully this was a one time issue resulting from closed due to COVID.
The food was very good and cooked to order perfectly.
I came here with my friends for my birthday dinner, everything was great. Our server was attentive and very nice and our food taste and flavor was amazing, my steak was cooked perfect. I really enjoyed everything, couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Always consistent. Always eat at Bar. Working the kinks out because of Covid but best staff all around
Amazing food and more than anything the great experience.
They accommodated our group of 8 in a private room, perfect privacy to celebrate my daughters 17th birthday! Service and food exceeded our expectations.
I always try to have at least one meal at Shula's whenever I visit WDW. They have the best steak I have ever had anywhere and my most recent visit two days ago was no exception. 22oz Cowboy ribeye was great, just wish I hadn't eaten so much bread while waiting.
Only two gripes. First, the noise level seemed a bit high but less than other places I have dined in. Also, I don't know what the dress code is but my wife and I always dress in business casual or higher when we eat here. On our last several visits, I have seen people walking to their table wearing blue jeans, shorts, tennis shoes, flop-flops, etc. Seems a bit too casual for such a fine restaurant that requires reservations.
Excellent experience for our 32nd Anniversary. But no one ever asked if we were celebrating anything.
Have dined here many time before and it’s always a wonderful experience.
Friday, Sept 18 2020, it was a little rocky.
Our food was delicious, don’t get me wrong. Melt in your mouth steaks and warm crusty bread.
But the service was TERRIBLE. We were waiting for some friends who got stuck in traffic, but the waiter didn’t even bother to ask us if we wanted an appetizer while we waited or bring bread. When we finally did order the food came out very fast.
But we were barely check on, they never brought more bread, and when we asked for the check, it took 45 minutes to receive it.
Will I go back? Well yes. But I will make sure to ONLY go when my favorite server is working. I did ask for a manager but the server told us that wasn’t a thing. For the first time in my life I left a tip under 20%. It was that bad of service.
Always a favorite. Shula’s is unsurpassed in quality and ambience. It’s still my favorite steakhouse. And we’ve been to them all.
One of our favorite restaurants. The food is exceptional and pleasant service.
Best place in Central Florida! Outstanding service and management.
We visited Shulas on 9/12 for our anniversary dinner while vacationing at Disney.
The atmosphere and decor are great, with all of the sports memorabilia displayed in a very classy way. The food and drinks were outstanding. We shared the New Orleans Shrimp as our app and we both had a 10oz steak. The meal was phenomenal. The best steak that I have ever had.
This is BY FAR our favorite restaurant and we are so glad that we were able to get a reservation.
When restaurants are cutting back their menus they should tell the customers in advance on all media. Not after you are seated.
Great service and best steak in Orlando!
Crab cakes were excellent. Service was great. Will be back.
Outstanding dinner and beyond
When I go to outback and spend $80 on a meal with 2 steaks, I expect there to be certain hiccups. No big deal if courses aren’t timed right or steak isn’t perfect temperature.
Now, when I go to a “renowned” steakhouse and spend $300, my expectations are much higher. If you charge a “perfect” price, I expect a perfect experience. I don’t expect a medium $55 filet to coMe out well done instead of medium, and offset the meal while another filet is cooked. I don’t expect to receive one glad of tea for the entire meal, even when I’m seen drinking from my fiancé’s glass. I also do t expect the deserts gotten to-go (because we are now behind schedule and you have to order the desert 20 minutes in advance) would be packaged so poorly. Tip.. if you make a chocolate lava cake to go, don’t put the uncharged vanilla ice cream in the same serving container touching the hot cake! Other food delivery services seem to have figured this out already. A shot of sweet $3.00 cream does me no good on a lava cake!
These hiccups are for lesser restaurants.... not Shula’s. Very disappointed.
BTW... French onion soup is AMAZING!
Have eaten at Shulas before. Always delicious food and great service. It is pricey though.
Glad to have this location back open at least until they decide to open Tampa. I’m a huge dolphins so I live the decor of the place and you never go wrong with Sinatra music. Service was good and they seemed very happy to be working again . Ordered the Porterhouse to share and it was cooked perfectly. French onion soup was amazing. Sides were good but missing the Au Gratin Potatoes. We had a lovely meal and enjoyed the experience again. Closed for way too long. Will be back here again and to Tampa whenever it opens.
Let me start off by saying this was their third night back open after being closed for a while due to Covid-19 so maybe this was just an off night. I am not one to leave bad reviews but just wanted to leave my honest opinion after this experience.
Reading the reviews and staying at the Swan and Dolphin numerous times, we always wanted to dine here and had really high hopes. We booked the reservations in advance, arrived before our time and checked in at the front desk. After about ten minutes our party of six was sat at our table. A waiter greeted us and took our drink order. He also mentioned three waiters would be taking care of us and also mentioned he’d only been on the job a few days.
Bread and drinks arrived and were good. I also ordered the colossal shrimp cocktail (oddly served on a plate) but was the best thing we tasted that night. My mother-in-law started with the caeser salad which contained brown lettuce. When placing our food order I found it rather odd that I couldn’t order my child’s cheeseburger medium rare especially at a fine steakhouse. Fine, we’ll take whatever.
The waiters were sparse but eventually arrived with our order. My child’s cheeseburger burnt to a crisp, two filet millions over cooked, bland side of mashed potatoes and watery cheesy broccoli. Waiters never came back, I eventually chased someone down for ketchup for the cheeseburger and no one complained we just ate what we could with a smile.
During the meal I went to the front desk and informed them of my wife’s birthday. The woman asked for our last name and I even pointed out our table. Well, after 30 minutes of sitting there after our meal no one ever came just a waiter that flipped us our bill. The icing on the cake was my kids looking at me and telling me “daddy we like Outback better.”
Again, not one to complain just telling everyone that reads this the god honest truth of our experience. We wouldn’t come back.
Great server and awesome food!
We are central floridians who come to Shula's for the great steak, french onion soup with the perfect amount of gooey cheese. It's near all the action at Disney and very close to Disney Springs, you would never guess where you were while you were sitting in the restaurant. It's masculine but not overly so and wth all the pandemic isolation and the recent passing of Coach Shula (one of my dad's heroes) it was nothing but pure pleasure to go back to an old haunt and shrug off the last six months with a good cocktail and a great steak.
The service was wonderful, all the attendants were happy to be back and the only problem was that sometimes we couldn' t hear/understand with the double security of mask and face shield.
Thanks for a great meal and looking forward to coming back sooner than later.
My husband’s birthday. His birthday was acknowledged by staff, hostess, etc. We both ordered filets and as usual they were prepared to perfection. Social distancing was maintained.
I took my wife and son here for a birthday dinner. We shared a couple of the bone-in ribeyes and the portions were more than we could finish between the three of us. No skimpy steaks here! The temperature was perfect, the flavor was amazing, and the sides were delicious. We will definitely be back!
This was our first visit to Shula's and it was the first day they opened after the COVID-19 Pandemic. We booked our reservation through OpenTable; and, were greeted professionally. The staff all wore masks; and, the servers also had on face shields. The social distancing was appropriate; we felt very well cared for.
We started with bottled, still water, which was Voss, my wife's favorite. I ordered a Dark Cherry Manhattan while my wife ordered an Effen Mule, made with Effen Vodka. Both drinks were quite good; but, mine lacked the "smoke effect" that the waiter hoped to display with a flourish.
My wife, our daughter and I all shared the Colossal Shrimp Cocktail, which included 5 shrimp, and exceptional remoulade sauce and a very good cocktail sauce. We enjoyed the shrimp very much.
My wife and I each had the Cowboy Ribeye and could have easily shared one as an entree, as we both took home a substantial portion of our steaks. Our daughter, had the Grilled Salmon, which was fantastic! To share, we had the Mac & Cheese, which was very good, very creamy and very tasty. To with my steak, I had a glass of Penfolds Max's Shiraz, 2015. It was excellent.
For dessert, our daughter ordered the Creme Brulee; and, I had a liquid dessert of Hudson Manhattan Rye. It was a splendid finish to an excellent meal.
Food was great! Service was outstanding! Our waiter was friendly and engaging.
We ate in the hotel Shula's in the middle of the virus scare, and despite the staff being told they would not have work in two days for who knows how long, they treated us like nothing was wrong. Excellent service. Excellent food. Enjoyed our meal very much.
Great food in a warm setting, service was top notch.
I took my boyfriend for our one year anniversary. We had an excellent service team and our waiter Tyler NEVER led us astray! All of his recommendations for food and drinks were phenomenal. I can’t wait to go again!
Our service was excellent and the food was great!
Our servers, Thomas and Nick and their hard-working assistant whose name we didn't catch, were fabulous - knowledgeable about the menu , made excellent recommendations, had just right timing between courses! A truly enjoyable evening.
Great food great service. The steaks are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had another great meal at Shula’s in the Dolphin at Disney World. The beef is terrific (our entrees varied from 10 oz filet to NY Strip to 22 oz Porterhouse, and all were excellent!) Their rolls were wonderful as always. The team providing service was great right up until it was time to leave, when we found it was difficult to get any of the wait staff to bring the bill and box up the remaining steak. For several years, I enjoyed the birthday club free entree deal and am disappointed that this particular program is coming to an end. Hoping there will still be some sort of loyalty rewards for those of us who love Shula’s!
The food is always exceptional. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive to your needs.
This was our second visit in the last couple of months. Both times this restaurant did not disappoint. The steaks are delicious. Juicy, flavorful and cooked just like we liked. My daughter and I had the 10 oz filet, my husband the cowboy steak. The sides were great as well. Sautéed spinach, mac and cheese, green beans. We also ordered the desserts. Molten lava cake with ice cream, and fresh baked apple pie with ice cream. Simply delicious. Great for special occasions, this is not an inexpensive place to dine. The only downside is that both times we were there it was extremely loud. Difficult to hold a conversation with our party.
Some food came out cold. They need to use heated plates or plate warmers. Deserts were very good.
The food is outstanding the quality of the steaks were excellent.
The service was very good, the servers were attentive, knowledgeable and were there whenever we needed them.
Great experience, I highly recommend Shulas t the Dolphin, I will be back.
Waited too long to get check and steak was not warm when it was served. Staff is very friendly. Was seated next to a service door that was left open most of my meal. I expect a little more attention to detail in a high end meal.
