Perfect spot for lunch/breakfast before going to Miami Lakes Theater that's just down the street. Looks like a good spot for watching sports too.
Based on reviews I expected the restaurant to be good but not necessarily great. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and service. I would definitely go back again. Everyone in our group ordered entirely different things and everybody was very very happy with their meal choices.
We expend a beautiful time celebrating the 40th Birthday of my son, you feel in this place like in your home, and by consequence that time worth a million dollars, the food out of this world, and the service A plus, thank you again to the staff.
Went for Miami Spice. The venue was not what we expected for a Spice restaurant. It was simply listed as Shula's2 - found out was sports bar later. Waiter (Noel) was very pleasant but somewhat clueless. Took a drink order without writing anything down and came back five minutes for clarification on a Dry Bombay Martini.
Wife's Pina Colada was good. We both ordered the steak and "jumbo" lump cake . Crab cake was smaller than what we buy at Costco and somewhat burned.Steak was nice but loaded with salt! (Chef should learn that customer can always add salt, but not take it off). Finally we asked for left overs to be boxed to go. He put everything in one box which I have never seen for two customers before.
The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The service was great.
I used to come here a lot up until I moved out of the area a few years ago. After moving back I decided to give it a shot again for my daughters birthday.
When I made a reservation I asked for a table, not a booth which is rarely an issue. However I was forced to wait at the door by the hostess to see if the server would be ok with me at a table. I made a reservation a day in advance, this should have been worked out in advance.
Our server was Roman, he was excellent. He was attentive and was very polite to my daughter and I. His service was the bright spot of our dining experience.
The food was not as good as would have expected. Both of our steaks were overdone by one measure. I might expect this at a busy restaurant on a Friday night but they weren't even at half capacity. My steak was flavorful but my daughter's wasn't the best. My Baked potato was slightly underdone and nothing to write home about, my daughter's fries were saltier than a Hillary Clinton supporter at a Donald Trump rally. Seriously she was brushing salt off of them and they were still too salty.
Honestly not the restaurant it used to be. Very disappointing.
Noisy place for a business meal. We all ordered salads and the food didn’t arrive for 40 minutes, while everybody around us who came in after us were served before us. When the salads arrived they were overpriced for what we got (we could have gotten the same quality of food at Olive Garden at a much lower cost).
Maybe this place is better for after-work functions with beer and sports and not so good for a working lunch on a relatively strict time restriction.
Brunch was delicious as with any food we eat there
Loved the brunch options that were offered! Always appreciate mimosas being on the menu.
15 people and our server Roman did a great job keeping up with the table and drink request.
Food was good service was very slow
I have to say that every time I've gone with my family they never cease to amaze us on the quality of food and the great service provided to us while there.
Our only vise is other patrons dining are a bit noisy at times and its hard to have a quiet dining experience.
Always a great experience at Shulas 2!! This has become our Friday night spot as the kids menu has variety and portions are excellent. Booths with personal TVs are a great addition. Will be back soon!!
Got there on time for my reservation 15 min before they close and when I got there they had closed the registers and didn’t even looked at me, waited on the seating area for a couple of minutes and left
Food was reasonably priced and delicious! Service was great. Took family out for Father's day brunch. Definitely going back!
Service from Gerardo was excellent
Service was very slow.
Sorry to say, we sat at the bar to grab a quick bite and a drink before going to a concert. We got neither. The server was beyond slow and confused.
We waited 10 minutes to get waited on, and got the drinks wrong, asked for the correct drinks and never received them.
Other patrons were receiving the same service and issues. Our server seemed as though she could only handle one thing at a time, not a good attribute for a server.
We walked out.
Don Shula would be ashamed to have his name associated with this poorly managed restaurant! The restaurant was 30% full. Our reservation was at 4:30 and our waiter didn’t come to the table for 20 min. Long story short, the food was good but the management should be fired. We were on our way to a concert and missed the first 15 minutes.
The delay in the kitchen was horrible and disappointed.
Awesome service by the staff and the food was moderately priced with great taste. Highly recommended.
The food was very good. Took a little longer to get food once ordered.
Saturday brunch was excellent as usual. Highly recommend the Ham and Guyere cheese Omlet and the Wine Country Burger.
Had a client in town that only eats vegetarian, and thank goodness for your vegan burger. Thank you.
Unfortunately, the fire alarm kept going off, which interfered a bit with dinner. The good food was overshadowed by the deafening noise.
It was my first time for brunch and it wasn't good . Steak was over cooked I asked the waiter to modify my steak and eggs and he took no interest in getting it right . My wings where cold in the middle I mean a total disaster for my first visit .
One of the best things available in our neighborhood, so glad they are there. Great food and ambiance.
Although someone must have deleted my reservation, I was able to get seating for Thanksgiving lunch. Someone needs to be trained there!!
Meal was fabulous! Thank you to Miguel for saving the day and making my Mom so happy.
Food was okay.
This was by far the worst service we ever received!
The hostess acted like we were bothering her and literally threw our menus on the table. Our waitress wouldn't pay attention to us and lied to us about several things. My husband ordered a beer and she said the keg was being changed, 20 minutes later, she said they were out so he ordered a bottled beer. 10 Minutes later she said they were out of the keg! Then she charged us for both beers and said they were the same cost. We had the bill and they were two different prices! Absolutely horrible, would not recommend!
Great neighborhood gem.
Hubby's birthday! Great service
Food was pretty good, but service was just horrible
It was my first time at Shula's steakhouse and I got to say I really enjoyed my experience, the food came out quick and the employees were very polite and the sport games on the TVs make it a great place to go catch a game.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn from our waiter that they had the Miami Spice promo still going through the month of October.
We went to celebrate 2 birthdays. The food was superb on a par w/the service. Miguel our waiter was solicitous to the fact that we had two under 2 in our party and helped expedite their meals so as to keep them occupied. Will definitely go again & would highly recommend the beef!
Good food & nice environment. Kid friendly without being one of the usual restaurant chains.
I was disappointed with the food (the fish and chips) was fried too hard; the waiter was annoying to my guests! He kept saying that he will not do separate checks!
I noted that it was my wife's birthday on the reservation, but nothing was said or celebrated.
We have been to the Shula's Steakhouse which was a phenomenal experience, and we were hoping for a somewhat similar experience. Staff and service was great. They were very attentive to us, even with the oversight of the birthday.
We were assured that the steak quality was the same as that of Shula's Steakhouse, however our experience was that it was notably under the quality that we experienced at the main Shula's steakhouse. My wife's steak was extremely chewy and lacked flavor. My "fresh-caught" swordfish that I was recommended over the farm-raised catfish had some parts that tasted as though it was wrapped and frozen in cardboard and just re-heated. Not anything I would order again.
The Ghirardelli Brownie Sunday we ordered was another thing that is warmed up and served. Some restaurants have this method right, but the brownie was crunchy and tasted burnt, so another one was made for us. It wasn't much better and I think the issue is that it was old. Having literally come from the Ghirardelli in Orlando I think they would be disappointed this dessert bears their name.
Again, staff was excellent, and our waiter was very attentive. Food not so great, but perhaps since it has more of an upscale sports bar feel, instead of going with something more expensive, I should have gone with a cheap burger...
I don't see us returning to this location.
Excellent customer service and experience
