Shula’s 2 Steak & Sports Ratings and Reviews
This was by far the worst service we ever received!
The hostess acted like we were bothering her and literally threw our menus on the table. Our waitress wouldn't pay attention to us and lied to us about several things. My husband ordered a beer and she said the keg was being changed, 20 minutes later, she said they were out so he ordered a bottled beer. 10 Minutes later she said they were out of the keg! Then she charged us for both beers and said they were the same cost. We had the bill and they were two different prices! Absolutely horrible, would not recommend!
We went to celebrate 2 birthdays. The food was superb on a par w/the service. Miguel our waiter was solicitous to the fact that we had two under 2 in our party and helped expedite their meals so as to keep them occupied. Will definitely go again & would highly recommend the beef!
I noted that it was my wife's birthday on the reservation, but nothing was said or celebrated.
We have been to the Shula's Steakhouse which was a phenomenal experience, and we were hoping for a somewhat similar experience. Staff and service was great. They were very attentive to us, even with the oversight of the birthday.
We were assured that the steak quality was the same as that of Shula's Steakhouse, however our experience was that it was notably under the quality that we experienced at the main Shula's steakhouse. My wife's steak was extremely chewy and lacked flavor. My "fresh-caught" swordfish that I was recommended over the farm-raised catfish had some parts that tasted as though it was wrapped and frozen in cardboard and just re-heated. Not anything I would order again.
The Ghirardelli Brownie Sunday we ordered was another thing that is warmed up and served. Some restaurants have this method right, but the brownie was crunchy and tasted burnt, so another one was made for us. It wasn't much better and I think the issue is that it was old. Having literally come from the Ghirardelli in Orlando I think they would be disappointed this dessert bears their name.
Again, staff was excellent, and our waiter was very attentive. Food not so great, but perhaps since it has more of an upscale sports bar feel, instead of going with something more expensive, I should have gone with a cheap burger...
I don't see us returning to this location.
Absolutely nothing special about this place. So many empty tables and I can see why now. This is nothing like shula's Steakhouse. My husband's filet mignon was very good and so were the martins but that's where it stops. My daughter ordered the kids fried shrimp and it was horrible. Super greasy tiny little shrimp. I tried one and was disgusted. All I could taste was batter and oil. The sweet potatoes were very over cooked. My burger was ok but nothing special about it. Took the waiter a very long time to come back after he dropped of the food.
The food was good. The service was excellent. The only issue was that there was a party in the dining room that was so loud that it made the dining experience unpleasant. The hostess seated us as far away as she could, but it was still super loud.
We ordered the filet mignon, and the cut of steak was very good, but it was not very seasoned. The wedge salad was fantastic. The crab cake was also very good.
Grand reopening, Coach Shula was signing and taking pictures. Large crowd but larger dining rooms were not that crowded. Service was not great. I had a reservation, yet a couple walked up with no reservation and was seated and served at the exact same time as I was. Manager was circulating dining room but bypassed us, perhaps because we were two women........ Food was very average. Perhaps would be better on night there were no festivities. I am not sure I would be returning.
