Welcome to Shrub.
Modern Cafe Culture in the heart of Chester.
Whether it's a coffee in the morning, a light lunch on the terrace with a glass of wine from our eclectic selection, to an intimate dinner for two in the restaurant, we aim to offer something for everyone at every time of the day.
If you're not hungry join us for drinks in our bar area where you can sample some of our delicious in house cocktails.

Excellent food, (and neither of us are vegetarians), friendly but professional service. We have been twice when visiting Chester, and will definitely be back when next visiting Chester!

1st visit to Shrub and would highly recommend. Excellent vegan food with a great choice. Service from Charlotte was excellent who talked us through the menu and was very friendly. Will definitely visit again next time we are in Chester.

Of all the restaurants we have ever eaten in, this our favourite and undoubtedly the best. Calum and Sammie have managed to create the most fabulous place - it has great ambience, incredible food and the most wonderful and attentive staff. We should say of course, that without the best chefs in Cheshire (the UK?), none of this would be possible! If you haven't tried Shrub, you absolutely need to! Thank you to Calum, Sammie and the amazing team at Shrub for all the super meals - and the most amazing birthday party I could have wished for!
