Modern Cafe Culture in the heart of Chester.
Whether it's a coffee in the morning, a light lunch on the terrace with a glass of wine from our eclectic selection, to an intimate dinner for two in the restaurant, we aim to offer something for everyone at every time of the day.
If you're not hungry join us for drinks in our bar area where you can sample some of our delicious in house cocktails.

                                                                  4 of us went to Shrub today as one of our friends is vegan. We were initially sceptical about how good a meat/fish/dairy free meal could be, but all of us non-vegans were blown away by the quality and variety of food on offer. Well done Shrub. We've been completely converted and will definitely be returning - probably with other non-vegan friends.

                                                                  Went for a birthday treat, was greeted with a happy birthday for my guest, warm and welcoming even though we were 5 minutes late. Food was outstanding and beautiful, well presented and looked delicious on arrival. Being a fellow chef in the same industry i will be recommended to everyone I know. The menu was exciting making it difficult to choose. All the small plates didn’t disappoint especially the potatoes, cooked to perfection! Would highly recommend for meat eaters and vegans alike!😊
